Without a doubt, this year will be worse than the last. Thank you, one can use XLK for balancing a portfolio while regularly looking at its trend, I expect the technology sector to remain strong for about 10 years , for now XLK seems in a good useful position

Does this mean buying XLK should be bought before the reconstitution?
The rule derived from 1940 act as deciphered by CHAT GPT IS as under
When each holding exceeds 5% of the AUM all such holdings collectively cannot exceed 50%
The second rule is remaining holding cannot exceed 5% in each holding.
Applying these 2 rules only 3 companies exceed 5% and collectively are at 49.44%.
All other companies are under the 5%.
Yes NVDA & MSFT in short term trading are near each other besides occasional spurt by N.
Most likely apple is lagger to these 2 in short term 5 days trading. So AI must been have programmed to adjust so it does not exceed 50%. With 3 stock small daily dumping is not going to be noticed by market as nothing but noise. Unless NVDA shoots again as it has shown tendencies in last 6 months!
Well if you trim the smallest ones first, then you miss out on profits from their growth so I don’t see the benefit of this kind of strategy. Also, XLK wouldn’t be protected against the situation where a top stock in the sector suddenly loses substantial value. Am I missing something?

Well, It doesn't look like XLK bought $11B worth of NVDA as the stock continued its down turn on Friday. In fact, NVDA went down over 3% and AAPL only declined at about 1%.
they did buy Nvidia and dump Apple, look at their holdings now, 20.7% Nvidia, 4.5% Apple
It’s a great ETF, but it’s a lot of money per share and it’s just not enough dividend per share. I had it for a long time and then moved on.

Wow this method is stupid. Not surprised I easily outperformed this ETF by simple random buying of AAPL, ASML, AVGO, MSFT, NVDA, TSLA and TSM last 10+ years..
