It’s favorite match time with Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca and Gabby LaSpisa! They run down their respective lists and explain why they chose the matches they did. That means plenty of stories about Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, The Undertaker, Bret and Owen Hart, Thunder Rosa, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Hulk Hogan, the Stadium Stampede, Kevin Owens and the Festival of Friendship, Wrestlemania 3, Wrestlemania 25, and Eddie Guerrero and Art Barr in Mexico. And Jericho weighs in with details on what really happened behind the scenes before his big match with CM Punk at Wrestlemania 28. - Zábava
Ricky Steamboat walking into Wrestlemania 25 and casually having one of the best matches on the card alone is evidence of how good he is
The athleticism on display on the Savage / Steamboat WMIII match is to this day OFF THE CHARTS! Two of the greatest wrestlers AND athletes of all time meet on the biggest stage in their absolute prime. I still get shivers watching this match. Amazing!
Who doesn't love Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage Intercontinental Title match. Stole the show
In the long documentary of Macho Man's life, now on YT, they show the notepad with the order of moves in his match vs. Ricky at WM 3.
Randy would call up Hulk in the middle of the night to discuss choreography details sometime. That's how committed he was. His ambition was huge.
Wrestlemania 3 was the first year of PPV. It was called Viewers Choice. I recorded it on VHS.
I was there at the Silverdome and it was electric. As soon as the ref counted three, the crowd reaction was the best I ever seen live.
That match was spectacular
Steamboat is in my top 5, and has been for 30 years.
Wrestlemania III was on PPV where I lived. Viewer's Choice was the PPV service that carried it. I remember because it was on Channel 14 on my cablebox. They would air trailers all day long for the upcoming PPV events. Wrestlemania III, the Sugar Ray Leonard vs Marvelous Marvin Hagler Fight, and Aliens.
I didn't get to watch it because my mother wouldn't order it. She did however order the Leonard/Hagler fight. I couldn't watch THAT either because the house was full of grown-ups from all over the neighborhood and a few people brought some liquor and green recreational substances. *AHEM*
I was able to hear the fight from my bedroom though because the TV was right next to my wall. Good times :)
Jericho ur still one of my favorite wrestlers
Who is the chick in the thumbnail?
Its Gabby, the old producer from Busted Open.
That was my favorite match as a kid. Savage was such a master.
For a big guy, Randy's grace in standing on the top rope and jumping was amazing to me. The balance, and the knowing how to land without injury.
They practiced and memorized that match tons before that match..
Yeah, in the long doc on Savage, they showed the notes to the match. Surprised they didn't get hurt anyway. Looked like Macho cut his forehead, though. Ricky looked clean thanks to Macho's good technique.
