Delivering a speech he wrote that morning, he said he would rather be “raw and real than polished and fake”.

Only issues, is if he has a contract that can cancel his concerts for any reason, or take his stage name. He can get a new stage name. He was probably smarter or not desperate to sign a contract like that.
Dave Chappelle got messed up by a contract, so he gets no money from Chappelle's show. He suspected it was bad contract. He openly slams them for it.
Look at Prince, he changed his name to "Artist Formerly Known As Prince" to get his newer work out of contracts.
