As Red Mage, you never get comms for being the Rez Mage. Saved my alliance multiple times in a raid yesterday and got *nothing*
There is simply too many people in the raid for you to notice the impact. Then there's like 10 items to roll in the end, and there are Adventurer Plates that also take attention away from your heroic feat.
In 4-man dungeons, you are much more likely to get commendations.

I really enjoy these mentor roulette experience videos. Helps remind me why I generally avoid the mentor roulette like the plague unless I’m DESPERATE for something to do.
Last Monday I also doing o12n and had a samurai stand in the exact same aoe with a stack, so that's kind of funny. Even though it is entierly their own fault, you still feel bad just watching them die. If this is how it feels when it isn't your fault, imagine how guilty chat must feel considoring it _is_ their fault, or at least how guilty they should feel.

We in the chat are pretty evil, that is very true. I’ll be honest Azu I was amazed you hadn’t started your own mentor roulette series yet, but I think it’s a great idea for you going into the future!
The reason RDM doesn’t get commendations after clutch res is because, ppl expect/demand you to turn res mage if they fail mechanics and so on.
I realized that already in shadowbringers, they take a rez to much for granted these days, which is sad since ppl will care less and less about not dying

Question, I am getting fairly close to having mentor like 10-12 extremes and a few hundred coms. It’s something I have mostly just let happen as I get around to seeing all the old extremes but with Dawntrail a few weeks away will the extreme requirements change day 1 of Dawntrail or will there be a period you can be 100 before the requirements change ? If it’s right away I might push to get it done first but if there is a grace period I will just keep doing as I have extra time for extremes vs taking the time to get one done every day.
Ill be honest, im not exactly sure, so apologies there! But usually the requirements aren't anything crazy and there is a grace period of how long you get to keep your mentor status so it shouldn't be anything worth too much worry

Tbh, I know you're still trying to get your sea legs on this series, but I think I honestly wouldn't mind a bit of in-duty footage/live commentary.
Referencing that other creators are doing the same in the beginning of your vid, I'm also watching Cider Spider's mentor series as well and he's doing live commentary throughout. Idk, kinda makes it feel more actively engaging BUT, I think it'd be cool if you did both. The current format where it's post-commentating with the wisdom of hind-sight at your disposal and then maybe cut in-between with live clips with your live reactions during certain parts that you thought were highly mentionable.

Red Mage has dualcast, which makes every other cast an instant cast, so they can just chain res like crazy

I still have to unlock Mentor Roulett ^^° I have enough commendation and so on, but I still have to clear several extremes >.

The extremes are the worst part about unlocking mentor roulette. I've been SLOWLY working through the endwalker extremes to prepare for dawntrail, but I still have the last 2 to do if I want to keep doing mentor roulette in dawntrail.
It's fun! But a really long grind... I think it's one of the longest, next to the leve quest achievements
Do it! I postponed it for more than a year, but now it's my favourite roulette. Once I did 120 clears in a week just playing 6 evenings. As of now there were no extreme we did not clear, even sephirot. Worst thing is other mentors who dip when faced with first wipes or even just entering extreme. Just don't treat it like mount grind, do it as long as you enjoy it.
