What if you want to do a different body like the long tail and the other parts show up pink? Does that matter or would updating just the body still be fine?

I love protogens I was Not expecting it to turn out that way when I made itI somehow I hit smear by accident and I don't know what I did cuz I was using a really crappy computer when I recorded it

I know its been over a year but is there a way to take specific colors on an avatar's model and change them. Like if I wanted to change the white on the part of the texture in the top right(of the 2d texture) to red without accidentally messing with the black.
I recommend paint.net or gimp for that

um did you same the image you dont need the modal
@@playerfrankie18 I saved the entire blender file because I wanted to take a break and resume where I left off. Said it saved the images in the blender file but it didn't.

Most likely the project does not have a fbx that would mean it could be under a different file format or it's just a scene without the avatar it depends on what Avatar model you're working with
PS I now know what you meant you have to either drag the fbx into the scene or into unity if it's a unity package you go open scene or drag it into unity itself it's like you do a photo

i honestly dont get it cause i have installed everything and installed the zip file but nothing shows up
For whatever reason the fbx files aren't showing up when I try to import from the cats menu. I have the sdk2, and the right version of unity idk what is up

Most likely the model you're using does not have a material then after that I can't really help you there I just know if the triangle is there that means there's a material there that you can edit

No fdx extension files on my model. I have a blend file extension. Had to review several times; searched all assets in Unity and using file explorer.

this any modal works depending on what avatar it is but if ya want it thats different
Every time I try and import the cat blender plug-in it gives me an error I don’t know how to fix it ):
for newer version of blender like 4.0 dont work very well the cats plugin only really works good with 3.0 to 3.6 of blender because of it not being updated you dont really need the plugin go to file on top of the top left of your screen in blender then hit file then import then there should be a fbx format you can select what modal please make shore you delete the stuff in scene first tho i will be making a video soon thats exspains everything i did this video like 3 years ago and its still a bit out of date i did not even have a gpu i was making this video on hp all in one lol

Hey, it appears like I am unable to edit the textures, despite rebooting blender and moving through the process again. I am able to use the fill bucket on the textures, but not the paint tool.
Did you try clicking on model with object mode then turning it back to texture mode
@@playerfrankie18 yes, it didn’t appear to fix the problem, but instead it just allowed me to use the paint bucket
It could possibly be due to something about the png file I am using as a texture background. Like it’s obscuring my ability to edit the UV map

@@KingRevvi I did manage to fix some things, however it only applied to certain parts of the model. I moved to substance painter to avoid the hassle, just sucks how expensive it is. Good thing there is a free trial.

You can use any images you want or get it from your project it self this is a old video so please forgive the error in that part check my simple start or wait until bring the new video on this subject

Yes and no there's a lot of free ones and there's a lot of paid ones you can find them mostly on VRC Arena AKA also Gum Road or VRC mods for recommended VRC Arena or Gum Road
