Even then you would probably want to split them into male to female, and female to male divisions because they still wouldn't be equal. Even then you'd have to split them up even further into weight classes.
I am a woman. I completed in BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing and MMA. I am one of those thicker women who had naturally good muscle mass (for a woman). I trained with a lot of men. Some weighed less. There is a HUGE difference between the 2. I was actually upset to experience it for myself, but not only are they stronger, they recover so much faster. I had to train twice as hard to just keep up. They don't have hormone cycles from their periods like we do, and THAT effects sports. I mean, it is appalling to see how many people don't get it. I mean, even in combat sports they have weight classes because it is so important for the fighters safety.

I didn't know what the fuck I was doing, but she couldn't maneuver me and it wasn't that hard to get out of any lock or choke she was trying to do. I'm 6' to 6'1 and 220(bulked up alot). Technique can only take you so far when you have an obvious size disadvantage. Even here on CZcams, saw a 6'2 guy weighing atleast 240 of muscle manhandle a black belt bjj who was around 5'8/5'9ish and 160lbs(being generous). Size makes a difference

Considering that to be allowed to fight, transgender male to female fighters must undergo complete "surgical anatomical changes ..., including external genitalia and gonadectomy" a.k.a castration and subsequently a minimum of two years of hormone replacement therapy. I don't think you will find many male volunteers.

I grew up in the 1980s and remember the big push to get women involved in sports. Within a few decades, I saw woman's hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball, and so many other sports take off. It didn't matter that it didn't take off professionally, it was just great if you had a daughter in 2000, that she'd have far more choices of sports in school, college, and beyond. Great. More team sports, more health and fitness, more competitions, etc. My guess, within this decade, they'll had dropped girls sports back down the pre-1980s levels as girls drop out (or don't enter) sports because trans-women are dominating them. 30+ years of progress, tossed out in a decade. Lovely. And then the left will scream about inequality between boys and girls and blame the men for denying girls the opportunity to play sports.
Using your logic a trans man would be taking testosterone which is a massive booster for females and they would therefore have a massive advantage in a fight against a woman but as they where born a woman they should only fight women. And on the flipside a trans-woman would have much reduced testosterone levels which is a massive disadvantage and they would therefore be at a massive disadvantage in a fight against a man but as they where born a man they should only fight men. I am not saying that they should only be allowed to fight in the class of the gender they are transitioning into as that does not solve the problem either as Joe notes in this video, But what I am simply saying is that in order to create an even and fair platform for all it does not works the other way either. Regrettably, the only way there will be a level playing field in sports competition is for Trans athletes is to have a separate class for Trans athletes. Which does seem like a backwards step, however it would keep the sports fair for non-trans athletes.
@Boondock Saint The point you miss about what I said is that a Trans woman is at a natural advantage as their body is producing a natural steroid that puts them at a massive advantage over females who's bodies don't produce the same steroid. Yes there is suppressants that they can take but as a result of their potential advantage that they have to ensure a level playing field they need to be harshly scrutinized ensure they are taking this medication and also that their testosterone levels are at an acceptable level at all times. I agree this isn't really fair on the Trans Athletes to go through further and more intense testing that cis athletes, but at the same it isn't really fair on the cis athletes either to allow people with a massive potential advantage to compete in the same sport. Especially in sports like Boxing and MMA where there are other advantages physical advantages beyond testosterone that are not effected by transitioning from male to female such as hand size and bone density.

This is not just a western phenomenon, nor is it new, gender dysphoria is a mental issue that has be around for forever. India is larger than all of the US and Europe combined and they legally recognize transgenders and allow surgery. Again, not a Western thing.
I once had a feminist female karate student that was very talented and very courageous in light contact sparring and grappling. She opened up her all female dojo and invited me to teach a class. I was glad to do so. I had been her Sensei for over five years and had encouraged her to open up her own school. After a nice class workout she asked me to spar and I agreed. I thought we would have fun sparing and having her students see timing, distance, fakes, etc. Nothing rough. At a certain point she got really aggressive and I barely avoided getting hit hard a couple of times I stoped the sparing and asked her to take it easy. I told her I wasn’t wearing a cup so to please stop going for my crotch. She responded with a wise crack meant to impress her students and came at me hard again. I put a fast front instep snap kick into her crotch and she fell down in pain. I acted like it had been an accident and apologized… but she knew. As former military man followed by twelve years of contracting in five continents I have seen my share of tough women in bars, dives and whore houses… and more than once on the field of battle. In spite of current movies and other make believe stories… women are not suited for hard combat against men.

This is probably the best response and analogy I've read. I think one of the biggest issues is that transgendered men and transgendered women somehow how feel "less than" so they feel they have to fight "greater than" so they can feel "equal to". Honestly I completely understand why they might feel this way BUT, it's about fighting/competing on an equal playing field. I am also an athlete, and if I played competitive sports, I would find it 100% physically threatening to participate with anyone who has a male biological advantage. I grew up in the 1980s and remember the big push to get women involved in sports. Within a few decades, I saw woman's hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball, and so many other sports take off. It didn't matter that it didn't take off professionally, it was just great if you had a daughter in 2000, that she'd have far more choices of sports in school, college, and beyond. Great. More team sports, more health and fitness, more competitions, etc. My guess, within this decade, they'll had dropped girls sports back down the pre-1980s levels as girls drop out (or don't enter) sports because trans-women are dominating them. 30+ years of progress, tossed out in a decade. Lovely.
And then the left will scream about inequality between boys and girls and blame the men for denying girls the opportunity to play sports.

Using your logic a trans man would be taking testosterone which is a massive booster for females and they would therefore have a massive advantage in a fight against a woman but as they where born a woman they should only fight women.
And on the flipside a trans-woman would have much reduced testosterone levels which is a massive disadvantage and they would therefore be at a massive disadvantage in a fight against a man but as they where born a man they should only fight men.
I am not saying that they should only be allowed to fight in the class of the gender they are transitioning into as that does not solve the problem either as Joe notes in this video, But what I am simply saying is that in order to create an even and fair platform for all it does not works the other way either.
Regrettably, the only way there will be a level playing field in sports competition is for Trans athletes is to have a separate class for Trans athletes. Which does seem like a backwards step, however it would keep the sports fair for non-trans athletes.

The point you miss about what I said is that a Trans woman is at a natural advantage as their body is producing a natural steroid that puts them at a massive advantage over females who's bodies don't produce the same steroid.
Yes there is suppressants that they can take but as a result of their potential advantage that they have to ensure a level playing field they need to be harshly scrutinized ensure they are taking this medication and also that their testosterone levels are at an acceptable level at all times.
I agree this isn't really fair on the Trans Athletes to go through further and more intense testing that cis athletes, but at the same it isn't really fair on the cis athletes either to allow people with a massive potential advantage to compete in the same sport. Especially in sports like Boxing and MMA where there are other advantages physical advantages beyond testosterone that are not effected by transitioning from male to female such as hand size and bone density.

Honestly it probably wouldn't be long before they stopped trying that themselves, after a few beatdowns. But the other way, yeah it's an absolute no-no.
@@ThatsPety maybe if we did create a trans league more people would come out as trans athletes and there might be enough for legitimate competition. I think I would actually watch that. It would be interesting to see the different gender identities competing and what not. But also the rarity of the trans community is what's frustrating. About 0.5% of the US is trans, yet we're bending over backwards, ruining the competition for women (who make up about half of the US), just because we don't want to hurt anyones feelings. I'm all for trans rights, but this is just getting ridiculous and it's a true injustice towards biological women.

This is not just a western phenomenon, nor is it new, gender dysphoria is a mental issue that has be around for forever. India is larger than all of the US and Europe combined and they legally recognize transgenders and allow surgery. Again, not a Western thing.

I once had a feminist female karate student that was very talented and very courageous in light contact sparring and grappling.
She opened up her all female dojo and invited me to teach a class. I was glad to do so. I had been her Sensei for over five years and had encouraged her to open up her own school.
After a nice class workout she asked me to spar and I agreed.
I thought we would have fun sparing and having her students see timing, distance, fakes, etc. Nothing rough.
At a certain point she got really aggressive and I barely avoided getting hit hard a couple of times
I stoped the sparing and asked her to take it easy. I told her I wasn’t wearing a cup so to please stop going for my crotch. She responded with a wise crack meant to impress her students and came at me hard again.
I put a fast front instep snap kick into her crotch and she fell down in pain.
I acted like it had been an accident and apologized… but she knew.
As former military man followed by twelve years of contracting in five continents I have seen my share of tough women in bars, dives and whore houses… and more than once on the field of battle.
In spite of current movies and other make believe stories… women are not suited for hard combat against men.

This is probably the best response and analogy I've read. I think one of the biggest issues is that transgendered men and transgendered women somehow how feel "less than" so they feel they have to fight "greater than" so they can feel "equal to". Honestly I completely understand why they might feel this way BUT, it's about fighting/competing on an equal playing field. It's not about feelings of equality or hurt feelings - it's about fairness and how it pertains to a fighter's safety. Again - I loved your analogy. Thanks
