    Just discovered your videos. I was very impressed, not only with the imagery but your commentary as well. I have a dream which may become a reality. I”m looking at a Nordhavn 60 & sailing the South Pacific. Keep up the good work.

      That is awesome! Glad that you are enjoying the videos. Morning Dew is a N60 that just went up for sale; they did some awesome adjustments to her layout. James Knight might know of a N60 as well. Look forward to maybe meeting you some day!

      Thank you. While I was a Nordhavn Dreamer I was always searching for more information. I am hoping to provide that to other dreamers.

      @@havaseas I tend to watch videos that feature Nordhavn vessels (MV Freedom, Mermaid Monster, etc) My favorite is the N63.

      Your comment had me laughing. Eric is a serious guy. But, yes he was a bit stressed. It was a long trip and we had only been actually learning to work it the 2-3 months prior to the trip. It went very well though and he is more comfortable.

      Did you ever watch Tim the Toolman Taylor on Home Improvement? I am Wilson. ;) Seriously tho... after being the photographer and now the videographer, I am a little cameras shy. I am working on personal growth, so I will be trying to see if I can handle being on camera. I can see that you also like a good cigar. :)

    Hi, FIRST TIME watcher and I wonder why you chose the 55 over the 57 Nordhaven model when moving up from your 24 footer. The 57 seems "sleeker" but the 55 seems to be built "stronger" and taller. I have recently decided I liked the smoother ride of a "longer than 55" vessel over more compact vessels, too - particularly in rough seas, So I just wondered what swayed you in the direction of the 55.

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Před 2 lety +1

      Good question. I love the N57. I also would be very happy with a N50. My husband wanted a newer model and his dream was the N55. The N55 has similar access to the bedrooms so I am very happy. Our boat has been incredibly stable so I am thrilled.

    with the current can you in that area get out of the current without endangering the boat and crew by skirting the sides of the canal or is it to dangerous? probably not but just wondering.. great video!

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Před 3 lety +1

      Are you referring to the Wrangell Narrows? We would want to make sure that we stayed within the marked areas because it gets very shallow. I think they dredged the area to allow for the boats to get through. Thanks!

    • @havaseas
      @havaseas  Před 3 lety +1

      Eric watched the 2004 Nordhavn Atlantic Rally and then I watched it. That was the first time that I thought I could actually live and travel on a boat. Eric is all about safety and he would only consider a Nordhavn. I am pleasantly surprised at how safe ours feels.
