This was always my Ultimate road car growing up.
That will do hahahahaah Adam filled his jocks up then
Hemp makes the best ethanol btw fellas 👌 👏 Good stuff
Farmbots made of hemp powered by hemp planting hemp cannabis robots take harvest to 3d printers men and women get needs wants for free forever HalleluJah
I'm trying to unstick my tongue from the floor, I'm dribbling so much 🤪🤪🤪😋
Good to see my old Cosworth again. Rod bought it from me back in 96/97. I had Mark @ MA Developments do the stage 3 work for me. Back then it had 803 injectors and a T35 turbo along with a RS500 intercooler. Great tuner and I’m pleased Rod took the car to this level. Love to see the car again and experience the power it has now!!
Nice one Adrian! (What favourite performance car do you have now?)
Rod Millen ?
@@kermitahnenerbe3722 Rod Tarry, you can see his name on the plaque shown at 4:16
Lucky git👍👍💪🇬🇧
I had one with 675hp then sold it and bought a real monster a supra that i build and made it all wheeldrive 1648hp
I couldn’t afford the insurance for a Cossie when I was younger. Now I can afford the insurance I can’t afford the car.😂
Like the Lotus Carlton.
Don't you mean now you can afford the car you realised what a complete pile of SHIT they are, compared to what you can get now for the same money😅
Same here for the 2.8i capri
Mark was the GOAT when i had a cossie 25 years ago and looks like he still is!
Same! 25 years plus ago! He did my escort, 406bhp, we used to win all the 0-60’s 😂 I’ve still got it
I’d absolutely LOVE to see this on Officially Gassed battles. A bit of old school RS really showing the new boys how it’s done. Great video and thanks to Mark and the new owner and of course you Adam.
That would be cool!
Why. No need to blow up a classic
@@seanoxborough5830 Blow up? It’s a purpose built car for fast road use and fast quarter miles/top speed. Why the hell would it ‘blow up’ ? What difference in Mark driving it on the video in that manner is it any different to a rolling race on a controlled environment and runway? It’s a car… you drive them not stare at them in a garage.
I complete Agreed with that
@@seanoxborough5830 blow up lol, there clearly knowledgeable people this cars is far from thrown together, will do well on og battles for sure
It’s no wonder that Cosworth produced the most powerful formula one engines for so many years! Great British company 👏👌🇬🇧
Couldn't agree more!
And the V12 in the Valkyrie 😎
@@P1Fanatic and GMA t50/t50s and T33
Insane engine builders. They did so much head work on other companies engines also
Yes (I did my original apprenticeship on race/rally cylinder head design & development back in the 70s) and Cosworth were already the absolute “daddies” back then…
Marks depth of knowledge is unreal he has been involved in so many great cars over the years a legend in the building and tuning game
Rod Tarry Cosworth.! Didn’t think I’d see it again. Well done Mark for frightening the shite out of Adam. Superb video as always Adam ❤
The Sierra was frightening at 30MPH as it has a 1 star crash rating even with a cage i would never get in it.
Fourth gear and you screamed, absolutely priceless look on your face Adam lol brilliant.
Not gonna lie when that came on boost down that slip road it genuinely gave me goosebumps. What an absolutely amazing car generally love a sapphire cosworth 😍
Same! I love how it's just as happy as a daily driver. What a testament to the tuner/builder.
haha yeah I think Adam needed a new pair of pants after that
Your face when he floored it is one of the best laughs I've had! Brilliant
😂
Buy some new boxer shorts before you drive home Ad. Welm done!
Adam tapping out of pulls are some of CZcamss' most golden moments 🤣
Tbf the saff took off like a scalded cat on wood flooring lol
Don't often get the feel of how fast a car is through a camera but this looked BONKERS fast !!!
Thanks for making the trip and filming this. I thoroughly enjoyed it and pleased to see the car still on the road as it was such an iconic car. It brought back a lot of happy memories blasting around in Cosworths with mates.
That car is a blast from the past. Fair play Adam for the long drive. Loved the video. Keep up the hard work.
Like you Adam I remember this car from Passion Ford and Fifth Gear! Well done for making this video…Mark is a legend himself in the tuning world. Big respect to him. You’ll cherish this experience for ever 👍
Passion Ford and Fast Ford magazine…oh the memories
Such a epic car, great to see it again. Rod and Mark built an amazing machine.
Love that Rod used to drive it hard on the road absolute legend.
The look on Adams face when he was giving it some says everything, must feel mental having that much power in a Cosworth.
Fantastic video, legend Cossie, legend tuner and your face when Mark first floored it!!! Mark is so easy to listen too and his knowledge is outstanding, made my evening watching the best video you've put up on CZcams.
The legend that is Mark Shead. Wow. God like status.
Seems surprisingly civilised and smooth at normal road speeds.
Best video you've done to date mate, really enjoyed it.
Such a lucky man getting a go in this absolute legend of a car, more videos with Mark showcasing his skills would be fantastic to see.
Best video yet Adam. I remember watching this on 5th Gear as well years ago. Mark is a legend, all worth the 10 hour drive. My friend has a high power Ford FPV F6 Typhoon here in Australia and that thing has the “hand of god” sensation that few cars have, so I know how that feels!!
Mark is a genius. I remember seeing Rod and his Cossie at the Reading car meet back in the day !
I’m feeling old when you remembered the awaited updates on Passion Ford from Rod or Mark from MAD.
Adams face when mark gives it the beans 😂😂😂
Rods car is legendary in the Ford world
What an epic video. Marks a great guy and knows his stuff. Done a couple of mine in the past and always been spot on. That second gear pull past the camera sounds like nothing else. RIP Rod.
What a car, me and a fella from work always talk about that episode of 5th gear. Glad to see the Saph still running big power and driven like it should be. Quality video Adam.👍
I recognize all those roads, that bypass is famous for enjoying cars
Some nostalgia there. Like you I remember the car and rod from the PassionFord days. Mark is such a legend as well, always produced the numbers. One of the cossie tuning legends.
Great video as always mate love it 😎
This car is truly legendary, I'm glad it's still running to this day
Mark is a great bloke, always had a lot of time for him, not spoke to him for years but he’s a great bloke.
Rod too bless him, he always wound people up on Passionford but he was legit a really nice bloke and clever too, always got on with him the times I met him.
Legendary car and legendary builder and owner too.
Love it
Was cool to see mark as he is now. We were at school together and as we grew up and got into cars I saw his progression. He used to race Karts, but was a complete nut in cars as a teenager. He went through cars faster than tyres (which were often blue from the heat) Good memories.
Legend car, inspirational !!! Nothing like that fast Cosworth feeling. People just don’t understand.
Definitely!!! 👍🏼
😍 that’s mental. Keep up great work Adam 👍🏼
That was Mega, smiles for miles. A ride with Mr Cosworth Mark is legend that car is a weapon!!! Loved it.👍💪
These cars are something special. They are going up in value like crazy. When I was young my best mates dad bought a 4wd one in white in the Isle of Man. I went over to visit him and he took us round the TT course in it. Wow it was an experience I will never forget as a 13 year old. Everyone was looking at us as we drove by. 🙏
Amazing car, thank you so much to the owner for sharing this piece of history. Makes me miss my Saff so much, lucky to own one
LEGENDARY Cosworth and Tuner. thanks for making the vid man 👌
God bless Rod, an the passion ford day's...what a blast from the past, an as ever it's so cool to see folk like MAD still pushing the boost with for us old school ford lovers.
Thanks for the vid adam/Mark an the new owner, absolute belter of a car, hope to see it back out an shown aplenty 💪💪
Great episode. Love how natural Shead is with the full information download on the car. The secrecy surrounding these cars back in the day versus the transparency shown today all these years later is interesting. Nice one.
I remember this car was demod to the guy from Top Secret, Nagata, had to be the 90s, and the spec list was pretty empty, no secrets given away
@@matteightytwo I thought it was Shead's own black RS500 that was demo'd to the Japanese guy when he visited. I believe the comment was he admired the torque the car had. They were discussing back and fore the difference between skyline and cossie. Maybe Rod's Sapphire was there too, but I didn't remember it that way. Cheers
@@stevenross-watt8640 the torque was definitely mentioned but I'm sure it was a white car. Was a long time ago though
@@matteightytwo good to share these memories. Was it in fast ford or performance ford mag or something else? (edit, I think it was Max Power that brought him across so maybe it was a Max Power issue that had the details of him meeting MAD).
Love how it was just cruising about like a standard sierra then all hell broke loose, what an iconic car.
Wow amazing video Adam 👏 I've watched 19.22 on that first pull 6 times !! Your reaction is priceless 🤣
GLORIOUS, remember watching it on Fifth Gear, thank you for bringing this to CZcams.
Thank u so much for showing us this awesome car I loved talking to Rod when at the shows and mark mark is a true genius when it comes to tuning cossie. Thanks again
Such fond memories of going to shows with Mark and the gang back in the day. I remember travelling up to Donnington RS Show in a convoy of 5 Cossies and at 330hp mine was the least powerful of the group.
Good times indeed, I’ve still got my MADeveloment Cossie from 27 years ago!
Absolute weapon of a car 😍 remember it from back in the day , glad to hear the new owner is going to use it as a daily will certainly surprise a few modern day cars on the road 😉
What a fantastic build. What a technical and creative genius this man is. I'm absolutely blown away. Great video Adam. Great channel. Namaste x
I feel like Adam is the most down to earth lad on the CZcams seen. Love ya your stuff
Epic car, Mark is a Legend. I can spy my 3dr in the background
Looks like my 6RS up on the ramps.I hope so, as iv been nagging him to start it!
I only got my 5 RS back from him a few months ago......He is some boy, Mark.
Really like your new Supra....what are you getting done to your Cosworth?
👍 New loom and Emtron ECU, coilpacks injectors etc, new turbokit
@@JamieP.London Nice👍🏻....the emtron is a great piece of kit, iv got it on both my evo’s.
Great to see Mark is doing so well, built my old Escort cossie to 550bhp back in the day. Great content btw Adam, great to see Rods car is still around :)
U still got it?
@@germalean88g77 unfortunately No, i sold it back in 2012, wait for it 12k :( If i only knew what would happen to the prices of them
Wow proper trip down memory lane for me this is Adam. Not just rods car but ma developments and the passionford forum. Il never forget seeing Mark in his 500bhp 3 door at castle combe in the late 90s early 2000s smoking the rear wheels out of the last corner. I also had a F reg sapphire cosworth back then too so great memories. Thanks for the video
I remember that we came up in a convoy from marks house to castle Combe and he smoked every car there ,unfortunately he got kicked off for breaking the decibel limit several times on the first session.
Mark is an absolute wizard. That cars been my favourite Cossie since Rod did all the power runs down for Performance Ford mag back in the day!
Love listening to how marks knowledge just flows out like it’s nothing clever clever guy!
Awesome video! This car brings back fond memories. Glad to see back on the road. Hopefully the new owner will put it to good use, it’s what Rod would have wanted. Mark is the best tuner out there, he can drive too!
Absolutely brilliant video adam the best I've seen involving a cossie
19:22 is what all us petrolheads love about cars - love how much it got you buzzing mate! 😊
Class!! Adam shit his cosworth pants 😅 Brilliant watch thanks 👏
I would love to see this car go 210mph that would have been brilliant 👌
Just brilliant Adam….enjoyed every bit of that…car, owners, tuner and video 👌👌👌
Another Ford legend, fantastic video Adam and amazing to see its being kept as Rod would have wanted.
Hi Adam I can remember actually seeing Mark and Rod at an event back in the day ,not sure if it was at Woodbridge or terminal velocity. The sierra hit 208 mph but on a average of the 2 runs it was recorded at 206 mph . It was only beaten by a female nurse that was driving a dodge viper .she hit 215 mph . Such a cool car and a fantastic owner .had to pleasure of meeting him on a few occasions over the years.
The nurse was Nadine Geary she saved for years for the Viper.
Can you remember which event it was at . I do remember that I entered my e38 728i for a laugh on the top speed trails and I was getting 152 mph out of the old barge 🇩🇪👍
The nurse story rings a bell now you mention it Shane
@@Adam151082 By all accounts if I remember she’d seen a Viper and swore to own one so she saved up for about 5 years or something and was living on jacket spuds and just saving every penny of her money till she finally bought one.
Awesome video and car. Watched that video of it running 200mph many times back in the day. Martin is a legend 👌
What a car!!!!! and what a lovely humble guy Mark is too, so knowledgeable. Great video.
What a genuine lad Mark is, hope you had some spare undies Adam, I'll take you for a run out in my STI one of these days, it's running 660 on methanol.
Message me on Instagram Kevin 👍🏼
Cossie legends will never die. Great video!
Legendary! Thanks for this video, brings back good memories
Years ago when I was in the alloy wheel business I remember speaking to Rod Tarry about a set of wheels for this very car. Although we didn't do business he seemed to be an absolute gent. Good to see this car is still around. :)
Good to see this...I remember driving a saph 4x4 with 400 brake back in the day and it was silly quick..👌
So nice to see rod’s car again, had the pleasure of mark driving my old cosworth sat in the passenger seat was well, erm frightening. Normal road car indeed, used to see him down the Chinese takeaway, just poodling around in it. The fact it was so driveable in normal conditions was amazing.
Brilliant video again from Adam really enjoyed that 👏 spot on mate
A monster, legendary for sure and a piece of UK tuner history
Adam your reaction from that first pull was brilliant what a machine quality mate. Hats off to mark too top bloke
Didn't know Mark was still going in the tuning game, great to see him after so many years. Used to see him regularly when I was active in the Evo scene.
Amazing car and such a excellent story behind this as well. I remember buying FastFord in early 1999 seeing a white sapphire Cosworth sitting on 17” Rondell alloys tuned by M.A Developments, still my favourite Ford ever. Just wish I could buy a decent one now.
This is why we love cars, your face on the first pull, brilliant 🤣
I've love them since the 90s. Even though I've got a 400bhp MR2 Turbo now as my toy. Sierra cosworth are 👌🏾
By far the best reaction video i have ever seen, what a machine, awesome!!
Got to love this one. Great work on the build and the video guys! 😊
The panic/redness and smile on your face says it all !! 😉👍🏴
What a knowledgeable and humble man very happy I watched this thank you 😊
Great video Adam. What a monster. I can’t begin to imagine what that level of power must feel like. My ‘88 Sapphire was running around 270BHP when I sold it. Tony Mannock at Turbo Systems took us out in his project 2WD the day I had a full stainless system fitted on mine. I think his was running around 450BHP at the time and that was mental 😁
What a nice guy is Mark! I used to see this a lot at the meets around Berkshire, and Rod too, many moons ago now!
this is such a legendary car, Rod was such a top guy and had so much enthusiasm specially for his car and competition, Mark as well is a cool guy and boy can this guy drive, went out with him in his 400bhp escort cossie when i was in my teens and i found out then he was a gutsy driver. Mark has such an attention for detail other tuners don't have, would love a ride in Rods car now
Well I just subscribed, talk about a legend car, so good to have a break down video of it with the mad man who built it. Throttle down from Chicago ✌️
Great video about a truly magnificent car. It was only yesterday that I eventually got around to reading about it in last months Classic Ford magazine. The look on Adam's face when Mark nailed it was absolutely priceless!! Americans love their V8s, but as ford lovers know the cosworth engine is actually derived from the engine they wholeheartedly rejected, the humble PINTO!! I would love to see this car at Santa Pod if it ever went there, it'd be the best car of the day. Much respect and thanks to Mark for the years and work he's put into the car. I'm now going to watch the 5th gear episode this car was originally on, as I didn't watch it back in the day. RIP Rod.
Legendary sound from that coming on boost love it the knowledge this man has is something else 🙌
It isn't often you see Adam gobsmacked! that power when he done the send was just awesome!!
That pull and your face Adam, it was priceless.
Adam that was priceless your face when he put his foot down & I've never heard so much car jargon that bloke is a 100% legend just amazing footage 👏 🙌 😀
Wow, that was flying!! Great video as always👌
What a humble guy who respects the car as it should be! And that sound on boost wowowow👌👌👌👌👌
I love the good old fashioned vented whined sunroof!! Used to love using that little handle instead of a button ❤
Brilliant video, was a child in the Cosworths era ethereal cars then and now
One of the best videos I have seen in my life - thanks so much everyone who has ever been involved with this amazing iconic Cossie - Wow - it's made my year!!
Absolutely awesome wasn't expecting this today
Amazing engineering gone into that 👏 I've watched the top speed video on fith gear numerous times what a legend of a car
Wow, just wow. Thank you for capturing this amazing content 🙏👊
That car is proper MENTAL! Plus what a pure diamond Mark was for showing you round it and taking it out and proper giving it some! I have a rough idea of how fast you were going when you give it your customary "that`ll do, that`ll do" and it was moving at a mad old rate haha!
Adam it’s nice to think that decent cossies are already worth double what they were making five years ago! (Well that’s your new garage paid for anyway buddy!) Great video, thanks for sharing 🙏👌🇬🇧
Seen this gent on a view videos before, he really knows his stuff. What a car, wow
Pinnacle of ford boys wet dream grail.
Love it.
Another top vid,
Thank you Adam
Awesome car and engineered by the legend himself. Great to watch 👌
