A beautiful black man with a beautiful spirit
This was a beautiful interview
Michael K Williams was such a profound actor. May his soul find rest as he travels to the land of the Ancestors. We say his name Michael K . Williams. You will never be forgotten. Thank you so much for your bravery .
AMEN! NEVER will be forgotten! This day has been 💔💔💔'ing for soo many of us.
Well Said and ty
Amen 🙏🏼
We can't heal, what we dont reveal 🙏👌👌
💯👍🏾
His pride in his beautiful skin is everything!
Michael K. Williams spews integrity. Amazing human being!
💯
U cnt believe everything u hear now he might have had an addiction at one time but this man didnt die because of drugs, this man was doing good and looking good, thts what they want u to believe tht he passed away from drugs but i dnt believe tht, they say everybody either died from drugs or cancer, i dnt believe none of it, i pray tht he has given his life to Christ and accept him as his Lord and savior, rest in peace my brother.....
Love your comment!
Only 4 minutes into this interview and I had to stop and just say I have soo much respect for this man!
I agree he is so humble, he's been through alot .
I can't believe he is gone now.
@@MissKizzy75 it's too sad, he had a glow about him.
"This what 53yrs look like" 😘😘😘 looking good, speaking life into your people, may your talent take you beyond success.
Yesss, he is my type black ugly sexy and smart. I dont know why that's just how I like it
I was just watching central park 5 & saying this to my man. I was like i been seeimg him on TV for years and you cant tell of he's 28 or 58 😂
He turns me on too
@@rayshipooki I will have to say I respect and feel ur honesty....u r on,point...
Donique Whonder lmaoooo your comment took me out 😭😭😭 I like my men a little ugly too
Rest with the angels Michael K. Williams you will be remembered as one of the greats, gone to soon 😢🙏🏽
Fantastic actor and great dancer. May he rest in peace. Favorite The Wire. Omar was the bomb.!!!!!
I’m going to pretend that Mr. Williams is still walking among us. Some souls are unforgettable…💖
So sad to hear of his death. True talent indeed. I'm sure that things he went thru in childhood may have created a platform for his addiction. Addiction is truly a sickness. For this man to openly speak on how he was molested as a child, hold no animosity towards his perpetrator, and feel that community shaming needs to stop speaks volumes toward his character.
I respect dude so much & he’s one of my fav actors..Very talented dude..But then again u gota be a special type of dude to pull of the role of OMAR that well💯
I loved him as Chalky.
Yes, this brother is a very talented actor.
Kamaal GunSmoke FACTS!!!! LOVE OMAR LITTLE.
Heather asked one of the most important question - "what are we supposed to do with that anger" I think we all struggle with that.
I never knew his name smh. I love how these black men are talking about love, relationships, mental health and growth. I love these conversations! Thank you Black Kings. 😊
Absolutely... we need more of this as black men
91WriterzStatus 👌🏽
AMEN!!!!
Amen sister!
Oh he would have been so great at having a talk show..💔😢😞 may his soul rest 🌸🌸🏵️🌻🌻
Our men need healing as well...😫😩😢💞
Yes,lack of healing and love is the main reason we struggle within our relationship with each other.
If only you knew...
"Yo bey you come at the king you best not miss"
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Every single time i ever seen Michael he has been positive. I would never imagine he would have died the way he did
You never know what people are struggling with behind closed doors…even celebrities!
How did he die?
@@karonhamilton7314 drug overdose
I was just watching black market before I learned of his passing. What a great loss. My condolences to his family.
Rest in power.
I'm really sad he passed away , an emotion I don't experience often (if any) when a person dies I personally did not know. What an impressive man. Rest in Peace!
Loved him in The Wire.
Listen to his words. This man is very wise.
Playing a gay role EARLY
Please go to VUDU.com and purchase the seasons of Boardwalk Empire. It will make GOT seem like childish cartoon gibberish. Michael K. Williams is excellent in that role of Prohibition era African American Bootlegger, Chalkie.
A phenomenal interview. Williams is a top rated actor, and I like how he is immensely socially, emotionally and culturally cognizant.
Rip
Seacret works well for exfoliating! Rip Michael K Williams you were truly gifted.
Hands Down one of the greatest actors of all times..
If you saw this man on the street the first thing that most likely pop in your head was, this dude is a dangerous dude. But that could not have been further from the truth. It only takes a second to see the quality of a human being he was. Such a loving and down to Earth individual. He will surely be missed. Rest in Peace Michael.
Had the pleasure of meeting Mike at Steiner Studios when he acted in Brooklyn's Finest and also in Boardwalk Empire. He's a very humble dude.
That's why it's so important to teach our kids to read. Read everything. Read everyday. I taught my kids to read and I didn't wait for this crummy school system. They were reading before they got to school. So they not only knew how to read but to communicate as well.
Korey has a disability
I love this dudes energy...he's definitely top five best actors in my opinion
I mean HANDS DOWN. It's Denzel. Don Cheadle, Samuel L. Jackson, Deniro and MKW for me. honorable mention=Pacino
MIchael K Williams will be missed, may he transition in peace. Just listening to him tell a story and watching him light up and smile....man it was nice to see! I also agree with what he said and I do hope that more ppl do take heed and get help for their pain/traumas/ and sicknesses before they hurt anyone or another innocent child, teen (or adult in other cases)
As a black man I respect this interview so much
Landon M. What about just as a man?
Rest in eternal paradise Michael. You made your mark in this world and are such an amazing soul 💙
RIP to such a great, gifted, and talented actor. Peace and comfort to the family.
Michael K. Williams you are a beautiful human being and you will never be forgotten. You meant so much to so many.🙋🏾♀️💜💔
Ollld skool playa.. No shirt under the joggin suit🤣
15:00 Heather B. ask "What are we supposed to do with this Anger?" Please listen to the answer given... #Transparency
Thank you for posting this. I originally only listened to the first five minutes. Beautiful mind, beautiful spirit. Oh man.
Wow
Michael K. Williams. As a young preteen, I too have been robbed of my childhood innocence as well; I had to make the decision to forgive my abuser, and helped with his medical bills as he was dying; it was the grace of God, and he was my stepfather, still married to my mother. He has died, however there are days when I get depressed thinking of the anxiety and panic I suffer because of this, and how molestation he did, soiled my relationship with my mother who was in denial for decades until after he died.. As a sidebar, Michael You were incredible on "Boardwalk Empire".... No show has come close to the performances you, Buscemi and that cast did on that groundbreaking show.
I find your story astonishing. How you had it in you to do that for him? And not want to kill your mother for not having it. Fair play to you. God bless you mate.
God bless you🙏🙏🙏
Met him in person..... Great guy.... Humble, beautiful soul.... Very real
I'm so happy he's using his platform to speak on a subject that's been swept under the rug for decades
He will be missed.
Gone too soon.
RIP.....😥
RIP my brother. September 2021.. My condolences to your family , loved ones and true fans.. Many Blessings to you all.
He diffuses all gossip or slander with facts, and love. The way he redirects professional interviewers and takes control of the narrative is powerful. Rip King, you will be forever admired and missed.
Michael Rest In Peace, so sad, dealing with the Demons of the past sometimes can be challenging , even though we take it one day at a time, everyday is not the same 😢🙏🏾💕💕
So sad right now 😢 Rip Michael K. Williams We lost another good one 🥺
The system is not a good place for most of us. I Did not commit a crime however i was told that i did. I was told to say i was guilty and if i decided to take it to trial i would be charged as guilty. I said " no" i will ride this out because i didn't do anything. I had a public defender because i cannot afford an attorney. The public defender fought for me and here i am " as they see us" the first rule to any household should be " learning the laws and getting to know the people who run your city.
He's a brave dude; I've heard him speak about his struggles and it was so inspiring. Thanks for putting it all out there, Michael.
This interview is awesome.
RIP Michael K. Williams. Gone way too soon 🥺
Great performance, Michael in When They See Us!!! 💫🎉
Michael K. Williams was such a beautiful man. I am so sad he is not here anymore. I have to go and find all of his work and binge it. I am praying for his family!!
Hands down Michael K. Williams is one of my favorite actors
Michael's honesty is so sexy. His Breakfast Club interview was amazing.
Yes.. very sexy... Just a beautiful man. May he rest in perfect peace. 🤍🕊✨✨
Such a beautiful soul. I haven’t been this affected by a famous persons death for a long time, it’s really hard to accept, he was truly a blessing and his work will live on. I hope a film will be made about his life 🤍🤍🙏🏾🕊
Michael melanin poppin!😍
He was my favorite character on The Wire
Yet he was gay🤮🤢🤦🏾♀️
@@dee27206 Aw man. How disappointing to see your comment.
Heartbroken... truly heartbroken to know you left so soon with so much goin on for you....
Thank you for inspiring us all✨💛✨
A true legend!
This entire interview was a class study in what Black excellence looks like. Well articulated, brilliant execution and very informative. Kudos to ALL involved.
Stop leaving your kids alone with grandparents, uncles, older cousins, etc. 80% of perps are family and family friends. Stop being trusting and worrying about hurting people's feelings.
Your kids come first.
Not all parents will protect their children though. Some are their worst enemies. Not all parents are meant to be mothers and fathers.
Not all parents (esp single parents) have the means to leave their kids with someone trustworthy so they take whose available unfortunately. I am 1 out of 6 kids and it happened to me when I was younger but I definitely didn't blame my mother for it. But I do agree that we should be more careful today.
Kodak Crack not all people come from families where they deal with pedophilia. I say you have to be smart about who you leave your kids with. Pay attention to red flags, etc
Best believe that!!! I've got 3 kids I and swear I have never left my kids with anyone ever!!! Don't trust no one.
@@tiduzffx I'm sorry that happened to you. 💔
The disconnect is real out here
I love Michael K's take on helping people heal whether than shaming them...
I'm really sad that he is gone. He was extremely positive and rare.
Sway, I wish I could hug Korey too. He was just being a genuine friend.....his name wasn’t even on the list...
Michael K Williams is just unapologetically dope. I would love to have a strong neat drink with him.
But not with Cosby😒
On the day that he died, I wish he would've remembered Korey Wise and his story and the warrior he is. I wish he would've remembered this interview. I wish he would've remembered his rich melanin skin that he exfoliated regularly. I wish he would've remembered the gift he is to the world. I wish I knew he was Bahamian because I know for sure we would've been friends because I'm Bahamian and when we meet another, we hold on to each other tightly. There's so much I wish for him on that tragic day. Lord have mercy! Prayers for his 93-year-old mother and his son Elijah! Help us Lord!
A man talking about exfoliating, taking care of himself, and how healthy he looks at his age does not sound like someone that would be overdoing. I just can’t believe it
It’s usually during the times when you’re alone that your mind or unhealthy extra-curricular activities will destroy you if you’re are not a mentally strong person or are surrounded by love! Same thing happened to Shock G and DMX 🤷🏽♀️!!
Such a powerful Actor and Man. He will be truly missed ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing interview!! Two intelligent, deep, compassionate men discussing real issues 👌
"I am healing; you are healing; my people are healing; the world is healing. "❤️🤗💫 I follow this Brotha also and never knew his name: MICHEAL K WILLIAMS!
Rest In Power Brother.
mike is so humble i loooooove him
Skin is the LARGEST LIVING ORGAN on the body ❤
Rest in paradise king 🤴🏾🙏🏾💔
Loved him in Boardwalk Empire
I just commented on his excellent portrayal of Chalkie on Boardwalk Empire. I wish the series had not ended.
Yesssss! Chalky white!
When does he come in? Because I couldn`t get through the first two episodes. Too boring to me and I usually like period pieces.
Chualky
Miss you like I knew you personally. RIP 🙏
Great interview with Michael K Williams. Rest in peace Michael you were a force to be reckoned with a great actor. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten. You left us way too soon. There will never be another like you. Such a multi faceted talent on all levels.
His skin was beautiful and I could tell he took care of it. Beautiful inside and out! RIP
I love that Black King!

I’ve seen Michael K. Williams in person and yes he does that good in real life.
#Legalnise!!
We need to create a legal team to make sure our lawyer and public defenders.... are giving us proper repensentation in the system
That's what the NAACP legal defense fund is for. We need to support.
Rest in peace king...
You will be missed!🙏

Korey wasn't even in the park that day! Damn!🤬🤬🤬🤬
Imma go binge watch the wire again lol

We have lost so much. He had so much more to contribute to acting and beyond. RIP
53 was looking amazing & 55 was probably just as fabulous! I miss this beautiful soul
RIP to one of the greats 💔 I'm watching some of his interviews now and seeing how he was such a good man.
Binging all of his interviews. Missing him already. Rest in power king ❣
Michael is so amazing. He speaks such truth and is so down to earth. Much love! 👏👏👏👏
Central Park 5 situation is just letting you know anybody can accuse you dead or alive
of a crime that you had no knowledge of nor never committed Lack of patience and research
Long before that it was Jim Crow, Reconstruction, Slavery Codes. Black people didn`t just start experiencing this treatment with the Central Park 5. This is just one that`s been gaining attention. If every black person including myself had a documentary. It wouldn`t be enough time in a lifetime to watch all of them.
@@561REALTLK very true
Michael K Williams is amazing as an actor..luv him...
He's great in everything...found myself watching Hap & Leonard just for dudes skills
Michael K has such a beautiful sprit . Can’t believe he not here but it’s a blessing his work lives on.
I love Michael K. Williams’ energy!
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This King was sooo great….so pleased to have experienced him through his art.
That was a good point...Hurt ppl hurt ppl. Most victims become predators so the more you shame them, the more they climb back into the hole of despair. To be fair, those kids were young, so even if they know their rights, those cops prolly forced them into confessing.I was almost convicted for a robbery in Brooklyn that I didn't do.I knew my rights but they still held me until my grandmother came and got me.Knowing our rights is a step but it's still not enough because they don't even respect our rights.
Kings County Baby most victims do not become predators. It does happen, but it’s not even close to the majority. My uncle victimized both my brothers, myself, and several other young teens that I know of. Karma took care of him. Not sure where you got your misinformation, but spreading something like that will surely deter victims from coming forward.
@@protipswithjason5939 there are alot more than you think..
There are a lot more victims than you think. The vast majority of male victims never speak out. My family treated me like I’d done something wrong for being molested. They knew, but I never said a word. That was 20 years ago, and I still don’t spend time with any of them because of how they treated me. My story is all too common. I feel ashamed, even though I shouldn’t. That one man molested, that I know of, 7 boys under the age of 14. Who knows how many I don’t know about. If the majority of his victims, 4, became predators, and each victimized 5 boys, how long before we are literally surrounded by predators using your logic?
Tattooed Gamer I’m starting to realize there are more male victims than we know. You’re right in saying they just don’t talk about it out of shame. Im amazed and disgusted finding out all the men I know that were molested as boys. I’m sorry you went through that.
@@protipswithjason5939 I am just saying hurt ppl hurt ppl..We could agree to disagree
Man!! This interview made me smile sooooo much, so big and so deeply for the beautiful human being that he was. I can totally understand why so many people are hurting at his untimely loss. May God bless, strengthen and comfort his family.
Here for Michael K
I wasn’t ready for the ab reveal 😳, but, dammmmmn! #rewind
Rest in power 🙏🏾
Why is it almost 4am and i’m well into a Michael K Williams-youtube-interview-binge-hole right now? Oh, that’s right, ‘cause he’s incredibly charming and wise and just awesome to listen to :)
Fam, PLEASE go watch a movie called Survivor's Guide to Prison! He is so right...those officers do not see us as a community. They don't even see us as human beings. That is why they do such a sloppy job with cases like this one.
EVEN the Black ones.
Great interview and interviewee.
