After two shows organized in New York and Los Angeles, Ralph Lauren chose a lookbook show and showroom for his new Fall Winter 2023-2024 collection.
This collection is another great winter style story that shows the designer's ability to create cozy atmospheres and unexpected combinations.
Ralph Lauren presented both classic silhouettes and unconventional combinations.

Non sense everything he does is a copy of some other's designers.. from Brooks Bros to Armani , and other designers you've never heard of. He barrowed a Field and Stream jacket of mine that was my fathers from the fifties. when I got is back it had been completely taken apart , this was on a fashion shoot years ago. He was a brilliant merchant who knows what to copy, not designer. He copied Dior, Chanel, Hermes, Lanvin, Balmain Hermes. Most of his cocktail dresses where copied from Gloria Vanderbilt's
collection of these designers when he bought every dress in the collection Anderson Cooper sold after her death in 2019... I helped pick them up at her house on Beekman Place, upper east side East over looking the river. The ones he didn't buy went to auction.

Loved these stunning outfits! Loving the light grey and gunmetal/pewter contrasts. Beautiful! Having lighter colors such as the stone and light grey helps to get through the dreary season. Would love to see more purple and green or even neon colors for fall/winrer.

Been watching all the new runway looks, and while I loved many of RL's pieces here, I wasn't bowled over as I was by Armani, Balmain and Versace, all of whom enlivened their looks with outrageously gorgeous colors that felt so NEW! And shapes! And textures. Also, while I wouldn't kick those fringe jackets out of bed, I have to say that wearing too much fringe would always make me feel like I was trailing something behind me. And some of the gold/light brown leather did not seem particularly exciting.. But there were some works that were stunning, for sure. Just not one of my fave shows this season. PS. The greys in the collection were genius! Want every one, including that yummy pinstripe suit and that waterfall, shiny silver skirt.

Over the last 5+ years, the collections have become extremely simple and neutral - as if they don't have the time to put any creativity and details into the collections. And a lot of it is starting to look the same. RL has done gray suits consistently for a few years. Also, RL is avoiding the reliance on themes that they were known for such as naval themes, English country themes, equestrian themes, international themes, etc. For many years, the collections were very theme-driven, but not so much now, which is a shame because RL's reinterpretation of certain themes was so amazing. His use of Native American themes have been reduced to spare elements of only a few large belt buckles and a few items with fringe. It seems there might be a change going on within the company because usually, RL's collections are very lush and detailed with recognizable themes, but the recent collections have been very spare - almost to the point of being Calvin Klein minimalist. This collection is decent, but it doesn't feel like the RL that we know and love.

These collections are simply “safe, they’re boring and unimaginative, in my opinion. The originals created by Lauren are my favorite fashions with the exception of Boue Soeurs from the 20’s…

Well-done video, descriptions and narrations. The masculine suit jackets and most of the black leather jackets, except the one with the shearling collar, look like men's clothing. The huge belt buckle belts, inappropriate with evening gowns, look like tacky advertisements.The cable sweater with long skirt, western tan fringed jackets, and lavender gown look very pretty. Ralph Lauren't recent collections veer to the very masculine and I don't like that look on women.
