I made one of these "styles" of a stove out of two stainless steel stock pots a few years ago. A couple things I learned, it is only smokeless when it has a hot burning fire with the wood below the top ring. Also, the double wall doesn't make it a good fire pit to sit around and expect to stay warm on cold nights. There isnt all that much radiant heat that comes off of it except at the top. This said, the ambiance and cool factor, two thumbs up.

Its waaay too overpriced for what it is and especially for being made in China, which was ment to make it cheaper. Greed is a great sin. They sell stoves on sale using BOGO principle, which really tells about the pricing - its real cost is twice lower than they usually sell and they still make profit of it. Think about it.

Ageeed, I use a stainless steel washing machine drum and love it. Got 7 years of clean clothes out of it and now I enjoy it as a firepit. This maybe has more features but mine was free.

So all of the air goes in at the bottom under the fire...some of that air travels up the between the double wall...as the now hot air exits the top holes it ignites the unburned fuel that would have presented as smoke. Cool eh?
