  • The famous Buford! Sometimes I will tie it as a double, but here in Maine, our Muskie seem to favor smaller flies (6-8"). Most likely because the bait in our rivers is not as large as other Muskie areas throughout the country. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and please SUBSCRIBE!

QUESTIONG: Great video! What weight rod do you use to throw something this big?

I use at a minimum of a 9. You could get away with a stiff 8, but 9-11 are most comfortable

Id tie up a couple Black Bufords. Black seems to be the best color for the Saint John. Are you going with a Guide?

Keegan Austin No guide, we are going out on our own, we are going to hit either glacier lake, big black, little black, allagash, and St. John around allagash. Hopefully they are biting! Thanks for the all black tip!

@@MaineFlyGuys Ive fished Glazier the Allagash, and the lower Saint John around Grand Isle. On Glazier, the McPherson ponds are going to be your best bet. Theres some Giants in the Lower part of Glazier but its pretty slow fishing. The two upper ponds have a lot of structure.
