This is seriously one of the best lessons on CZcams. This is an information GoldMine.
This guy could make millions with a video series. I have learned more from his few videos for GW than in any lesson session I have ever taken. He's an outstanding teacher!!!

@schcully Right on!! Glad you could make it. Always a pleasure to sit in with the Squad!
😢 thanks for the heads up
Beautiful
that sounds great!
very good thanks
C sharp minor, the way used here would be equivalent to C sharp Mixolydian (G as base) ?
whats the c#minor shape he plays at 3:59? is it 9xx99x? whats on the a or d-string?
@goldtop1122 I completely agree, what a fantastic lesson. I am a young guitar teacher and this is a bloomin sweet lesson! 1million stars!
Sweet Lesson!! Where do you get backing tracks like that or sothing a little harder?
Jeff, Super class, I am impressed, play me chord tone with a backing track. Looking forward to it
Great lesson.
Is the backing track available?
Triads with added note.
@g1asseye I was just improving but i can give you some insight to whats going on... Most of what im playing is minor pentatonic but i do like to use a minor triad from the 5th of a minor chord over top of the 1 chord. In this case G#m(G#,B,D#) over the C#m. Gives you a C#m9 sound. Try that, if you like it try reorganizing the notes so the G#m triad doesnt sound obvious. Hope that helps :-) Jeff
nice!
You are playing a Fender, Awesome
Exactly; music is for listening. Watching is fun too, but if it annoys someone, they should just focus on the ears.
i only use my pinky when i am doing fast shred stuff
i hardly ever use it with blue, jazz
@walrussalad He DOES use his pinky.
thats my teacher!
best gutiarworld lesson ever!
the next step, apply it to metal!!!!
\m/
Same here.
Huh, at the beginning of the actual lesson part when he played slow, it sounded a little bit like "Goodbye Porkpie Hat". Great lesson, i'll be sure to use this.
Backing track anyone?
I heard that. It's the same three beginning notes.
Who's that?
Isn't he in the offspring
bam. 1:00. There he used his pinky. Jeff, I'll see you tomorrow in RSW.
Love Nate
@walrussalad Just close your eyes and listen to the music :)
@walrussalad oh man i was just about to say that!
@walrussalad He actually does a bit. 0:13 - 0:16
@walrussalad now you said it ...
JUDAS ENGINE!!!!!!!!!!!
its so funny how every guitar tutorial starts the same ha. a guy playing a bad ass solo
Despite his name, he doesn't use a marshall
he also explains too well.
@goldtop1122 I completely agree, what a fantastic lesson. I am a young guitar teacher and this is a bloomin sweet lesson! 1million stars!
