If you really want to impress someone, take the time to develop these skills, make some sort of small box, with your own hands, and give it to someone. Watch their expression upon receipt of the gift. It will be the only compensation you need! Beautiful work!

I think you should add a maker’s mark to the bottom for two reasons. First, anyone using it should know who made it. Second, when you open the drawer you want to make sure it’s right side up.
