  • Checking out the 6 siege core box.
I ordered this from Mythic Games the core box is $140 and Shipping was $20.
It was kind of a crazy thing to buy for so much but it is a lot of fun.

There is no separate "retail" edition but rather MG is selling the Kickstarter edition in their store. You just bought the core box pledge without any expansions. Technically the KS exclusives are the replacements of the cardboard cameras with a standee, the acrylic overlays for smoke/gas/fire vs the cardboard version in the prototype and a free alternative Zero operator if you pledged during the KS campaign.
I agree though that the core box has plenty. You have 10+ operators for each side, two maps and three types of mission to run which is plenty of combination. I would say though the the map expansions and additional year operators does change the dynamic of the game a bit. For instance, in the core game operators are generally safe from engagements once they are on the upper floor (unless on overwatch) but there are operators on both side in the following expansions that have abilities to target operators on upper floor.

Will the minis fit in their slot with the rings already on? That space would be very helpful for some tokens instead.

Not really. Honestly though, the base rings is supposed to be a temp measure till you get familiar with the minis. Some like me also print out insignia stickers that can be sticked to the mini base (not base ring) for identification

@@xionchen right on, thanks. I’ll look into the stickers when my copy gets in.

    I don't trust the company.

I agree. Trust the company for a new crowdfunding campaign...only if you are brain dead. But...buying the limited print of 6:Siege from their eshop, I would say is an acceptable risk if you think the gameplay is for you. The copies are already produced and in the fulfillment center. So it is just a matter of purchasing it and wait for it to ship to you. I say it is an acceptable risk because this should be well within the credit card chargeback period if MG just took your money and ran.

@@tommychen8946 And I would not stop thinking of the gamer that paid for that game and didn't give into the extortion. Never support extortionists, even if it's profitable to you, that is how they survive. A matter of principals is all.

Yea...MG is not going to survive on their extortion. At best, they are limping to the end to "finish" 6: Siege and DD wave 2. Most of their IPs are sold off and they don't know what to do with the last 2 (?) that they still have to finish. The only way for MG to continue forward is to do another crowdfunding and that is never going to work for them now. There will always be some backers who fund any campaign but there won't be enough now for MG to thrive/survive.
