thank you very much - much more fun with friends and family
Lovely ❤ I don’t think my teenagers have seen the sun on weekends for years😂
I know what you mean 😅
👋Hello again Andrew,
Looks like you've chosen a really lovely spot by the sea, complete with a view westward of that famous Cornish Mount near Landsend. I have visited St Michaels at least twice in my lifetime and it's a fascinating place with its own amazing views. I see from the video that you were having to work very quickly to capture the evening setting sun and just like the changing light, your application of paint also was transformed on your canvas board. I loved the way you went about capturing this scene too. I think your so very lucky to have so many beautiful opportunities to paint En Plien Air, especially as Cornwall is surround South and West by so many different inlets and coves. Altogether, a beautiful little rendition Andrew.😊😅❤it
Thank you very much Paul.
We are indeed very lucky to have such an amazing variety of plein air subject matter on our doorstep.
All the best
Andrew
Another great video. Very enjoyable with the commentary and the natural sound track. A nice piece of work.

Ein kleines unpretänsioses schönes Bild-chen...
Schönen Sommer noch Wünsche Dir Andrew
Thank you so much Douglas
You have such an ability to simplify and capture the feel in a way that is very easy on the eyes. Really authentic art sir, well done. Thank you for the video, God bless!
Thank you so much 😀
I really appreciate your support and comments
I like the painting, and how you explain what you are doing, and how you showed the finished work from a few days later, and it was nice how you included the area looked a bit later after sundown. Thanks!
Thank you very much George
Always love these plein air videos with your adorable daughter. Hope you can make another one with her before her school starts! Beautiful little painting as well!
Thanks Lisa. I will see what the weather is like this week. She leaves for Bristol on Saturday
Nice little painting Andrew so many colours in this late evening light
Many thanks Keith

One of my favorites of yours already.
Thank you, one love from Poland.
Many thanks. Glad you enjoyed it so much 😃
Hello Andrew, sounds like you are using my well tried method of "that bit goes there".😄 Hi, from Torridge🙋♀️
Yes it’s a good method 😃
Hello Andrew
A new treat to watch you paint again.☘️
Thank you so much Rosemary

Lovely place
Hi Andrew ! Lovely painting ! And this coastal area is wonderful. And, I saw Madeleine who herself transformed in a few seconds into the little mermaid of Copenhagen 😄.
Where had Basil gone ?
Thank you so much Jasmine 😀
No Basil this time as he was tired from a long walk in the morning.
A bientot
Beautiful spot and beautiful painting!!!
Thank you very much Birgit
Hi Andrew ... this scene looked like a bit of a challenge with the bright glare in the water and hazy sky ...the burnt sienna tone seemed to enhance the color ... overall the painting turned out well even though the light was changing fast ... I do see a bit more of a gold/yellow in the foreground? I've used gold pigmented paint for water highlights and it works out well ...
Hi Nancy
It was a challenge. Mainly because of the fading light which meant deciding what colours to use had to be done quickly. Unfortunately we had to walk back along the coast path afterwards (in the dark) but got back safely
There aren't many who use traditional (ie, real) gesso these days - made it yourself? If so, that'd make a good video in itself. Good/better to work on than acrylic primer?
Thanks Robert
Yes I make it myself and love the surface way more than acrylic gesso. I think a video on the subject would be great this winter 👍🏻
