Too bad Shady's information is wrong - the Giants won a playoff game with Daniel Jones and Tyrod Tylor won a total of only 2 games the next year when Jones was hurt.
So to say every backup "outplayed this dude" is just flat out wrong. Brian Daboll won NFL Coach of the Year with Danny Dimes as his QB - Danny had a top 20 rushing season of all time and had 22 total TDs 5 INTS and threw for 67+% completion rate with Richie James as his WR1. If that's not a Pro Bowl season, I'm not sure what is!

The Jets have been doing that for the past 50 years since 1970 with Namath...drafting a QB every couple years often early in the 1st round and it's never worked for them.
Jets would be better off if they just kept Geno.

Look at the Jets and ATL, they squared away the rosters and then signed a guy...and Vegas got them both at 10-11 wins. Heck even Chicago is looking like they might be a very good team this year. It's alot easier to keep/maintain talent when u ain't paying a QB...I think that is the way to go in the NFL right now.

Great quarterbacks have come from schools way smaller than Duke. Josh Allen came from one of the Dakota's of all places. He did whoop on Kirk Cousins and the Vikes without Saquon or any WR you could name that'll probably be the highlight of his career.
Jones was 17-19 at Duke. Josh Allen was 16-11. Josh Allen also had a higher QB rating by quite a bit. The Duke thing just shows he didn’t come out of a traditional football program. My biggest issue with Jones is 1-12 in prime time games. It means he shrinks when the lights are bright. This ain’t a second year QB. We know who he is. He wasn’t a winning QB in college. He’s not a winning QB in pros.
It's not the school he came from but the extention the ownership insisted on giving him. He did not deserve an extention of up to $160 million. Seriously that was a bad business decision and everyone except the ownership knew it. Should they get a QB with the #6 pick? Nope. They should trade out for more and future picks. Jones guaranteed money ends after 2024. Look for a QB in lower rounds and start scouting for a QB in the 2025 draft.

@@vicwayi704 there’s alot of things wrong with the Giants , this year he had 10 different offensive lineman in 6 weeks. Saquan got hurt . Wandale barely played the first half of season , Hyatt was a rookie and got rookie snaps early on , and the hardest part of our schedule was the first 6 weeks . Not to mention our defense didn’t show up till week 6 , we had 2 turnovers the first 5 weeks of the season and 29 after . And you’re a “professional commentator and you say something as stupid as Danny Devito outplayed him . It’s just ignorant. I guarantee he couldn’t name 2 players on the giants oline

In 2022 Danny Dimes had 22 total TDs, 5 INTs, and a top 20 rushing season of all time with Richie James who is barely above a practice squad WR on other teams he's played on as his WR1.
Yes DJ won a playoff game but so did Tebow and Bortles.

One of the only times I agree with JJ. You get the pieces, and then you reset the clock with a rookie QB and give yourself a 4-5 year window to win it all.
Look at teams like ATL and the Jets. They didn't even have to draft one, but found themselves in prime position with just being a QB away with everything else in place.
My only advice is get the OLine right before you get the QB....yall been struggling with that forever. Is Evan Neal still on the team? Lol

It's obvious that the Giants GM did not want Jones, hence he did not pick up the 5th year option, as was planning on letting him go.. But after the frankly unexpected success, it's been widely reported that Mara pushed to sign Jones to that contract as he thought he got his "next Eli Manning." I bet the GM compromise with Mara was ok boss we'll sign him but we'll need an out after year 2 because I know he sucks. Hence why now Mara publicly is ok with moving on from Jones.

You wanna fix the Giants it’s simple!! They need offensive linemen drafted immediately to help protect Daniel Jones! The Giants need a new running back that is versatile with running the ball and catching out of the backfield. The Giants need WRs immediately to have weapons to throw to! Maybe invest in a TE as well. If they still have picks remaining get some CBs on defense and hit free agency to get more defensive help! At least give Daniel Jones a fighting chance to see what he can do with new offensive weaponry! If he fails with all that help then get a new quarterback for the 2025 season!
