Great work - that is a very possible issue. I totally agree most things do not need touchscreens! Especially in medical devices. Works great for phones but most medical device companies touch screen suppliers are not all that great. I have some major issues with the fluke infusion ID-1 touch screens - and they want like 1000 dollars to fix this thing (almost half the cost of the device no calibration included) - not sure what type of touchscreen it is but it just seems to fail after very little use (even after calibrating it.

From repairing those ipads for our school system. I find that if you look through the magnifier of a touch screen, you can actually see defective areas in the X - Y axis of the screen. But for capacitance that may be a different story. However, it still can be a defective screen. I have taken brand new screens out of their wrappers that are bad.

Muy buen video. Me gusta tu taller. Quiero construir un analizador de electrosurgical unit con la resistencia que tienes al lado de ese monitor.
Aquí en Colombia no se consigue. Si tienes idea de como hacerlo, te agradezco. Muchas gracias, eres el mejor.

Hey, what if an touchscreen on a (ANDROID/GENERIC) tablet just suddenly went crazy and progressively failed in all but part of the screen? Will shocking the screen with a lighter sparker work if done correctly or is it more likely to do with the cof cable ? Any other suggestions? ALSO: I did splash a little water on it before it went crazy, but I wiped that off and was able to fully use it until it went nuts while watching a music video on yt. Inside the device, the black wire from the batt to circuit bd has some insulation missing at the end, so I wonder if some charge is being lost elsewhere that should go to the screen. Additionally, I wonder if the portable bluetooth speaker vibration had something to do with it (it was fairly close)...

It's hard to say. That's a capacitive touch screen most likely. Clean the screen thoroughly and then restart

Hi there ! Interesting vidéo thanks, I'll see about some other very soon since you've done some of them on a few topics I'm getting to get introduced to.
I wonder if you have any following up video to let us know if you found the probleme with these touchscreen devices. Funny, I'm currently facing an issue with one and I've seen that regarding the power supply converter powering my electronic card, the problem is either there or not there regarding which power supply converter I'm using.
    Regards !

The major problem with capacitive touch is a clean screen is necessary. In medical environments, sanitizer wipes wet the perimeter and the moisture degrades / corroded the capacitive matrix
