the belanja/treat others is the tradition that malaysian called honoring the guest.. since you are a foreigner,coming to malaysia (our house), so it normal for the houseowner (local) to honor the guest by showing a hospitality such as treat food/drink..

I love Japan too. I had only been to Osaka, and still missing the experience. I just love Japan, the city, the people. the endless vending machines, etc. Japanese are honest and kind too, and also very very helpful. There was a guy who walked to a far away convenience store just to get information about how to get to Osaka Jo for me. I was surprised that he came back after 15 minutes with the information. Some had just came to me just to ask whether I am ok or not or need help. But come to think of it, most of the helpers are males. OMG! Would there be a pervert among them. Well! I guess not. Japanese men who had helped me seemed to be really kind. There are perverts too in Malaysia. I think they only messed with the Malaysian girls, they are afraid to disturb foreigners. The same as Japanese too. That's the reason why, I, in exchanged feel that japan is safe too. Anyway, tq for the good review about malaysia. Hope you will gain more good experiences in future. Bye!
