She was actually here on holidays from her home in Oregon, when she met Steve. They were together straight away as it was love at first sight and then they married. What's kind of ironic is Chandler was here holidaying and was at the zoo when he met Bindi, and the same thing happened.

It was on their show on Animal Planet, but do to that they got married at the beginning of the pandemic and the news’ helicopter was scaring the animals (they wanted the wedding to be in the African section of their zoo), the wedding itself because a tiny wedding indoors.
I say it every time I see this family, but … they are phenomenal! The way they interact with each other, support, tease (in the kindest way) and LISTEN to each other … it really should be how we interact with the whole of society.

Wow, I can't believe how fast our children grow, marry, and begin another chapter in their (adult) lives. Steve will most definitely be present...and crying at his baby girl "all growed up." Terri did a beautiful job. Congratulations to these lovely young adults. GOD bless the union of the two families.

So interesting that Terri talked about keeping a journal. I was compelled to do the same, and still continue 48 years later. Some of the things I have written, after reading them again, are amazingly profound. In a sense, it keeps me connected to myself, and I love it.All the best to Bindi and Chandler, Robert and Terri … such down to earth … real people.

Without a doubt, Steve was one of the most brave and adventurous souls of our time and yet very few of us probably considered how very courageous Terri is. We see it now. With superhuman strength, kindness, compassion and dignity. My heart breaks for her and yet I’m in awe of her.

Because he did not want his family to be overworked with all the physical challenges that he was going to have to live with for the rest of his life.
