Actually I don't even know why they call these device steamdeck killer even tho steam deck is the weakest and has the most limitations that has only 800p its not even in my recommendations. As far as I know Ally, legon go, claw, ayaneo, gdp win, and onex player and the upcoming zotec is competing with each other and not the deck. Heck I'd pick any of those instead of deck. All these handhelds are already better than the deck so stop with the deck killer.
Anyone who owns a Steam Deck OLED or not, should be happy with their device. It will do anything they need it to do. That being said Its not the most powerful, but does that matter? I myself roll with the Lenovo Legion Go. Options do nothing but benefit gamers and damn is it a fantastic time to be a gamer. Ally X has my attention with the 24gb Ram.
I have a Steam Deck OLED and very happy with it! I just bought one for my girlfriend as well. Not sure about this one but in my research between all the different handhelds it seems like the Steam Deck has the most reliable sticks and buttons. I got the impressions from people's reviews that the Steam Deck sticks and controllers seem to be official XBox or PlayStation controllers but the others seem to be more like those unofficial cheap controllers that only last a few weeks. I have only used the Steamdeck but I am happy with it. One annoying thing is that many games aren't compatible on the Steam Deck but I wonder whether they would be compatible on one of the others.
Yes some games are not compatible with steam but you can make them with driver updates and tweaks. I just ordered this device myself and I also have a steam deck but having windows for other non compatible steam deck games is a plus and the horse power is also a plus
Theres two kinds of people. People who dont mind not having an oled screen and find other aspects of the device better for their needs.. and the other people, who are right.
At this point people that love steam deck will never admit that something else is better.. only problem with this is the price 799$ for a handheld is a lot yea I know they improve the specs but they should at least have a 599$ option with 512GB and a 799$ one with 1TB. Forcing everybody to pay 799$ if they want the ally x is crazy.
Most people that love the Steamdeck love the ease of use and how dummy proof it is. For very casual gamers it is probably the best device. I own a Steamdeck and love it, but I also ordered an ally x. Steamdeck is great but is limited by power and versatility. It is still a great value though, not to mention Valve support is probably the best that you can get.

Retroid and others have advanced a lot since and the rp4 pro is a great device. I actually use my ally plus rp4 pro as my go to devices when travelling and the deck not so much

@portfoliocollection8072 Steam Deck OLED gonna be around $650 and Ally X is $800 so if you can put extra $150 and get the Ally X I think it’s worth the investment because Asus is a big deal in gaming industry and Asus has fixed most of the issues we had with Original Ally and Ally X has 24GB of RAM with 1TB SSD and Steam Deck only has 8GB RAM.
@@oasthar Well I'm planning on buying the original Rog ally. Where I live i can grab a used one for around 450-500 USD. Which is basically the price of new steam deck lcd model. One thing that I've heard that Rog ally gets too hot when runs for several hours, and also saw that the there is issue with the sd card slot being damaged . so should be concerned about these or is it not that common..
Nothing will never come close to being a steam deck killer If they price their handhelds at 800-1000.

The screen on the Rog Ally was already very good, so going OLED and sacrificing VRR would have been a bad idea.

Original is great and plays all the stuff my deck is unable to do and then some
