Canik by the way made in Turkey 😉
Ď
I don't even carry my glock anymore since I've be on canik .... The canik overall is just a better gun though most just won't breakdown and admit it glock is overrated and over priced but to each it's own
Well glock got the pistol right and were the best at one point. I mean that’s why most pistols have a glock takedown now. But they got lazy. And now canik offers all the good things about glock with some upgrades for cheaper. I wouldn’t say glocks have become worse. They are solid just not competitive against the canik. However they still have an advantage of aftermarket support.
If Canik had the same marketing budget as Glock its guns would be the standard issue across the galaxy.
Well spoken
glock overpriced scrap.. not reliable....
Merlin Kim Samonte that’s a stretch. To say a Glock is anything but one of the most rugged firearms ever produced is just delusional
Across the Galaxy🤣🤣All Facts Brotha
Try getting customer service from Canik, LOL. Ill keep my G19 Gen4.
I have to be honest, I really like how the Canik looks.
+papabeanguy Yeah its a good looking gun for sure
@@Hegshot87 It's a shark postol, canik should change there name and call it shark
Agreed…Canik looks b*****n’
My husband was always a glock guy. Until he got a Canik!
Myself as well. I had a glock 17, then the Canik got me!
Just got myself the TP9 SFx it’s great !!
Who using canik as there first pistol they are very loyal to guns
I own both and I love both. Canik is just as good, if not better than Glocks. Love them both. Nothing better than either I'm my opinion. My G19X and my TP9SF Elite are my 2 favorites.
@@kratos7678 got a Mete SFT and just bought a Combat Executive too
I like that Canik better
$$ 2 TP9 = 1 Glock19 . This is a big reason too
Turkey canik tp 9 sf
Canik is a nice gun
@@ThepDenNgoaiBien this is not a reason since the s400 is better than the patriot but patriot cost more money
I have the SF and a Glock,....love both pistols but I really like the trigger pull/reset of the Canik much better.
Canik trigger is amazing i wish s&w could buy the trigger and use it glock would be done
I have the tp9sf elite and a glock 17c. The canik trigger is so sweet. I shoot tighter groups with the canik. I hate that I love the canik as much as I do being a glock fanboy
Polimer quality between glock and canik fit and finish .
Thank u
I haven't even tried the Canik but I understand everything you typed!
@@austinstar1100 Canik just copied the Walther p99 under license then improved it
I love these Caniks. I own 4 & have over 25,000 round combined thru them. The both of my SFX are my competition guns. Never any issues. For the money & quality, you can't beat a Canik.
As someone who owns the DA, I have to ask... why do so many favor the SF? For not too much of a price difference you can get the DA/SA trigger and a decocker.
@@TB-xl9eg A lot of people have something against a Decocker. They think the gun will become decocked while they are carrying it. I call it paranoia . Some don't like DA/SA trigger. The TP9 DA is a great gun & often overlooked.
@@tonym362. Never thought of it like that. I guess I've always been kinda different in that regard. I wanted my 1st handgun to be a Walther P99... solely because of the decocker and ambi paddle mag release. Then found out that wasn't happening. Settled on a HK VP9, and ran by a guy at the range that had the Canik. I started researching, and all I could find was SF or V2. But when I found the DA, and saw the price point... yeah, I got it. By far one of my favorite handguns to shoot.
@@TB-xl9eg I was shooting a PPQ & a 1911 in competition. A guy had a Canik, he seemed to like it. I did my research, bought the SFX, that was over 2 years ago. I now own 6 different Caniks. I sold my PPQ. I liked the Caniks a lot better.
@@tonym362 sold my ppq also for my sf
I own both and my Canik out performs my Glock every time I take them to the range! Canik hands down better than glock!
Out perform how?
@@144Souldier better accuracy and more comfortable to shoot in general
@@IAMLEGIT2323 Thats an opinion
@@144Souldier accuracy isn’t an opinion
@@144Souldier I have shot both a fair amount of times and I can say the feel and accuracy of the canik is superior in every way. Glock is outdated as you can see by the need to basically change the whole gun to make it competitive. Canik on the other hand is competitive right out of the box.
I bought a Canik TP9SF a few years ago, I’ve always wanted a glock, I finally went down to the gun store and just the feel of the glock was horrible compared to the canik. My canik cost me around $300 and the glock still felt cheaper in the hand
@@D-A-1776 they don't even cost that much to make.
@@D-A-1776 I was a Glock armorer for my PD. The instructor's at that time in the mid 1980's told us that there was 5 cents of plastic in the frame and under 10 dollars in materials in the entire gun. They would trade us gun for gun with no money added and sell our revolvers to 3rd world countries at a profit. Whether the instructor was BSing us I have no idea but the gun was designed to be made as cheaply as possible. Putting a Glock's build quality against other strickers and you'll notice that a Glock is made out of mostly stamped parts including the sear where other companies have a reasonable amount of of miled and machined parts. Paying over $550 for one of these cheap guns is highway robbery.
Here we are 4 years later and the caniks are still doing fine!!! I figure they have a good track record now, and there shouldn't be any questions whatsoever
Had my Canik tp9sf elite for about a month, no problems. 500 rounds so far. My mags slide right out with no assistance. Great gun!
I'll put my life on it!!!!!!

I have both as well and shoot the canik better as well. Best double stack for under $400. Trigger is much better than glocks and I'm a glock fanboy.

Canik is 💯% better.
canik is a turkish quality
If Glock and Canik were the same price, Canik would still be the better pistol.
Yes sure
Philip Deppen mama just bought me the SF for my birthday. She really did a lot of research, excited for it to come in. She said the Academy guy made her feel stupid and she was so upset she cried because she just wanted to get me something I would be proud of. Local 1%er and buddy of mine she reached out to, really educated her. Made her confident on her purchase. She really picked a great pistol for me. And thanks for the help bro. And thanks for the comparison, if you have both then “obviously “ you would know what you are talking about. I’ve never shot one.
If law enforcement trust Glock and I have been told that in person by Las Vegas metro officer. I trust Glock. Anything made can have issues so nothing is perfect.
Kirin Sama I do not plan on ever owning Canik unless you plan on donating
@neo nero It's only politics. Only trying to pressure a country. It's not only about Turkey. Any other country would be pushed like that if others had any chance. When a commitee of historians/academics put up a work on the matter we can have another word on it. Guess who denies access to their libraries/documents? Not Turkey.
I prefer the Canik. Being more affordable is just the "icing on the cake"!
Well of course the mags won't drop freely if you hold the gun sideways. That's just gravity 101.
That was my thinking, as well.
Gravity 😂😂😂😂..
😂 I was thinking the same damn thing
You took the words out of my mouth bro. 👍
He wants em to shoot out the bottom lol
i was a glock fan boy, but then i got my 1st canik, loved canik so much i got a 2nd one, now about to get a 3rd one, never went back to glock, dont even own a glock anymore.
How are they holding up because I'm in the same boat...down to one glock 👀👀
Canik all the way, much better trigger and good looking sexy gun.
Well done video. I came back to watch it again. Have owned several Glocks and have two Glocks now, a 20 gen4 and a 43 and like both a lot for their intentional uses, particularly the 20 10mm. I just bought a Canik tp9sf elite today and being a truck driver it will be a while before I get to shoot it. While dry firing at the lgs I fell in love with the trigger "AWESOME" and it really fits the hand well. Thanks for a well thought out video.
I have Glock 17 with upgrades and my factory canik tp9sf just shits on the Glock. I have 3 jams in my Glock canik zero.
I happy you said that. I feel better because I just bought one
Fix your grip
G17 is a damn fine duty sidearm that will outlive you
Just got the TP9SF Elite -S and absolutely love it ! Especially for appendix carry as it has the trigger block safety that swings up and keeps the trigger from being engaged ,perfect for not accidentally blowing your junk off by snagging something on reholstering. My Canik shoots circles around my Glock 19!
It's kinda snappy I guess I just gotta get used to it but never then less I love it
any updates 9 months later?@@KingNez89
Pay 600 and get EVERYTHING you need right out of the box with canik
I paid $325 for my TP9SF-Elite and it performs just as good as my Glock 23 that I paid $530 for ...
@Frank Bonazza III true only thing I don't like about canik. Is that you came get mags or holsters by the big name brand. Like tulster
I have three Kimbers few S&W's and a Baby Eagle. I love & Prefer that damn Canik. Makes no sense but it is my fave.
I love my Canik TP9 V2, solid gun for a great price . Will be getting a Elite.
I HAVE A CANIK TP9SFX AND LOVE IT. ITS MY EDC. YES ITS LARGE BUT MAKING THE SHOT IS NEVER A QUESTION
I have replaced all my glocks with caniks .. Tp9sa ,sf elite , and most recent is the canik sub compact witch is my carry gun... I was a huge glock fanboy until i shot a canik.. Canik is far superior in every way ..even the build quality is way better.. Feels like quality of like a sig or hk.. And just for your info i have zero malfunctions of any kind on all of my caniks with thousands of rounds threw each of them
Canik has a awesome trigger sf model
I have Glock's and Canik's, and I by far enjoy shooting the Canik's the most. Far more accurate and better quality plus I get modern ergonomics unlike the Glock's 1982 tech that they keep feeding us, Remember the Glock Gen 5 was scrapped do to malfunctioning. Price, quality and sold by Century Arms sold me on the Canik. Good review....
Reloading from the hot pot what about 1911 tech, or cz75 tech or hi power tech or beretta 92 tech, i can keep going
i love this price range to
Just bought a glock Gen 5. Nothing was scrapped.
Great unbiased review! Canik is without a doubt the better value to me and the trigger is really sweet!
Looks -Canik, Accuracy - Canik, Trigger - Canik, Grip angle -Canik, Price - Canik, Sights - Canik, Acessories - Canik, Reliability - Both, Marketing - Glock.
I bought a Elite recently and absolutely love it. The trigger is heavenly and basically everything about it is really good.
I love it, great show... just a quick note, Canik stands on its side a bit upwards so that you can pick it up with one hand very quickly off the table.
Exactly
I have 2 Caniks, TP9DA and TP9SF Elite. The Elite is my everyday carry, the trigger is so smooth and responsive. I'm trying to get my hands in the SFX ASAP.
I don't have the elite, but I have the tp9sf. Personally, I love it. It is my edc. I would put it against any factory glock on any given Sunday. I know a cpl of glock fanboys who bought one after shooting mine. Love it.
i have the elite. where are you finding them for 380?
The regular sf can be had for between $329 at j&g sales up to $375 or so in stores. The elite and new elite S is around $450 most places I've called.
Checkout Prepper Gun Shop, Centerfire Guns & AIM surplus.
What holster are you using for your canik?
Just type in gun.deals in your browser and then do a search on slick guns, it will find you all the best prices on the internet :-)
Canik is a lot of gun for the money. It's what Glock used to be.
@Thystaff Thywill Don't know if you've kept an eye on Canik, but you can find many of them around $350-375. I just bought a TP9SFL for $400 after taxes, shipping, and transfer fee. I'm wondering how it will stack up to my CZ P10.
I held both side by side in my local gun store. Canik felt better and has better overall packaging. Also, check out the TP9SF METE. The biggest difference is that it is optics-ready and comes with an 18+1 spare instead of 2 x 15+1. Sights also vary
Just bought my first gun and because of all the great reviews, I went with the Canik TP9SF Elite! So excited to get to the range with it and see for myself just how good it is
Yep, me too but I will 100% be getting a Glock also.
Nice. How much did you pay?
Davion Cooper I paid $305 before taxes and FFL transfer
And 10 months later- did you use it and how was it?
@@lokumftw2621 it’s my daily carry and I love it. Trigger feels crisp and smooth, it’s got a good weight to it but still a compact package, I wish I would’ve bought one sooner.
Great honest review! I have the V2 and Glock 30 FS. Although the Glock 45 acp, it is very similar to the 19 in size for EDC.
I have always considered the Canik a bargin for what you get with it stock.
Your review was very real world and should help many.
Thank you very much for all the information that you're offering us
I own both and I love both. G19x and SF Elite. Both top quality. I give the edge to my Canik though. Not a single upgrade needed. I don't upgrade my glocks either. Out of the box Canik all day long!
Best gun(to me ) out the box, no upgrades or any kind of changes need it,, have my TP9SF
More than(testing by miself)3000 rds without cleaning...0 malfunction !...😎👍
Hey thanks for explaining how both gun are great 👍🏾 and your break down of the canik was by far the best I seen. I just purchased a canik
Thanks for this video bro. Been debating and really looking into Canik as a brand overall. Thanks for the info
100 dislikes? Glock owners, smh
I have the sfx and love it used to carry a glock 17 now I’ve switched to Canik they out Glocked the Glocks, the trigger is 10x better too
The Canik dimes to dollars are a better buy.
For those that say well it's made in Turkey LMAO a lot of the well known American gun companies have their guns machined in Turkey now and they Assemble them in the US so they can say they're American built lmao.
Plus Canik is made in an IOS NATO approved machine shop Glock is not.
thomas abel Canik is literally an Turkish company dude.
@@barsdogukankarakoyun8798 Whats your point? HK, Sig and Walther are German.. Germans started 2 world wars.. (Walther even provided guns to the Nazis) does that mean all those brands are off limits too? AK's are made by communists, are they off limits too?
SaneNoMore nope those arent off limits, just the caniks
What well known American gun companies have their guns manufactured in Turkey ?
@@kevinnugent223 none. In fact a lot of foreign guns are made in America... Glock is made in Smyrna GA, Sig Sauer is made in Exeter New Hampshire, some Taurus guns are made in Miami Fl, KEL TEC is made in Cocoa Fl and many more.
I just bought a TP9SA Mod.2 for my first handgun. It came with two 18 round magazines and the other things, I also purchased two more 20 round magazines, & four boxes FMJ ammo.
I got the Canik TP9 DA and my brother has the Glock 19 and still think Canik is better your paying for the name with glock. They are still really good guns but for almost $200 less I would take the Canik over the "Stick of Butter".
I have a glock 19 gen 4. I recently purchased the TP9 SA Mod 2..I prefer my Canik over the Glock. The trigger on the Canik is much more responsive...The price make it a win in my book as well...
KenROCK1330 I love my canik tp9DA
I own the canik tp9sf, best for the money
Mine came with 2 18 rd. Clips and everything else you mentioned. I got rid of my ruger p89 and now carry my canik all the time.
* magazines…..
Excellent review. Looks like I want the Canik. I would also say that the other big difference between these two would be aftermarket support/parts (Glock having more), which may or may not matter to some.
I like the way you go over specific sizes and compare things
By looks alone CANIK wins it for me. I love my Glock but that Canik looks more premium.
Canık harıka
Great Review! I think you're right on about the Canik being equal or better than the Glock. Everyone has their favorites and Glocks are at the top of the list. There are a lot of gun manufactures around the world and from what I've seen from the reviews so far Canik is one of those "Top Manufacturers".
Enjoy your reviews!
I just bought a Canik 9mm and in doing research brought me here. I always had Ruger before and the sales person sold me on Canik. Good to hear I made a quality purchase!
I have the regular tpsf one series canik. Beautifully made. Never fails. Solid. 18+1 got two 20 rd mags for $50 online too
I know I'm late but I prefer the Canik over the Glock. I had a brand new Glock 23 paid around 600 for it key word had. I liked the Glock as far as how it felt in my hand better than the Canik. I personally didn't like the trigger on the Glock it literally hurt my finger to shot it so I sold it. I Checked out the Canik Elite and I liked the trigger way more and the grip was decent. Took the Canik to the range end of story very accurate and smooth shooting. Still have the Canik I've bought a few more guns since getting the Canik some ive traded or sold altogether but the Canik ain't going noooowhere its a keeper l love it.
Why do people always say Its s great gun for the price? Why can’t it just be a great gun? Just a thought. That said. Thanks for the video.
It's a great gun
Excellent review, thanks for sharing.
I own the tp9sfl (long slide version of the tp9) and I will never let it go! This is by far the best 9mm pistol under in the $450 - $550 price range that I've ever owned.
Canik tp9 favorite has great hitting shots, I definitely recommend the price can also be affordable
OMG that Canik looks 🔥🔥🔥
A big help with the mags hanging up is to put a metal baseplate on the mags. I put those on my glock 48 and just that little bit of weight really helps to pull the mag out. It does add a bit of weight, but not too much, and the weight lower down helps to reduce felt recoil as the weight acts like a buffer almost
The TP9SF doesn't really have a mag hang, he must have dropped his in a jar of honey.
Dang love this vid. Thank you for good comparison. I have both of these pistols and cant go wrong wit either.
+DERYLLE DE VERA Thanks man
Hi, I respect every personal criteria, but I see the Canik a little more advanced than the Glock, in terms of its use I look at the lighter shots, its appearance looks very sexy, its box brings everything well organized, but the best of all is the price in the market.
yes sir, canik is very sexy
The mags in the Canik do drop free they’re flawless
I got the Canik TP9 and it's VERY comfortable, I also have larger than normal hands for a man (not a nice thing it literally hurts to hold a mouse on the PC and gloves are HARD to come by) and the Canik fits great, also I don't have the issue with the mag not dropping, if I release it mine flys out
Great honest video! Your work and presentation was easy to watch and very REAL WORLD. I have owned a TP9 V2 for three years. Compared to the numerous handguns I have own, it is equal or better. The decocker isn't an issue for me. Canik really has listened to it's customers and seems to make weapons that it's customers desire.
I happen to carry a Glock 30 FS .45 acp. I am an fan of the .45 acp and is the reason I carry it. Glock is hard to argue with as it is a proven platform and is being used worldwide.
I totally agree with the marginal sites they come with. In can never understand why they keep using those standard sites?
Canik is here to stay and if it had ; Springfield, Smith & Wesson or Ruger on it's side it would be priced at 500.00 plus.
Springfield and XD ring a bell?
Thanks for the video and keep up the good work.
Semper Fi
I have the Canik. It is my favorite 9mm. Hands down no contest with a Glock
Agreed!
The Elite will be my next purchase
Great review, thank you.
Love you review! Very honest and open with your opinions! I'll be ordering mine soon! Damn I'm excited!!!!!!! Once again buddy great video! Aloha
Canik…….2017 Gun Of The Year, For Good Reason
And 2019 with Elite Combat
If these two pistols were the same price, I'm still taking the Canik.
I bought my Canik TP9SA and it is a very affordable, great pistol and it shoots and handles like a handgun designed and made for.
Thx for sharing your video.
2 Thumbs up!
When it comes to the overall length specs, it’s The distance of the 2 furthest points of the pistol. The glocks grip angle is why the specs are deceiving. Frame slide length is usually not the full length of the pistol due to how the grip protrudes past the slide
Love you CANIK tp9sfx good pıstol
Canik is doing really well. As I observe, he receives awards every year.
13:07 if you look at the handles, Canik handle is not flat, on the table, sticks up. reason for that, you can grab it quickly,
At 15:00 no need to key back on the slide ,comes straight out when u depress the two sides
I was always a S&W guy till I got my first canik now I have one of each canik they make. They are fantastic
I just got my canik sf 2 days ago i love it
The magazine not dropping in the canik could just be your beefy hands gripping the mag. I have the canik tp9sf elite 2500 rounds, only problem was the slide didn't lock back on an empty mag. But I feel you get way more for the canik just bc is so cheap, plus FRONT SLIDE SERRATIONS!!
I owned a Glock 17. It was alright except for the crappy sights. Bought a canik tps9 sa. After 10 clips( came with 2 18 Rd clips) got rid of the Glock and ketp the canik. Works as good or better than the Glock,a little taller in my hand which made sight aquiring easier and better groups at 25 yards. I like the holster that came with it for open carry , but still need to get one for concealed carry.
The Canik has been said to be tested to nearly 100k rds and still functions with no problems
60,000 rounds NATO approved
Great video. I haven't any problems with the mags dropping on my caniks.
I was gifted my first firearm a Stevens Model 39 .410 shotgun on my 12th birthday. I lived on a farm at the time and the .410 was perfect for dispatching pest and predators, It also worked well on squirrels and rabbits.
The mags not dropping free on the canik is an easy fix. Inside the grip there are two ridges on each side that go from the bottom to the top of the grip. You just sand these down little by little until your mags drop free without being jiggly. Then put a little lube on your mags and they drop out nice. Still not as springy as a PPQ which just seem to fly out, but adecquitly nonetheless.
Always looked at Glocks and they are just too chunky and clunky this confirms I will be buying a Canik
Good decision bro
I have only owned one Glock, a 23. I regularly get to shoot my coworkers 17 and 19. I own the Canik SF and SF Elite and I'm very pleased with my choice. The triggers in both guns are fantastic and the reliability through several hundred rounds in each is there.
I love the whole illusion that mags (like in the movies) should just fly out of your gun . Obviously as the slide locks back and it gets a lil dirty u gotta rip em out . That’s why most guns have cuts now . Hey , do the mags from the PPQ also work in the Elite ? They look identical. Thx for the review!
You know this review seems fair and all whenever you compare the Canik tp9sf to the Glock 19 but if you add one little letter to the Canik tp9sf then you get the tp9sfx which blows the Glock 19 out of the water
The sfx is an absolute nail driver. I mean that literally!! I have started nails in a piece of wood and drove them with 3 round groups at 20 yards. Canink tp9sfx is no joke!
Out preformed the glock on every standard! I have had two glocks and not once was I impressed by them… spend the extra money and get the combat elite, you won’t be disappointed especially if you liked the trigger on the tp9. The only nice thing I have to say about glock is their mags are dirt cheap.
I have owned at least 10 different Glocks in my life, including the unicorn Glock (17L Gen 2). I usually go back to them just because of the reliability. But I am never excited about them. I was going to trade a Smith and Wesson and damn near bought another Glock 17. Guy had a TP9 SF Elite for shy of 300. I am blown away by the trigger and I love the sights. I am waiting on background check. First Canik, all the reviews have me very excited.
I have the canik as well, I've never owned the glock, but my friend did, and I'm not knocking it, but his glock jammed up after 8 rds consistently, I even tore it down and cleaned it, still same outcome, maybe something with his, im not sure, both are great weapons, but I'm sticking with the canik, also have a Taurus TH9, soghts need shifted out of the box, but again, consistent with no jams
Just though I would say I've owned my G19 Gen4 for 4 years and I've never had a problem with any of my mags dropping free loaded or unloaded
Canik for sure is the better value. To get to the Caniks level you need a better trigger better sights. 650 later the Glock would be more comparable to the Canik.
I have the Canik V2, and could not be more pleased. When I go for walks, it's with me in my Kelty fanny pack.
Among other several firearms I got a TP9sfx and a TP9sf great guns no issues with the magazines whatsoever as a matter of fact my everyday cary is the sf.
Thanks for a look at the Canik
I paid $330 bucks for my Canik Elite and its great out of the box. Good sights, real good trigger, 1500 rounds runs perfect so far. Its a better shooter than the Glock out of the box.
For $549 the Glock has shitty sights, a so-so trigger and plastic mags. If you spend $200+ more bucks on the Glock for some sights, springs, and a trigger upgrade its a fine pistol.
So IMHO why spend $500+ extra dollars just to say you have a Glock when you can have a great shooting pistol for $330? I still have my old Gen3 Glock19 that has Wolf springs, Trigicon sights, and an Apex trigger that I EDC'd for many years. I bought the Canik Elite and a Versa Carry Holster, it shoots every bit as well as my Glock straight out of the box and is my EDC now.
My advise is buy the Canik before the price goes up!!! They are awesome for the money right out of the box!!
The ONLY modification I have done to my Elite is I've sanded the frame to remove the "Springfield XD like" big block stippling down to real smooth finish and then I added Talon Grips tactical grip wrap. It was $17 bucks, fits perfectly, looks amazing, and adds about 200% more grip or more! I liked the stock finish just fine but I LOVE the feel now. To me its SO much better.
I LOVE my Canik now and I have $347 dollars invested. Just my 2 cents...;-) Im now a Canik Fanatic.
Price has kinda went up just a little from when I first learned about these caniks. I have not been able to get one yet but soon will
