If you want a fighting game with a low barrier to entry this is a fantastic choice. There is also a free version (rotating characters, really more of a demo)
insane how much the fgc hates on simpler controls and easier entry into the genre when its literally dying, so im glad this game exists and feels great to play

SF6 is the only reason why they sound big again, because it introduced actual user friendly controls. But you low rank hardstucks go on hate tirades about modern controls instead of embracing the fact that someone has actually found out fighting games have objectively bad control schemes and maybe simplifying them for accessibility isnt a bad idea. So im glad this game exists and im glad SF6 saved the genre by introducing it to the mass market. You can mald about it all you want but these are just the facts.

For those curious: yes, this game is very flexible and easy to learn. There's some complex thing you can come up with but don't need to spend weeks just to learn one thing. It more than deserves the 9 it got.
This is honestly Arc System Works best fighting game. It’s a worthy challenger against Street Fighter VI for best fighting game of the year!

The 1st game was fun but was flawed & worst of all it came out at the absolute worst time for its archaic online, but this sequel is a step about that game in damn near every way

Imagine grinding for outfits and unlocking character effects! Like giving Percival black/Green fire. Or turning Anila's sheep into demon dogs. (Or Dolphins since people like to call her May lol.)

That's the Deluxe season pass that has extra content. The normal season pass, that only has the next 6 characters, will cost $35, but it is not for sale yet

Not a heavy fighting game person nor multiplayer, but this one did semi spark my attention similar to tekken 8 .
Reminder FREE version can play all modes and full story from first game.
But you can’t get individual characters like you can in ACTUAL f2p games lol

Granblue was originally a gacha game which is what made it very popular then they made other games in the series like versus and this one and there's a very anticipated game coming out in January 29 which is granblue relink , very excited for that game

Too many female characters
Granblue Rising is one of the scummiest fighting games I've seen in a while. People who already own the base game get NOTHING and have to rebuy the whole game. Greedy producers wanted to charge $50 for quality of life updates, something most devs do for free.
The devs be like, yeah we give you free version. So how about $60 for base game on top of another $60 for season pass.
Calling this a quality of life update is crazy, new characters story mechanics and modes plus rollback netcode. Season pass complaints are valid but everything else makes no sense.

Can't play co-op like in the first one, no weapons to find and upgrade, also shorter than the previous RPG mode but now it's better? Yeah, makes sense.
