    I have never used dry erase and prefer sharpies, but this video is fantastically detailed and informative. This info is crucial and I am better informed now about my options!

    I found you can erase a Sharpie/Mark it! too if you use an alcohol based disposable eyeglass wipe. I haven't had any issues with it weakening the balloon either as I originally thought it might.

      Excellent! I'll have to add a box of alcohol pads to my kit!

    Hello I'm planning on using balloons to make stress balls as a DIY, I was wondering if the sharpie rubs off on your hands after they dry is you mess with the balloons enough? Also thank you your videos have been very helpful.

    • @MrBomasBalloons
      @MrBomasBalloons  Před 5 lety +1

      On an inflated balloon, the sharpie does not rub off unless you use alcohol. But, like I said in the video, once the balloon deflates, then the sharpie does come off. Because a stress ball will be mostly deflated, but will stretch in some places and then compress back, the sharpie may come off. But I honestly don't know. You would have to give it a try to find out for sure. Thanks for watching!

    Do sharpie colors work on a black balloon? LIke to draw a face on a black balloon for Batman? Or the yellow insignia on his chest? Thanks!

      The neon ones probably do, but I haven't tried them.

    The Sharpie White paint pen is very similar to the Eddings you show. You have to shake and push the tip in and out to get it saturated. But the coverage is excellent. FYI you might want to NOT promote Hobby Lobby these days. Michaels, Jo-Anns, Walmart and Staples all treat their employees much better.

    • @MrBomasBalloons
      @MrBomasBalloons  Před 10 lety +1

      I totally agree 100%. I don't shop at Hobby Lobby personally. I just pulled a name out of thin air, and it happened to be them. Probably because they have been in the news so much lately.

    Mr. Boma,
    I'm sorry, I watched your video earlier today. Did you mention which markers you use personally? I've been thinking about switching from Clickable Sharpies to Expo Click.

    • @MrBomasBalloons
      @MrBomasBalloons  Před 10 lety

      I use all of these, but mostly the Sharpies.

    • @warlockboy
      @warlockboy Před 10 lety

      What do you think about me making the switch and why?

    • @MrBomasBalloons
      @MrBomasBalloons  Před 10 lety

      Paul Sheppard - Give them a try. If you don't like them, switch back. I find Expo coverage isn't as good as sharpie, but it does have some benefits, like erasability.

    • @warlockboy
      @warlockboy Před 10 lety +2

      Mr. Boma's Balloons I'm not really worried about erasabiliy, I'm worried about the Sharpies re-liquifying.
      I only really do line-work style twisting. The longest balloons I make take about 4 or 4.5 minutes and those are long for me. I was worried about time, since I've sworn onto Clickable Sharpies for speed, but since I can order Expo Click... why not? I think being safer and not getting sharpie ink on you is better than being water soluble (as dry-erase can wash off).

      Doing parties, carnivals, festivals, farmers markets, working restaurants, busking, etc. Events like parties are usually the most lucrative. But balloon decor is the most lucrative.
