If we're talking about spiderman (or any Marvel character), the single joint would be unacceptible, but I personally won't be putting the armorer in an action pose - she belongs at her forge IMO.
Regarding the single joints, I feel that they’re not a deal breaker as it’s quite appropriate for the figure. The armorer is not going to be in any crazy poses so a double joint would be overkill
I have been "meh" about the Armorer before they ever announced it. After this and Justin's video, I have zero desire to get this figure. They should have either raised the price a little bit and given us a forge or lowered the price. At $245, this figure is not worth it to me.

For me, it’s the 4 screws in the boots that screams “couldn’t be bothered”.
Gotta say,we should not have to swap bodies on a figure at this price point.

I just unboxed mine. The Wookie fur ìs beautifully soft.
You have to think of the amourer's job. Not many poses are needed. Would be nice to have a forge included.

Those single jointed elbows shocked me too it kind of blows the articulation really isn’t the best, I really am a fan of the aesthetics though. Great review as usual

Thanks for the video! Yeah, the single joints sux big time. I'm still glad to have ordered mine, but this should have been at least $50 cheaper with that body.
Dude, I went on to look at photos of Bo Katan and can't see a single one that has more than 90 degrees of articulation on elbows or knees. Photos of Fennec from the Sideshow Con don't show more than 90 degrees of articulation either. I hope that its just them being prototypes but for now, it does not look good!
Oh man, I hope that isn’t the case. That would be a step back for HT. Those are characters that are fighters and need the ability and advantage of the double bend articulation.
This figure was rushed to be released due to toy fair. I doubt it will be a constant issue
@@---ne9ez are you saying it had a shorter production run? I'm not so sure that's how it works. They just make them like they normally would any other figure but save it for toy fair

You have every reason to be upset about single jointed elbows from Hot Toys. They're better than that. Nonetheless, figure is beautiful and your poses were top notch. Family portrait was my favorite 😄
I haven't pre-ordered this cause my star wars shelf is gonna be Ahsoka dx and standard mando beskar s2, though this is nice.
Your reaction to single-joint elbows was classic -- it was like getting liver for dinner! It's unfortunate because the costume and paint applications are fantastic. By-the-way, the poses were expertly executed.
jedha you removed the fat suit on the durasteel mando in this vid at 17:38? if so, fully removed it or left some portions in?
Loved the video man! Loved the honesty. I cancelled the preorder when heard about the murkin and the single joints. Use my money on mysterio instead :)

I've been saying that for years about the packaging, Hot Toys constantly cheaps out on packaging for the prices they charge!
@@zenheat I agree, no interesting obscure figures released lately. Once they finish the Star Wars original line I'll probably stop collecting Hot Toys unless they release something interesting.
Plus it's a complete waste of plastic when they can do those foam inserts.
Very good review, thanks for pointing out the bs joints. What was with the mic, though? The volume drop sometimes was significant. Were you too pissed to get the mic game properly going? ;)
In the words of Krennic "we were on the verge of greatness, we were this close". Damn single joints, you cant excuse that for a collectible figure by hot toys. they messed up on this.
The true to life reactions in this review tell a story and it isn't a good one. Thanks for the thorough review, think I'm going to wait to pick up this one. If I can get it later with a discount and maybe free shipping that's cool, but with the limited mobility, I won't be heartbroken if I miss out.
I would agree with your comments. Given the increased competition in the sixth scale community, Hot Toys can’t go back. But I have this on order, I’m going to pose it, I am going to be happy. She is a must for a Mando collection.
I feel like this was a cool idea but not executed very well.
Why’s this shipping this September when preorders from last year aren’t shipping til next year?

Simple poses with alot of figures are better than hugely dynamic in alot of cases. This is one of those figures.
Awesome review! The Armorer is a great figure, but It looks kind of cheap for something that costs close to $300 bucks. Still getting it though!

It sucks that it’s single jointed but for me personally I wasn’t going to get very dynamic with the figure anyway likely with just have her with either both forging tools she used on the troopers or in the pose where she was welding on the mudhorn onto mando with the season one mando figure. This figure was likely a bit rushed but for me personally those joints aren’t a deal breaker for me. So long as this is a one off sort of deal to just get a basic figure out quickly. Now if somebody like bo or the death watch mando, or either new versions of boba come out with single jointed we will have a big problem.
I instantly PO'd her when she was announced from TW and she'll be here later today. I'm pretty disappointed about the single bend elbows and knees, but this is a character I've been wanting since Season One and has been #1 on my wish list and even knowing about these big shortcomings I'm still very happy to have her in my collection.

I love the main paint job so much on the figure but.. personally don't care for the paint job on the tools, nor the joints limitations on the body. So in between on this baby but appreciate this video so much!

There are only 2 character I want from the series: Heavy Mando & this. I have zero interest inany of the 7 mandos versions himself
White Vision should have been a Toyfair exclusive with this being the option of a Deluxe so you could get the forge too. It is naked without it

I would have preferred she came with the forge,otherwise I like what I see. Love the ancient look of her armor and outfit.

You were definitely a lot saltier than Justin was when you found out she had single-jointed elbows. This figure looks fantastic though! I would've used the Grogu head from the Speeder Bike set, with him smiling widely at The Armorer's victory.
it's clear they slapped this together for quick sales definitely not up to HT standard imo...disappointing
So you're dissapointed about the single jointed elbows and knees. Ok..that's what your viewers thought when HT annonced the expected Bo Katan and they showed that Bro Katan prototype sculpt. Exactly what you said here thats what we said back then..and you defended them on your video that collectors should be happy they included a headsculpt at all. So....what to think?
Single-jointed elbows and a realistic looking headsculpt are two very different things. Your point makes no sense, because those two things aren’t even comparable.

The fur doesn't look accurate at all, it's not long strands of hair. The way they did it makes it look like human hair coming out from under the helmet.
As Rich Evans says to Mike when Mike goes off on Star Trek rants "It's fine". 😆 Unless she comes back in season three as a martial arts expert I'm not expecting her to have super articulation.
I can only assume the reasons for the single joint arms and screws in the feet were due to either the pandemic, cost cutting or speed to get them produced before the con or any combination of them.
I wouldn't have minded waiting till next year for one that was done right.
I came to the 1/6 scene after being a 1/12 scale collector and I love posing figures (that’s why they have joints!) and to see single joints on this is bollocks.
I opened up my deluxe mando last night and the limited articulation on the shoulder joints (trying to get his arms pointing straight forward for the whistling birds and flame thrower effect) was a big disappointment. I’ll probably mod the fat suit to see what if I can make it better.
I think hot toys needs to pay a bit more attention to the articulation. It’s not all about the looks!
I’d love to see a body swap video when you change the body for the Armourer though.
I think it's unexcusable by today's standard for the prices that they stick you with a single joint body. You shouldn't have to do body swaps for more money. Or at least put it in the description so customers know ahead of time
A 300+ dollars figure should have diecast, LED, diorama base regardless exclusive or not. Instead we got a cheap generic body. What a rip-off
Beautiful figure but they rushed it out. Which is a shame for how much we pay for them, that being said I’m not canceling my pre-order lol
Cigar bands on the box are awful. Get rid of them
HT totally cheap out on the body of this figure and the bottom boot is no excuse. Looked like a Hasbro toy just instead of 1/12 to 1/6....
People excusing these single joints seem to be forgetting The Armorer's most badass scene where she hammers down a posse of Stormtroopers. You can hardly pull off those dynamic poses from that scene with this cheaply made body. No excuse Hot Toys. Collectors see right through this. Do better next time
$300 figure. No excuse for single joints and screws in the bottom of the feet. Just terrible

Whaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaa, such whining over a obviously beautiful figure. Even with double joints, alot of Hot toys have someting that alot often times prohibits pose in favor of accuracy, I mean look at heavy mando and tell me theres much bend on that figure, but its one of the best ever. Same with OG Mando.

I think the problem with those single joints is that we all know Hot Toys easily could have given us a better body. I'm suprised that they still have those! 🙂 For me it's no reason not to buy her cause, yes, it's a beautifull figure but it is a strange decision they made there. As Ryan said, they probably had to use whats there to be able to release her in time.
@@JedhaPatrol I guess better luck next round, no doubt we will eventually see her face in the series before the end of the series, and another figure design of her. She never was too dynamic in motion so far, aside from the trooper fight scene. I understand your view on it, and it would be cool if they ratchet every joint with double bends. I think this was a quick draw on Hot Toys part, but I'll be willing to bet this figure will be a highly reguarded item when the stock goes.
@@bradhall4627 I too think that she's gonna re-appiear again. For my part, i just love the Mandalorian Armor Design since I first saw Boba Fett in ESB and this one is outstanding! I agree and hope some of those who are on the fence about buying her (because of the joints) realize that before she's gone and the prices go up and up.
