  • Hi guys and girls,
I had the chance to do an in-depth interview with Keith Johnson, product-manager for
ALLEN & HEATHs SQ, QU and ZED line of mixers. We talk about the brand, the products, future developments. He also gives insight into his personal live, his job at ALLEN&HEATH and lots more. Have fun and be prepared for a little bit nonsense!
    CheersAndré

SQ-Pac would be an instant yes.

YES. We would buy a SQ-Pac/SQ-SB tomorrow. Qu is too limited and we don't have space for SQ5 desks.

I really want a SQ-SB or SQ-PAC. Already own the QU-SB and it is perfect for my smaller shows, but I need more routing options and I want to run Waves sometimes in an easier more portable form factor.

OMG Thanks for including my question Andre! That was a nice surprise, although Keith was intriguingly evasive. I'm taking that as a positive! He could have always said a flat NO!

When I was very young I can remember recording the radio. Voices. And now I’m too a sound engineer. Love this interview it’s better than the TV. Well done.

If A&H released a proper rackmount mixer I'd never have dealt with Behringer and the X32 nonsense. I'd gladly get rid of it, theres a lot of shows now where the only acceptable thing is to just have a rack on stage and a tablet, bringing something like a full SQ5 is a liability on those gigs so the easily hideable X32 is what I use there.
