    Recently sold my AUDI TT and got an Audi S5. Really miss the TT. Had it for 4 years and it never broke down once.

      Clutch, flywheel all broke down at 28000 km. Hungarian built means quality problems.

    Here's something that none of you TT owners might not know.
    The armrest for the passenger behind the passenger seat (left hand drive model), there's a secret compartment that's as deep as your hand, only on that side. I don't know if it's switched for right hand drive, but it's there for ya.
    Big enough to put your manual or drugs in.

      Yes, it is right back side, below the small window. I keep manual and service book there.

    Hello there buddy I'm having the symptoms of the idle on cold starts to idle just above a 1000rpm as in the video but the pin slowly climbs down as the car runs it recently started to happen is there any harm in this or is it a bad idle control??

    • @sunkazz
      @sunkazz  Před 5 lety

      This is normal for a cold start. If the RPM is unstable (jumps around) when the engine is warm, then you have an issue, see this video: czcams.com/video/7wJ827EO0VM/video.html

  • @saetron
    @saetron Před 5 lety +1

    Hey pal, does your TT burn oil? I heard that MK2 can burn oil and AUDI says it's normal

    • @sunkazz
      @sunkazz  Před 5 lety +1

      Hello. Yes, it does spend around 1 liter per 15.000 km. This is normal, it is design in this way to extend engines lifetime -> lubricate rings and piston walls -> some oil escapes and burns. However, if you loose a lot more oil than 1 L per a service interval, then you might have some issues (bad rings, gaskets, turbo, a leak, etc.). Hope this helps. Best!

    • @bafattvahetere
      @bafattvahetere Před 5 lety

      It depends on the way you drive your car? But if you ask Audi they probably says it's normal. Nothing is negative, just normal!

    • @Andy-hi9do
      @Andy-hi9do Před 5 lety

      I have the 3.2 VR6 TT. And I do the oil every 5k Miles. I dont notice any used up oil.... the reason I do mine so much is bc the timing chain has a reputation of failing. So frequent oil changes help preserve it.

    • @dennis-br6vr
      @dennis-br6vr Před 4 lety

      all 2.0 tfsi engines like to use some oil. you just have to drive it very hsrd sometimes hahaha, it cleans the engine

    Hey Dr!
    As you know, I have 2007 Mk2 with factory coilovers, and I regret it! It is too, too firm for my city. When it is useful, I am driving too fast!
    Do you have experience of air ride suspension?

    • @sunkazz
      @sunkazz  Před 5 lety +3

      Hi, it will not get much better with other suspension. The highest impact on the ride have wheels and tires. What size tires you have? Consider smaller rim sizes and tires with bigger height. Driving 225/55 R16 instead of 245/40 R18 will make a huge difference, because you will have ~3 cm more rubber which absorbs vibrations. But anyway, TT is a sports car, hard suspension makes it more stable on the road and faster around the corners.
