Dublin was a huge party that whole weekend. Music everywhere, people out enjoying timeselves, what a weekend. Haven't seen dublin so alive in quite some time. Come back soon.
For the girls from Brittany's podcast, the 'King of Dublin' part is at 2:03:01 !!!
YESSSSSSSSS
💀
Thanks bestie 🙏
@@AlphaBea01 Np 🫶🏼🫶🏼!
Glad this was posted so I can watch - I live a 5 min walk from the aviva stadium, I can hear games and concerts from my apartment - but I was actually out of town for the weekend so missed all the action in the streets around here. I go to the pubs the fans would of been at. Hope everyone enjoyed the trip and their time in Ireland
I love that this game comes to Ireland
Beautiful ☘️ Fighting Irish,in Ireland 👍 Go Irish
Great to see Americans enjoying themselves in Ireland, always welcome. TAL.
Honestly I thought Noah Eagle is a better commentator than Jac Collinsworth
Me, too.
Frankly that's not saying much. Jason Garrett is awful as usual
I agree
Helen Keller is a better commentator than the Nepo baby
@@mcguire1262 Still better than Jac Collinsworth. Luckily I'll be going to the Central Michigan game in a few weeks so I won't have to hear Double Trouble Toil and Trouble for that game at least.
This video gives me Chills! Awesome experience for both teams!
Go Irish! ☘️☘️
LUCK OF THE IRISH
8:31 Kickoff
Going to be another good season for them, I bet.
Noah Eagle is still a great commentator! Love the new NBC College Football Scorebug.
Notre Dame apparently got the name "Fighting Irish" when the KKK invaded South Bend in 1925 and were going to "teach" the blacks, Catholics, and Jewish people a lesson. Well many of the ND students were Irish and they went to downtown South Bend and took care of business. Go Irish!
No it comes from the Irish brigade in the Civil War. The brigade chaplain was Fr. William Corby, CSC, the third president of Notre Dame.
@@22grenathere are many stories, and no one can prove the actual one
The name was actually used intermittently for our team before that, but driving the KKK out of South Bend solidified the moniker🍀👏
In a 1581 volume, musician Vincenzo Galilei, the father of the astronomer Galileo described the Irish as an "unconquered fierce and warlike people... ".
So in otherwords they like a good fight.
Frank Fehr, who played in the very first game against Michigan in 1887, said during a 1957 interview that when ND played Northwestern in Evanston in 1889, Wildcat fans started chanting, "Kill those Irish! Kill those fighting Irish!" even though they only had a few Irish players.
Fantastic!
Hope all yous American visitors enjoyed Dublin.
NBC, Notre Dame, please, KEEP NOAH EAGLE as the play by play announcer. I'm effing beggin you. He may not be Mike Tirico, but he sounds way more entertaining.
Still a fantastic game over all though.
AFAIK, Jac Collinsworth will be back for the Tennessee State game. I know, sad. 😢😢
@@RandyDubinNope Jac is still sick so Paul Bermeister will be filling in.
Even sounds like an utopía We are ready ro receive a regular season game of college football here in México City !! it'll be a honor in a country that really loves football !!!Goya Irish !!!
GO, IRISH.
I FINALLY like the QB...Kelly was a waste of many years. LOVE Freeman!!
I can’t wait for 2026 in Baltimore
Most of the fans are americans because 40 000 travelled and the total attendance was 49000 which is nearly a full house the capacity is just 51000 .Not to say that there would have been locals if the stadium was big enough like croke park on the otherside of the city
They make sure there's tickets for all the Americans, they don't release a lot of tickets to the locals because it wouldn't be fair for all those Americans travelling to miss out on tickets
@@maidenaholic Thats as it should be however i wonder if croke park wasn't better choice for this event other college games AVIVA is ok ,but notre dame has such a big draw. The last time notre dame came they could have sold out AVIVA twice
@gallowglass2630 yeah croke Park would be better because there where people looking for tickets still. Croke Park holds nearly 90,000 people. Enough for the locals and Americans to go
@@maidenaholicProblem with that is last game in Croker 37,000 only turned up this was before this Ireland weekend took off, 37,000 in an 84,000 stadium not a good look
@@johncahalane7327 Yes but i think Notre dame has a phenonemal draw and they would attract attract north of 60 000.Other games AVIVA is ideal
Marcus, Sam...potential diplomats the way they praised the host nation. Sam is 'great gas' saying he got the shillelagh from the 'King of Ireland'!
I think he meant the mayor of dublin. We usually give out hurley sticks rather than shillelaghs ,but thats a rugby and soccer stadium so the shillelagh was a better choice. There is fierce competition between the sports in ireland

58:36 Song?
Of the 100 snaps taken in this game… this video has 99 of them. Left out Navy’s only score 😂😢
Jesus Navy got crushed 😭
Why did you cut out the intro?
because it does not belong to them
correct - we didn't have the music rights!
Something is dreadfully wrong and needs to be changed. You are giving Notre dame an automatic win which befuddles many of us. How about having the Dames play a power house. But no, the Dames get an easy first win. Stop the nonsense, play fair, and play competitive opponents.
Exactly what ND does, 4 teams we face every year, standford, usc, purdue and more good teams, every school have rivalry. So be quiet
PLEASE tell me why they decided to take away first down clock stops from our game? Does it help the players? I certainly don't like shorter games! I wait ALL YEAR FOR 12 WEEKS
They're saying it's a safety issue. Shorter games are safer. I don't see it , and I don't think anyone else does for that matter.
Same here. It's all a political act. They had to shorten the game to make more room for their ads. Never trust the white collar brass that runs this sport...it's all about $$.
Takes away a lot of thrill in close games. Think this was a big mistake.
Exactly

Does that rule increase the actual ball in play time for a football game which I think is about 11 minutes or so on average I’m Not sure but shorten the gap between yes ?
It’s interesting conversation in other sports in terms of ball in play time . I missed this game completely as there is a lot of big Rugby games being played right now just before the World Cup starts next week and South Africa absolutely pancaked New Zealand in a game where there was 35 mins of actual ball in play in an 80 minute game and some NZ experts were of the opinion that the amount of time it wasn’t in play helped the South Africans beat up physically their own boys
If the Irish ☘️ played an SEC team for instance would not a longer ball in play help them in a physical match up sense ???
HATE!! 2023 1ST Down Clock Rule
