This is why season 7 was one of the best season despite the planes they weren’t that bad as the rest of the updates like the mechs.
Planes were fun, tbh. They ruined them with the fuel mechanic, but they were fun in season 7. Nothing in Fortnite is permanent, so I don't get why people cry so much about fun items.
I started in Season 7 and I liked the planes. I don't cry about the fun items being gone. Sure ill Miss planes, The Grabitron, The Inflata-Bull and the marvel Mythic Powers. But it forms memories, people will always have a place for these weapons, Mythics aren't permanent, and we will always have memories of these weapons. And Creative will always preserve some of these weapons, Theu even brought some of the Mythics from Chapter 2 to Creative. While Weapons like The Grabitron probably wasn't added to Creative since it probably wouldn't be easy to port into creative. But Creative is always a Way to use and play around with these weapons.
Season 7 overall was aids except for siphon in the last update of it
The Mechs We’re not bad at all in the game they were genuinely balanced the sweats for the pieces of shit babies so fucking complained about it and wanted their game to be a “Build” meta
my friend and I got 40 kills each on the first day of the air royale mode lol

season 4 was the best imo
double pumps, shopping trolleys, hop rocks, etc

There really was no Gold Era cause no one is ever satisfied.

This is the video I wanted to see. I’ve been sayin this for years now, siphon in pubs, faster harvesting, planes were finally balanced, stretched was still a thing. Still can’t believe siphon was removed from pubs... #revert

siphon was the worst because every sweat you encountered would be at full health and would encourage finishing downed enemies
walter white People finish the enemies they down anyways. Ppl want loot and even if they didn’t most people still want to get their elim. Not to mention it’s the persons fault for getting down in the first place. It’s part of the game, in solos you would have been out of the game anyway with or without siphon. 🤷♂️

without a doubt chapter 1 had the best updates ever. season 5 and 7 had a very special part in my heart. FUN was in mind. not money. they knew how to fix things. they listened to the community. THE BATTLEPASSES MADE SENSE.
And chapter 2 season 2 didn't? Or 5? They all make sense in a way, besides the one we are on
@@ADMICKEY ch2 s2 had a lot of problems, such as: 120 days long, no content for 50+ days, op aim assist, op mythics, aim botting henchmen, no communication etc etc.
Chapter 1 was a lot better

vividly remember that update, it was really fun and I remember really grinding out pubs.
although i dont think syphon belonged in pubs because it made a casual based game like fortnite a lot more W key/aggressive making it harder for new players to play. (although i did have fun at the time just running around w keying everyone)
I personally feel siphon is a good addition rewarding kills, and not leaving 1 hp if you kill a team
@@3than1011 While really enjoyable, siphon naturally only encourages aggression. It makes a game mode that is meant for the casual average player way harder because a good player will just kill over and over and be hard to stop since third partying is nerfed since you wouldn't be able to just sneak in a bullet or 2 to get a free kill, which is a common strategy of casual play; just letting the good players kill each other and then killing one because they weren't paying attention is satisfying for new players. Siphon doesn't force playing as safe. Siphon also encourages players to immediately eliminate downed opponents for their health, which isn't enjoyable for the average player. This is why I want them to bring back shakedowns, but that's another story.
Siphon works fine in a serious mode like Arena because it's meant to be extremely aggressive. In casuals, it only makes the game harder, and removes the need to play safely and carry lots of meds.

The redeploy item was so fun too. I wish they add that back but make it a little rarer maybe
You forgot the addition of drift boards and the overtime challenges. The season 7 overtime challenges were the first to be added and also has the season 8 battle pass for free

Watching skyla's footage in the background made me lowkey zone out the negative aspects like rocket launchers. That stretched resolution is just... Beautiful. Honestly, i really enjoyed season 6, and i loved the snow biome in season 7 but after 7.40, this season has been cemented (at least in my mind) as the best season of fortnite ever.

Even though I didn't like that they removed siphon, I kinda get why they removed siphon from pubs... but why is it not in Team Rumble?
The amount of times i win a diffucult fight against 3 people with like 10 health just to be finished off by their teammate with an MK-Seven.

Little late but yeah. That's one I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around. Even if it was in smaller increments like 20/30 it would be nice.
now that SBMM is in fortnite I dont see why they wouldn't add siphon back to pubs. better players in more skilled lobbies would have more fun since they wouldnt have to farm as much and can W key eachother , and lower level players wouldnt have to worry about the better players completely destroying them. I never cared much for SBMM but I feel this would be a perfect compromise. I also never understood why epic took out the boosted materials either, farming in pubs isn't really something i think anyone wants to do and so I just feel like the game would be more fun.

Ngl the past two updates that came out were god tier. Even the one before also technically came with weather and winterfest so like these have been pretty insane updates recently
siphon and mats in pubs was the best time and i miss it so much… now are my irl friends finally back to fortnite but its dumb to play pubs with them( even they dont like it without) and arena they get destroyed cuz of my points

This was my favorite update. Syphon made the game so play able and rewarding. Me and my friend would duo sqaud and it was so much fun.
I loved siphon and I don’t know why they had to remove it. I think siphon, glider redeploy, and the old pumps(not double just the grey and green)

Removing siphon was directly the reason for my irl friends to quit. Arena was too sweaty in season 8-9 and pubs were just boring without siphon. I literally only played arena even when I got dogged on. Eventually I did get good enough to a point where it became fun again. Boy was season x bad though, meta wise but also that all my friends quit then.
I loved this update when it came out, but I did miss the damage the hand cannon did to walls. Not anymore but at the time I missed that a lot
honestly i think the infantry rifle would be good with projectiles instead of hitscan. makes for a unique weapon
Siphon makes solo duos/solo squads so much better

I have been saying this for so long, chapter 1 season 7 started so many things for the competitive community:
First time stretched res got super popular (yes even bigger than season 5)
First time that transportation became important in end game
A lot of amazing players doing a lot for the scene
And so much more
Siphon in pubs was good and all but that was the start of people finishing knocked players all the time even when they removed siphon. Thank goodness they brought reboot vans though. I think reboot vans is one of the best things added to the game.
People ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, finished knocked players. That's never not been a thing.

@@jackm3672 oh yeah I support Siphon in pubs since thirsting would have become the way it is now anyway. But before Siphon most enemies would often do an emote long enough for a mate to come and save me. Literally impossible after siphon update.

i think they should add siphon on kill but only up to 150 hp or 100 hp just so you have a fighting chance if you win a fight at low health
Yeah, that was a nice update, if we ignore the fact that it basically introduced pub stomping, which made a lot of casuals quit the game (and that's why siphon was removed next season)

Question, in close combat if someone with lower ping rapid fires i cannot shoot until they have finished or get my second shot off, why is this? It is so annoying. It like my pump locks.

Not for me, no one danced with me, unlike chapter 2, where sometimes I went on road trips with 3 other people, we'd emote, play soccer and just have fun, I also met all of my online friends during that time, besides racing with others in solos or fish with 4 people in solos arena or giving people free wins or gas stations or helping others do quests and so much More is just 1000x more fun than being harvested for some health that won't help them in the long term

I can see why you like siphon but it sucked for average players, before people would typically ignore you and go for the squad wipe but after it they would go out of their way to kill you in a land without reboots
Now that I think about the reason why I quit fortnite for a little bit was because, 1 I sucked at it, 2 the meta in season 7 was terrible

Who would've known the golden age of Fortnite was during when the game was at it's lowest when Apex Legends first came out.
I was against siphon because it encouraged one play style: rushing. That said, Epic has done nothing to encourage other play styles, so at this point they may as well bring back siphon. Everyone rushes anyway.
