Why SPEED OF LIGHT May Actually Be WRONG | Nobody Has Actually Measured Light Speed

  • Hi friends, Gaurav here!! Do you know, no one has measured the speed of light, infact the value 3x10^8 m/s is also wrong. his is just not some random misleading fact, it has yet to be discovered. Because the speed of light we know is two-way speed of light and not one-way speed of light. Click on the video to understand why measurement of one-way measurement of lightspeed is impossible for scientists.

I believe I have a solution for the problem. You don't actually use a clock, but light itself. The key is interferometry. Instead of your normal double-slit experiment in which the laser beam enters through both slits simultaneously, you instead shine the beam parallel to the plane of the slits. This way one wave enters through one slit before the other, and you should be able to make predictions about the interference pattern that is made if light travels at a constant rate. This is using light to tell us if it is moving faster in one direction over the other by interfering with itself with a modification to the classic interferometer that treats light waves like water waves in which the two waves that exit from each slit will modify the interference pattern made depending on the one-way speed of said waves. I've tried this myself, and I don't see any difference between shining my laser parallel to the plane of the slits when doing in both directions. Should I be correct, then all it means is that the simplest convention is true, which is that light does travel the same in both directions.

Interesting perspective Gaurav! If we understand movement of light from point A to B vs B to A, probably it's difficult to hypothesize why the speed of light would be different in these cases given that it's travelling thr same medium and the same distance. So speed of light being different in opposite directions would still be an unproven assumption at best and difficult to disprove the entire experiment based on this assumption.
However, one perspective that could truly pressure test this is the frame of reference. When the speed if light is measured on earth, the average speed is taken assuming that the light is travelling the same distance back and forth based on observer from earth. Now even the earth isn't static and completes 1 rotation in 24 hours. For an observer from outside earth, the point A has itself moved a bit to A' by the time light reaches from its source. And even when the light returns to point B, it has moved to B' for the observer in space. So effectively for that observer, the speed of light would be different than 3 Lac km/s.
Biggest challenge is that it's impossible to define an absolute stationary object. This will always be relative.

I have an Idea if this works ?
Step 1: You throw the first light photon from location A to B and start a countdown timer in location A. Let's assume the clocks in locations A and B are not synchronized.
Step 2: After exactly 1 second of the first photon being thrown, you throw the second photon from location A. It's important to have precise timing to ensure a 1-second gap between the photon throws.
Step 3: The first photon reaches location B, and you start a countdown timer in location B to measure the time between the arrival of the photons.
Step 4: The second photon reaches location B, and you stop the countdown timer in location B.
Step 5: Now, you calculate the time difference between the first and second captured photons using the countdown timers.
Here's the analysis of the results based on the assumptions:
    - The countdown timer in location A would show 1 second when the second photon is thrown, as you started it exactly 1 second after the first photon was thrown.
    - The countdown timer in location B would show the time it took for the first and second photons to reach location B. If the time difference between the arrival of the first and second photons in location B is indeed 1.5 seconds, the countdown timer in location B would display that value.
By calculating the time difference between the first and second captured photons using the countdown timers, you would find that it is 1.5 seconds (the value shown on the countdown timer in location B).
Now, if we subtract the known time gap of 1 second (the time between the photon throws in location A) from the time difference of 1.5 seconds, we get 0.5 seconds.
Therefore, based on these assumptions, you can conclude that light takes approximately 0.5 seconds to travel from location A to location B in this specific setup.

So light may not have same speed as of A to B and B to A as we notice there is difference of time taken to travel same distance. So what causes the speed of light to change..they are in same medium, travelling between two fixed points. Light can't just change it's velocity itself right! If an object covers s distance from point a to b with the velocity of 3lakh km/s and returns with the same velocity then total distance covered =2s and time1 = s/3lakh time2 =s/3lakh then total time taken = 2s/3lakh. The avg velocity will be 2s/2s/3lakh. Upon solve this equation, the avg velocity will be 3lakh km/s. So why shall we consider 2 different velocities(4lakh km/s and 2.4lakh km/s) 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Studing for IIT ez 133km /h
Note avg velocity is not same as instantaneous velocity, the speed of light we calculate is avg , avg is defined for large distance which is not actual speed .
Eg , you are traveling 10 km by bike and you took 1 hour to travel so your avg speed is 10 km/h. But it is impossible to travel in constant speed of 10 km/h due to traffic 🚦 so you might have travel with 20 or you have stopped near signal which implies your actual speed was not 10,
Similarly speed of light is not completely accurate

133.33 Km/hr according to the eq. Avg speed = 2V¹V²/V¹+V²
    Prove -
Avg speed = Total distance travelled / Total time taken
    If the distance is d
And it covers two distances then it's 2d
Total time taken of object 1 is d/V¹ and d/V² for the other one according to s=d/t and on equating this we come to the conclusion of eq. 2V¹V²/V¹+V²

Please don't spread rumors According to Albert Einstein's theory of special relativity, the speed of light in a vacuum is the maximum possible speed in the universe. It is independent of the motion of the source of light or the observer measuring it. This means that regardless of how fast an observer is moving relative to a light source, they will always measure the speed of light as being approximately 299,792,458 meters per second.
The constancy of the speed of light in a vacuum is a fundamental principle that has been experimentally verified numerous times and forms the basis of our understanding of the behavior of light and the fabric of spacetime.
