there are different ways to apply control over your Channels: DCAs (Digitally Controlled Amplifier), Gangs und Groups. In this video we talk about DCAs: What it is, how to assign and what to do with it, including some tips and tricks. Hope you like it.
PS: my first video trying out Da Vinci Resolve. What a great piece of (free) software!

You can control groups via dca also. I have this in my scene, kick and snare (top +bottom) are in group, kick group + snare group + toms + overheads are in DCA.

You are absolutely right. I just checked if I forgot to write it into the list at 2:13, but it´s there! And now imagine Allen&Heath would give us the option to route groups into groups, now that would be awesome!

@@AndreSchaier they won't ever allow groups to mix into groups because there will then be non-deterministic latency (depending on how many iterations through the groups) which could lead to comb filtering.
dLive can do this; I guess they expect the operator to not stuff things up.
Du bist ein verrückter Typ 😄 nicht ganz so mein Style wie du es machst, hab auch echt lang überlegt ob ich abonnieren soll aber dein Content ist Crazy hilfreich 😄 aber jeder darf ja sein wie er mag, solang die Qualität stimmt, weiter so 👌🏼 Dein Englisch ist manchmal nicht ganz so gut zu verstehen aber deine Videos haben mir immer total viel gebracht. Passen auch voll in meine Entwicklung im Umgang mit dem SQ 😄 ist manchmal ganz Lustig, da stell ich mir die Frage: hmm was sind DCAs und wie kann ich die nutzen? Und dann kommt ein Video vom André 😄 gutes Timing hast auf jeden Fall 🙏🏼

Mal noch ne andere Frage: und fehlen am SQ Mischer 1-2 MixBusse für Wireless IEM. Outputs über die stagebox sind noch genügend frei aber deswegen gleich ne neue Konsole kaufen? Hast ne Idee wie man das relativ unkompliziert in den Griff bekommt?

danke erst einmal für das Abonnieren! Ich weiß das sehr zu schätzen.
Zu Deiner Frage: wieviele IEMs benutz Ihr? Du könnest (wenn Du nicht über Groups mixt) 12 mal Stereo oder eben 24 Mono IEMs machen. Braucht ihr mehr? Man kann natürlich unkomplizierter aber teurer Weise ein ME-1 oder ME-500 kaufen...Dann erhälst Du echte extra Monitorwege, die nicht von den 12 Bussen abgezogen werden.
Ich hoffe, dass Hilft ein wenig...

Hi Andre,
Erstmal danke für die schnelle Rückmeldung. Wir nutzen aktuell 8 IEMs und brauchen eigentlich 10. der Drummer und Bassist sowie die beiden Gitarristen teilen sich einen Ausgang.
Wir haben bisschen das Problem, dass wir zusätzlich zu FOH auch noch andere Räume beschallen müssen (Foyer, Broadcast kriegt nen Mix usw.) Dazu gibts optional noch Monitorboxen die einen Ausgang bekommen weil die immer mal wieder gebraucht werden.
Unsere Matrix Sends sind auch schon alle soweit in Gebrauch.
Die ME-1 ist aktuell die Überlegung, kostet aber wie du selbst sagt natürlich ein wenig. Ich dachte evtl hab ich was übersehen. Aber lieben Dank trotzdem 🙏🏼
@@arturs.2994 Wäre euch evtl mit einem Kopfhörer Verteiler geholfen? Ihr bekommt zwar nicht mehr Auxwege, aber man kann mehr Kopfhörer anschließen ( z.B.: www.thomann.de/de/mackie_hm_400.htm)
Wenn eure IEMs Ausgänge haben, dann könnte man von denen aus auch die optionalen Monitorboxen anfeuern...

Hi, may I ask if the DCAs affect only the level to Main LR, but not the others Mix?

only the level to the mainLR. Not the sends to Auxes or FX.
Hope that helps!
If you turn down the DCA, all your post fader sends will be affected. FX Mixes or Post-Aux mixes, or post matrices.
