here in iloilo nowadays is a business center of western visayas.and has 186 brgys,and a massive seamans and other ofws all over the world..and we can speak 4 languages as we used to be..Proud to be Ilonggo.subscribed.

I think it's not because Cebu is more advancing but Ilo Ilo is slow in terms of development.

I am proud to be ilonggo, also a proudly AJUYnon , as far as I know Ajuy is the 1st town of Iloilo Province used Jeepney that travels almost 100km away from from Iloilo City..
I remembered, my mother told me, they watch movies before. I still even see the old cinema buildings in the downtown. I pitty them cuz their use is already faded, but that's life.

I thînk the oldest school in iloilo is Colegio f San Jose locäted in Jaro
San Vicente Ferrer seminary is also one of the oldest learning institutions in ILOILO, founded in 1869. It had produced some illustrious leaders, like Graciano Lopez-Jaena, Martin Delgado, Jaime Cardinal Sin, etc.

@Zari Wilmot Good day! The only cinema that still exist here in Iloilo City is the Cine Palace(The oldest movie theater in the Philippines) located at JM Basa St. Iloilo City Proper. Others cinemas have been demolished already in the early years when it lost its popularity due to the economic crisis in Iloilo during World War 2. Thank you :)
