Keep in mind, Jim Carrey made The Mask, Ace Ventura and Dumb & Dumber all in the same year. Played three very different characters - a shy hopeless romantic, an over-confident smartass, and a complete idiot. Quite a busy year for Carrey. And all three films hold up perfectly to this day
that's a lot of work. but i'm sure he had a blast.

I'm just here because I finished GoW Ragnarok and realized that the mask in that game and this movie look exactly alike and this movies mask says that the wearer will receive the powers of Loki and I think that may be the coolest fucking Easter egg I have ever caught in a video game.

This really was the role Jim was born to play. Out of all alternate universes out there, ours definitely made out with the best portrayal of this character.

Cartoon Logic, the abilities of Loki the God of Mischief (in this iteration) is literally a animated character so when he got banished into the mask (ignoring the contradictions of Son of the Mask) the artifact is imbued with his crazy abilities letting said wearer to gain his cartoony abilities like invincibility, durability, elasticity, super speed, shape shifting etc.
It’s the reason why The Mask is able to survive anything because he’s a living cartoon character in our real world, he can bend our physics to his every whim.

No. Leave this classics alone. I noticed Matrix 4 was being made and I think they should not make a 4th Matrix film either. The new Star Wars trilogy was an example to what happens when a studio ruins a classic movie.
They were going to make a sequel a while ago but Jim Carrey himself said after doing Ace Ventura 1 and 2 he discovered that he didn't like returning to characters he's done before.
