The Zeke and Gwen friendship wasn’t something I thought I needed, but it was really sweet. The vibe in the same way Team E-Scope vibes
This is gonna be a really good series if you decide to make an Action What If with Sierra and Alejandro. It has all the essential characters that can be developed more, and gives characters like Gwen and Trent more time to interact. Great video all around though!
Courtney is naturally bossy but Duncan certainly played a part in making her more aggressive and rule defying. It makes a lot more sense for her to go full beast mode like in Action if she was the first boot in Island tho.
Also I love the “it’s not gay if we wear socks” friendship between Owen, Tyler and DJ. It just makes so much sense
I feel like Ezekiel should have made it since he was with gwen the whole time he would've probably just followed her so he could keep hanging out with her not realizing that she was actually chasing the briefcase and would just fall into the water with her and trent. Plus narratively it fits since he is gwen's only real "friend" and would be a good way to develop the gwen and trent storyline.
gwen and ezekiel aren't like... how do i say this.... best friends? they're friends from this episode but this episode exclusively. they aren't super duper close and i don't see them sharing a braincell like lindsay and beth. also since they had the talk about trent where they both stayed silent afterwards i imagine they aren't really engaging with each other that much after that.
plus I just really don't see ezekiel being quick witted enough to realize whats happening, since he didn't have a fair chance in the original to go for the briefcase I obviously can't say with 100 percent certainty that he wouldn't but i do have a lot of scenes in mind where ezekiel isn't exactly a quick thinker so I just didn't really feel the most comfortable with giving a spot
@@TDWonderer that's a fair take on it. I kinda thought about it sorta as just a beard mentality where he would just see a lot of people going somewhere and just be like "okay guess we are doing this now" and follow everyone near by the cabins. Looking at it with your thoughts in mind it does make a fair bit of sense just to leave him out all things considered. Who knows maybe this semi-friendship with gwen could play a role in a possible world tour what if, but that's would be thinking way to far ahead for anyone to think of now especially when the part/parts about action aren't even out yet. All and all really looking forward to your take on this upcoming action what if👍👍
These videos are like comfy viewing to me, they're oddly soothing yet engaging. It's really easy to get lost in the 'What if?'

I’m so happy cody made the cast since he’s my favorite character in the show, and honestly I think that the cast that was decided was overall pretty good, but personally I would have given Leshawna a guarenteed spot since she was the winner/runner up of the season so it would make since for her to be in the next, and if I remember correctly, all the people from at least the top 9 of the original show made it to action. At the same time though I understand why you did the random wheel, and that was probably the way to determine who would make it when it came to the diving board. Honestly I liked this video a lot more then I thought, I even voted no in the poll asking for it, but yeah, good job! Can’t wait for the actual season!

I agree, but imagine Leshawna having a storyline similar to Courtney's but this time is more justified, and people do like her so I honestly think that gives a really good oportunity there
Honestly he shoulve have put leashwana instead of Courtney since Courtlney sued her way in to get in action but that leashwana isnt there now nobody can take Courtney spot
This was a fun experiment! And the cast for TDA in this AU is so different with some new faces thrown in that seeing a full season play out would be fascinating. You don't have to do it if you don't want to, but it would be fun.

That wheel couldn’t have gone better, pretty sure all of them have story potential based on the changes made during the what if. Also removes the Bridgette/Geoff and DJ story lines completely

I'm super excited for this next season if I had to pick a character I'm excited for the most weirdly it's Sadie she has a plot that can be explored with drifting away from Katie and gaining independence which I hope to see. Also now there are more people meaning less non eliminations. The last thing I want to point out is how chef's alliance will play out my guess is Al will get it as it makes the most sense l.
It would be really cool if you were able to rewrite Trent's OCD in season 2 in a way that works. Maybe that's how he is able to connect with Gwen
This was a really fun video! The Island special has always been one of my favorite episodes, having a good mix of character interactions and competition, as well as having new character dynamics like Harold/Heather and Ezekiel/Beth&Lindsay. Only thing I’d say is that I feel like if someone on the diving board made it into Action originally, they should here. That would end up with a gender imbalance with too many women not in Action, but then I’d say that’s where you should’ve used the wheel to determine if Geoff, Owen, or DJ didn’t make the cast. But outside of that one nitpick, really cool idea, and I’m excited for a potential season 2
yeah i guess that would've made more sense for following the original, I just had a lot of grips with following the original since there was no rhyme or reason to lot of things that happened
No, I get that totally. I remember the first time I watched that episode I literally leaned forward and stared at the screen when Cody and Tyler somehow fell out of the unbreakable knot.
I actually preffer what he did because at least we have a chance to see some characters who were less developed in original like katie and sadie and not the same storylines with the same characters
Yeah, to each their own, it just feels weird having one of the main characters/winners of participate in the next season

This actually was really interesting, mainly in how the changed circumstances affected the teams' dynamics all around. I do think Zeke should have made the cast, if only because he and Gwen are friend-ish and though he's oblivious, he has shown here to want to help Gwen and would likely chase after her solely to make sure she's okay.
That is just my reasoning though, and they can probably re-explore their friendship in the Aftermaths or in WT.
I never really noticed just how many people were kinda unfairly shafted from the cast via plot holes. Honestly, it was pretty cool to see, banger video as always.
I really liked this. Ezekiel getting a friend is always welcome, he deserved better. Also, I could see the diving board scene be like the FID debut reveal scene, where the four who didn't make the cast end up falling off the board, so there's that. All in all, I'm excited for TDA with the World Tour debuters, I really like these in-depth what ifs, and you're cool. Good day.

This is actually a good cast because off the people cut, only maybe Ezikiel would or could have major a character arc in Action (maybe proving he no longer wants to be sexiest) DJ had one, but still ended up quitting. Geoff and Bridgette get out first, and Beth did a little, but she didn’t do much. The others are probably completed, also when Bridgette, Geoff, DJ, and leshawna were on the diving board they were hugging each other right after Duncan was thrown off the moose. So it would make sense for them to be stuck together. But Five people fell off the diving board, not four. So an extra character might not have made the cast in this universe. (But let’s just say only four fell off in this universe)

I am super excited to see your Action "what-if"/series. I love that Katie and Sadie are gonna be in it and it didn't sound like they really patched things up ? So I hope to see them do so in the season. I like that some characters who I felt didn't really get a lot of development in the original series get more development in your series.

Sierra and Alejandro are two of my favorite characters of all time hense why world tour is my favorite season so seeing a storyline where there is more of them especially with their duo counterparts (ie Heather and Cody) makes me giddy and smile and i genuinely want this story canon rather then the main one lmao

Thank you so much for doing this! While the teams weren’t were I expected, but it was a pleasant surprise. The plots of Gwen and Ezekiel (did you get that idea from me, just curious), and Sadie being distant. Maybe without Leshawna, Heather and Harold would actually become friends!
If I had to pick a nitpick, I would let Zeke in the cast to explore him and Gwen’s friendship, but that could be done if you do World Tour, I hope you do! But anyways, great video, and I can’t wait for this version’s Action!

I don't know if you take requests but here's an idea for a video, "Tdpi if Sammy didn't trick people" which has Sammy not trick people that she's Amy during her elimination, whether she didn't do it or she failed (even if you happen to not make this I still think it's a good idea)

I absolutely love your videos, hearing all the different possibilities really makes you think about it. I was wondering if you've ever thought about what would happen if all the characters were eliminated in reverse? For example if Gwen or Owen was voted out first/second, heather 3rd etc. I'd love it if you could cover this

Pretty good video. I liked the cast you ended up choosing, especially the early boots getting in. If you make another one of these epilogs for a future Island what if (or What If Ezekiel wasn't sexist), the people who end up on that board above the green jelly, I would base it entirely on who has the most story potential which thankfully are the people that ended up making it. The only thing that sucks is Beth isn't in the season, since I like her, but since they're other's with more story potential, I'm fine with it (I'm also sad about Noah, but he didn't do anything in the What-if).

I think this was a really intresting vid! I just liked hearing what scenes from the original stayed the same, and which got changed, and who got on the cast. IDK I just like hearing about this alternate version of what could've happened, and hearing some of the build up for potential storylines in action!
This was still a fun ride even though as you said it was a bit superfluous. But thanks for doing it anyway! Makes it feel more complete.

I think given in this what-if that Leshawna didn't make the cast for TDA, that she would be able to get in mid-season like Courtney did by threatening a lawsuit. I don't think it's unrealistic for her character to demand that sort of justice and Chris wouldn't be too opposed to letting her on at that point because she is entertaining.
That could work but what would she use as a justification? She can’t say she was robbed of the money since she agreed to the challenge

I absolutely love your videos!!! Especially the way you write characters (Mostly Sadie Katie and justin) . But I would love to see Justin still kinda be an antagonist in action. I'm not sure if that would work (especially cuz Alejandro is there) or if Justin will end just end up how trent did. but again don't really know how that would work cuz Trent would still have the obsession with the number 9 . I also would love to see what you do with Courtney and Duncan considering they're not a couple yet!!!
Also I'm very interested that DJ didn't make the cut for action cuz now that leaves an alliance with chef to someone else

You know, your view on this part of the what if... actually kind of represents the original special. Funnily enough, the special doesn't really do anything for the entire time except for show us who's going to be part of the cast of the next season which... really doesn't feel necessary to know why? I don't know, I feel like the feeling here would be about the same no matter what.

I know you might not make this, but something I think about a lot but haven’t seen anywhere, what If dj joined team amazon (or team Chris). My reasoning is that heather and Alejandro were both trying to get dj to form an alliance with them since he was the last on his team, and since he was the last one on his team, I think it’s only fair that he joins another team to make it fair.
i've thought about this one before and plan to get around to doing sometime, just been really busy lately

I think it makes more sense to go by weight instead of a randomness to decide who gets in at the end. Owen and DJ got in while Tyler/Cody didn't so that seems to be what decided their fate
But Bridgette is pretty light, and she was able to make it.

I love this cast for Action sm in this au. Owen and izzy can have their plotline, Gwen gets her redemption, and Sadie gets to do more ig. I'm also happy Geoff and Bridgette don't get their weird make out thing, also dj wouldn't accept the chef alliance.
Now I really only have a problem with one thing in the cast. Leshawna was a finalist but got short sided, I think Courtney doesn't deserve her spot in the cast, although she very well could debut by suing saying that it was unfair to let ppl compete in a new season based on who is in the water at the ending or smth.

Now for storylines I think chef could ask izzy for an alliance, like originally, and she accepts it. Now I never liked the whole chef thing with dj because I don't think it's really in dj's character to do so but I think izzy would very well take chef on this offer (and wouldn't leave the game).
For possible team I came up with:
Well first of all for the two first boots of the season I chose Sadie and Justin, my reasoning is that Sadie and Justin would fight so much over Katie that it would start to annoy everyone, probably including Katie.
For team captains however I thought Alejandro and Heather would be pretty funny as their relationship is muddy as they on kinda on and off together.
Heather goes first and choses Cody; they were pretty close in the last episodes.
Alejandro is a bit insulted because Cody got him eliminated last season so Alejandro picks Leshawna; not only was Leshawna Heather's rival but Al was also Leshawnas helper.

Then Heather choses Sierra; Cody might want Heather to chose Gwen here but Heather knows Gwen would want to get her out as soon as possible.
Alejandro then picks Harold; I would think Harold made up with Al a bit because Harold did rig the voted against Duncan plus Leshawna wanted Harold on her team.
Heather choses trent; obviously.
Alejandro picks kacy next; kacy was good friends for Leshawna and out of her, Lindsay, or izzy, I think it's a clear choice.
Heather then choses Gwen here; Cody probably makes a promise to Heather that they won't vote her off based on what she did last season if they let Gwen on the team, Heather agrees.
Alejandro picks Tyler next; out of Owen (who he didn't like that much), Duncan who he didn't interact with plus Duncan doesn't really follow orders that well, I feel like he would just chose Tyler.

Heather choses duncan; for one she wants to make Alejandro mad by letting Owen on his team, second Trent remembers Duncan from the boathouse and wants to befriend him.
Alejandro picks Lindsay; kinda simple, Lindsay and Tyler threw challenges last season to see eachother so Alejandro decides not to separate them this time.
So that leaves Heather with izzy and Alejandro with owen; I'm sad Owen and izzy didn't end up on the same team but izzy does rejoin pretty early on and might comeback on Owen's team 🤷♂️
