This is amazing work Jojo! To think that 30 years later, we would be recreating real arcade cabinets, once thought to be impossible to get our hands on! I truly enjoyed watching this video and your dedication my friend. Keep up the good work ♥️
This amazing! I would love to have a shop this big for my projects, but my garage will have to do. You should consider breaking this video done in chapters per phase, but it's also good as is. MDF has always been my go to for cabinet work.
Nice work! I'm very impressed with the accuracy with your router. I don't think I've seen anyone do that and be consistent with the cuts and maintain straight edges! I'm actually working on a Punchout machine right now. Started last weekend. Will work on it some more this weekend.
imagine having this level of woodworking expertise and the facilities at your disposal to use it. anyone who can casually do this by knowing how to do things like those angular cuts, knowing when it makes sense to use a pre-made cutting template, what to even look for tool-wise to cut things like those speaker holes ...these are the same people who say "no! it's easy, trust me" ...then if they eventually go the route of making custom arcades for people, their price goes up-and-up due to the demands on their time, resulting in long waiting lists for each of these talented individuals. "you could *easily* do this!" ...because " _I_ as a talented wood-working individual with all the space and tools to do it _did_ this" ..YES I'm bitter, and YES you remain amazing at what you do😅
"without any fancy equipment"-you mean other than the whole warehouse-sized building filled with wood-working tools/equipment/machinery and metal-working tools/equipment/machinery...?
I like the idea of a full size MK, but I got the Arcade1up deluxe MKII because it will fit in my room better, I have a few other 1up cabs. I did get KI pro, and I have to build MKII and KI.
Wow impressive. Did you have an old donor cabinet for the plastic bezel and control deck hinge? I own an original MK2 cabinet and yours looks indistinguishable.
This was badass!! I SO THOUGHT THIS WAS GOING T O BE ANOTHER DOUCHEBAG PUTTING TOGETHER AN ARCADE1UP FOR THE TRILLIONTH TIME, LIKE WE CAN'T FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OURSELVES!!! NICE WORK!!!
Golden age games seem to get most of the reproduction kit love, fair enough their value is typically higher. I wonder if anyone is willing to do cnc kits for our 90’s midway cabs. Awesome work.
Yeah that would be amazing! Like a build kit with art already applied. I'm sure the only issue would be cost of material and labor I'm sure they would be pretty expensive on the sale end
how did u get a template to start this project am sure u would need some kind of guide as a starting point ??? how u get the right mesermant and shape of the cab to start to cut the wood ???
Really love the work but holy fuck what is that button layout!? Even if that's how it was on the OG machines that'd have to change for me! Jesus that's bad.
Pretty sweet! Just nitpicking here, but this cabinet has the wrong speaker setup for MKII (should be 1 mid range and 1 tweeter) and the wrong coin door setup.
11:18 where the yellow sticker is attached, what is the name of that structure that covers the monitor? and how did you get it? what material is it? Is there any way to create it? because I looked everywhere and nobody knows anything about it, the rest can be done with wood, but that casing doesn't...
@@TheWickedArcade Thank you very much friend, I'm going to see the measurements, I went crazy looking for that case, but nobody sold anything in my country (Argentina) and they just paint the glass black, I want my arcade to look like an original one (Mortal Kombat 3) now The tube I'm using is from a 25-inch television, will it be the same size as the official tube? the one they sell says 25 inches, I'll have to check that well before ordering it

I wish I was even a quarter as good at woodworking as him hahah. Now where’s the guy who’s making brand new CRTs?! 😂
This just popped up in my feed. This guy is amazing! What a great video.

Absolutely incredible. You even used a proper display. I need to find a buddy like Pipe Alonso. Amazing work!

WOW bro that is fucking dope you are a real master of your craft looks very authentic.
Really impressive. I hear that ozzy beat too!
You made your own wheels! Damn man 👍
Really nice build, time to upgrade those roms to MKII+!
Nice build and respect, i did exactly the same only built my self a Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Big Blue cabinet, a mk2 cab is my next project.

This is absolutely insane 😱 I am beyond impressed and extremely jealous of your talents. Do you sell these?
Amazing work an so effortlessly done without any fancy equipment. 👍

Wow, this was soooo entertaining!! 😮😮😮😮😮
Wow I love this it's what I want to build myself
wow amazing work
Did you make the plastic bezel for the screen? or did you buy an original one?
Incredible! Where are you located and would you consider building a couple more? Id love to buy one from ya.
I like the idea of a full size MK, but I got the Arcade1up deluxe MKII because it will fit in my room better, I have a few other 1up cabs. I did get KI pro, and I have to build MKII and KI.
I find cabinets that use MDF to be heavier than using the standard ply most of these cabinets were originally made with. Great job, subscribed!

Great video! This guy made it look offical, do you have a site or make any sales for parts or builds?
Good job! Did you use the original PCB?
Amazing work 👍 can you please share with us the measurements of the cabinet? Thanks in advance 🙏
Awesome build. Are these bezels still available?
Wow! Respect!!
Nice bro

Exquisite. I’m most impressed by your finishing touches. How did you make (or purchase) that plastic bezel to cover the monitor gaps?
Unfortunately no one reproduces them. Every now and then you can luck up on ebay or arcade boneyard.
Can you give the measurements of the joystick? (Height, width and length of each part)
fantastic. Is there a pdf file with the drawings?
Do you have the measurements and what not by chance? I would love to try and attempt this myself.

Only the best Mortal Kombat game ever.
2 full sides outta 1 4x8 sheet? Prolly 2 full sheets for komplete kab?
Y'all sell cabinets? I've been trying to get an accurate mortal kombat cabinet kit.

@@TheWickedArcade cool !
Good morning,
Do you have all the dimensions of all the parts?
THANKS
Hey buddy! Tried messaging you but can't find ya. Parts came in and wanted to get them to you!
Are these for sale? I need a NARC CABINET

Thank you for not using an LCD! 🎉
I couldn't agree more.
Hi, could you share the file with the measurements to reproduce the arcade cabinet? Sorry if there are errors but I write with Google Translate

is possible?
@@TheWickedArcade Thank you so much….grazie mille 🙏
How heavy is the cabinet when it's totally empty?
Completely empty its very light weight. You can literally slide it around with one hand empty.

I believe you have the wrong guy. I didn't sell or build cabinets for anyone
Is your name Ab
I bought it from your company called Chaos Foundry

Makita tools are garbage. MILWAUKEE!!!!!
FATALITY!!!!
Where do you find the black molded bezel around the screen?
Your best options would be eBay or arcade boneyard.
Unfortunately nobody recreates them at the moment hopefully shopefully soon somebody will

@@pipeagm los vendes? Necesito uno para una pantalla de 27”
I think there’s a good market for someone with a large vacuform machine to make custom plastic bezels for DIY arcade market
