@@FoxyGoddess_why are you considering moving out of prosper? Just curious â€
@@Segunandlilian well, mostly because itâs too far from work.

Melissa is the location of the regional landfill. Do not move there if you dont like bad smells. No one talks about this.
i live here, not noticeable really. theyâll move it soon
Im đ hahahaha i lived there my WHOLE life, only once in a blue moon would the landfill have a smell and it was short lived. I honestly cant even remember the landfill being there till i read your comment đ
Im laughing because i live in Amarillo now and it smells like a feedlot for hundreds of miles most days of the year. You should walk outside and smell fresh morning air⊠instead itâs usually đ đ©
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Melissa smells amazing.
My only gripe is its way too crowded now with new people moving in over the years. It has lost the historic charm it once had đđ„șđą
Just bought a home in Melissa. We close towards the end of June 2023. Where are the $400,000 homes? Lol. Everything we saw was 500 and 600K
Unionmain has homes starting in the 400âs and mertiage homes were in that range too. Others builders have homes starting in the mid 400s. Those are just two on top of my head that I can remember. Obviously depends on sqft rooms etc but it doesnât mean you didnât see them that they donât exist.
What about the smell people complain about. Have you observe the smell your self?
Comfortable? Laid back? RURAL?!? đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Maybe in 2000 not now⊠not even closeâŠ
Im from Melissa, left in 2011 after living there nearly my whole life. Its not as great as it used to be. Its cram packed, not even enough room to turn around. It breaks my heart. Used to be so calm and peaceful
The whole town used to be able to fit in one bathroom in buckees. Im actually not exaggerating. Population was less than 1500. I miss it. I still have dreams about how it used to be, about my childhood. Just breaks my heart. Now I understand those country songs about how old towns changed so much.
Melissa used to be the place that was too far of a commute for most so everyone went to frisco, then finished up Allen, Plano has been growing the entire time since I can remember due to proximity to Dallas. Then Californians made Frisco unaffordable so Melissa, Anna, etc became the next target to pretty much get defaced. Even places like Sachse and Wylie are getting overloaded, they were a little more immune due to not having as easy of a straight shot commute to Dallas. It hurts my heart. These all used to be tiny little towns you could just drive and visit family and make a day trip, enjoy the country, now you just get stuck in traffic everywhere đ traffic is why i left the area. I loved being able to breathe, i never wanted to spend my life in traffic.
I mean fairview was hardly even a place, it was a patch of grass between melissa and allen.
So was frisco. A field with enough space to build a mall and a couple restaurants now its just unrecognizable.
It's called change sweetheart. Lol it happens. Things won't ever stay the same
We smell something bad in Melissa , no idea what it is
It is the landfill, it is horrible. What community do you live in?
@@michellewarren8213itâs actually the feed lot.
that would concern me
@@michellewarren8213I think the smell is from the feeder?
