Everything from Ayreon blows your mind. It blows your mind!!
It often 'did'.....and now it's 'lost and gone'....................into Ayeron's Universe!
Fish, Anneke, Simone, Ed, Joost, Love it, and John de Lancie (Q) as the narrator !!
Yup, Q as narrator. That's badass.
Amazing...also not forgetting the incredible Damian Wilson!
@@aleksanderdomanski222 He's just himself, an all powerful being that plays tricks on humans. 😁
More Ayreon please.
"That man who just sang..." is Damian Wilson.

Actually that narrator (John deLancie) played the part of Q in Start Trek Next Gen, and played on Broadway as well as many other well-known theatres, so he's quite a highly revered actor indeed!
He has his own youtube channel that has like 3 videos but one of them is him making pizza with Robert Picardo and it's so entertaining.
And there is Fish. The old singer/composer from the best band I know: Marillion. Crazy good symphonic rock band that started in the 1980's. Still love your vibe people, keep it up.
This concert was the entire 'Into The Electric Castle' album and a selection songs from other Arjen Lucassen projects. It's an amazing piece of work and it's a shame they didn't tour it across Europe. But I guess getting some of these singers for that period of time would be impossible.
Arjen Lucassen is the second mastermind in Europe the first is Tuomas Holopainen from Nightwish! Ayreon is epic! All years before sch.. corana came was a big festival in Tilburg! Ayreon is a project it comes together the best actors and create amazing shows. I recommend you to show and listen the electric castel, the source and so on.
Wooh! I was theeeeere! xD
I stood next to one of the cameras up on the balcony and it was surreal to see Ayreon live (first time for me).
One of the very best concerts I've ever been to!
Loved the video, you guys are amazing.
I was by the bar, about half way back on Joost's side. Entire show was mesmerizing. Felt like Damian met with the entire city of Tilburg after the show
I was there too !!!! Ayreon family !!! Best concert of my life for sure... :D
I was at the first row holding a Bolivian flag, it was the best experience of my life.
you lucky girl
Hey, folks, I was there too, it was my very first experience of such a big show! And it’s a pity, that I couldn’t stay for this last show, which was recorded.
Travis, Suzie, you rock!
This is music at its best! Can't get any better!
Ayreon live concerts are awesome... i really want one day i could be there
Holy Shit! It's Q!!!! that's amazing! for the non trekkies, that's John de Lancie as the Narrator! he played an omnipotent, all-powerful alien that tormented the crew, particularly Captain Picard. Simone looking and sounding amazing as always! Sir James, wielding his sword! Joost on the keys, Ed behind the drums. Anneke!!! i see Marcella one of the backups, don't recognize the others, or the 1st and 3rd gentlemen. don't know the bald guy or the one in the glasses. i need more Ayreon in my music library.
I can help with some of this. The bald Roman guy is Edwin Balogh. Marcela is indeed one of the backup singers, along with Dianne van Giersbergen (no relation to Anneke) The Knight is Damien Wilson, who was also heavily involved in the Aryeon Universe shows. The older man in the vaguely Scottish outfit is the Highlander. His name is Fish. Hope that helps a bit. And you are also correct, that was Q narrating the whole thing!
Sir James is Damian Wilson 😉
Jepp, That's Q. He added so much to the concert, as he rewote the narration parts, put them as poems. That was really amazing. Gave a fresh twist to an album I knew for 20 years.
Fun fact John de Lancies wife wrote the text for the naration.
You might be suprised who is narating the latest album , also a big name in sci-fi.
The man in glasses is Fish ex-marilion. .
And these are not even all the singers there are atleast 3 to 4 more.
Arjen Lucassen is a massive Trekkie and he said that he always looked forward to the Q episodes. So getting the actor who played him was a huge deal.
also one of the backup singers is Irene Jansen Floor's Little Sister
Annekeeee!!!
Dianne from Ex Libris is 1 of the back up singers and her fellow band mates Joost keyboards and Bob the short haired guitarist.
Epica Simone and Mark. Mark is a Demon with face paint on.
I love Simone's look and makeup in this performance :D
Great stuff. I always watch when Ayreon is reacted to! Thanks.
Never knew Fish got involved in this project..big fan here from Marillion with Fish and his solo work...love this🤘❤️
he was one of the the original singers on electric castle album
Might be one of the greatest lyricists and emotional singers I've ever heard. What an incredible talent. Of course, Arjen would call him ... he only calls the best.
Thank you for reacting to this piece of prog masterwork
Gotta love Everything Ayreon!!!Narrator= American Actor John de Lancie - Days of Our Lives, Star Trek, Star Gate 1, Breaking Bad... Etc.
Anneke did a GREAT version of Valley of the Queen's during this concert. Also check out Damion Wilson's (the guy dressed as knight) version of Twisted Coil
+1 for Twisted Coil!
This is a clip from the beginning of the story of Into The Electric Castle, to understand the whole here is a description of the story:
The story begins with a strange voice (John de Lancie) calling out to the eight characters that are taken from various planes of time. The mysterious voice tells them they are in a place of "no-time and no-space". Urging them to continue, the voice gives them a task: to reach The Electric Castle and find out what's inside.
After various steps, they come to the Decision Tree where the voice tells them one of them must die. They must then go through the Tunnel of Light, but the Highlander (Fish) refuses to reach the light, stays behind, accepts his death slowly, and lays himself down to die while the others continue. Then in the Garden of Emotions, the Egyptian (Anneke van Giersbergen), overwhelmed by her emotions, becomes convinced that Amon-Ra is coming to seal her fate.[ She loses her will to continue and wanders alone until she lays herself down and dies as well.
The surviving characters finally reach the Electric Castle, penetrating the Castle Hall. On the Tower of Hope a breeze draws the attention of the Indian (Simone Simons) , luring her away towards the sun despite the warning of the Knight (Damian Wilson) and the Futureman (Edward Reekers). On the breeze, she encounters Death ( Mark Jansen and George Oosthoek) itself who takes her while she screams.
The characters then come to their final test: the voice tells them that beyond them stand two gates, with one of them leading to oblivion and the second to the desired time of the heroes. One of the gates is old, deteriorated, and ugly, and the other made of gold and appears at first glance to be paradise. The Barbarian (Jay van Feggelen), in his arrogance and pride, walks through the golden gate in spite of his companion's choice, and falls into oblivion forever.
Finally, the Knight, the Roman (Edwin Balogh), the Hippie (Arjen Anthony Lucassen) and the Futureman, who had chosen the right gate, discover the true nature of the voice: it is called "Forever of the Stars", and claims that its kind is an alien race who lost all emotions. It also claims its kind caused the emergence of humanity on Earth, and that the eight heroes were in an experiment in understanding and/or rediscovering emotions. Feeling tired, the voice tells them to go on ahead and open the door, and that they won't remember what has happened.
Back in their real time, the heroes all wonder what has happened, with the Hippie asking himself if this journey was the result of his drug abuse, the Futureman wondering if his memory has been erased, the Roman feeling stronger and the Knight thinking he found the Grail in a magic dream. The voice of the Forever of the Stars is then heard, asking them all to remember Forever.
Great job summarizing the story so well!
Excellent. Just one thing: The Egyptian has packed her demise in a song called Valley of the Queens, Far too beautiful to be omitted.
I guess you know you've made it as a vocalist if Arjen asks you to feature..the guy's a genius!
"the narrator probably does theatre for a living" :) He's John deLancie from Star Trek
Simone Simons being awesome as usual :)
I'm a simple man.
I see Ayreon, I click, I watch, I like.
You should check out The Day That The World Breaks Down, from Aryeon Universe!🤘🎸
The Knight is Damien Wilson of the band Threshold.
Ayreon Dutch master of music !!!
The new Mozart
john de lancie! he played Q in Star Trek the next gen.. omg.. come on! Also, the voice of Chaos in my little ponies lol..
Fish wasn't expecting that saw him with Marillion back in the 80s during the Fugazi and Misplaced childhood tours 84 and 85 I think.
It's always nice to return to the Electric Castle! The bringing this to life as a stage show was so cool and it will be interesting to see if he moves any of the other albums to the stage as well. We now have two with this and The "Theatre Equation" which is the live show of the Human Equation, so I think he might have the bug for doing these as live shows...at least I hope he has :D
This is ne of my favourites, the narrator is Q from Startrek Next gen.. Into The Electric Castle Album is brilliant, give it a listen if you can.
ISIS AND OSIRIS? I liked first and then watched
Must do Ayreon trauma, beneath the waves, ride the comet
If you react to "Garden of Emotions (Electric Castle Live and Other Tales)" you'll get the three remaining vocalists from this album.
I was at this show as well, in the first couple rows. Made the trip from the States, and it was so worth it. Easily in the top 5 concerts of my 30+ years of going to shows, and I could possibly even place it right at the top.
That's just insane to make a trip to Tilburg from the states to see a concert. I agree, if there's one concert worth it.
You need to see Floor's performance of this with Star One live. Damien Wilson, Russell Allen & Floor Jansen.
Always felt that Into The Electric Castle would make a great laser light show.
Love Fish and Marillion. When I see or hear Fish I hear "Misplaced Childhood", one of my most favourite albums. Simply brilliant!!
Wow. I think this silenced you guys a bit, lol. And you possibly didn't even realise who all of those great artists are while you have seen most of them in quite a few other performances you checked out before. Like, Simone, Fish, Ed, Joost, ... well you recognised Anneke so that's a +1. :^)
Thanks to Rolf for the request and I do hope Wolfhunterz will spend some time digging into Arjen's track record and any related musicians and collaborations. I bet it won't be long before we get to experience more of his magic. Enjoy folks!
Seen this song played live by Arjen Anthony Lucassen's Star One (featuring Floor Jansen). Great song. Great performance this.
at the beginning of Into the Electric Castle there were 8 but one had to die right off and 2 more also through trials failed before this point I believe leaving 5 If I recall only 4 end the journey alive
Do you recognize John De Lancie? He played the character of Q on Star Trek "The Next generation". This whole show is amazing and so much fun.
That man was Damian Wilson
I didnt think it could get better than the original star one, but this is amazing :)
Travis, Cosmic Fusion from Electric and other Tales Live. Growl battle with Simone singing.
🖤🖤🖤 SIMONE SIMONS 🖤🖤🖤
You guys know who Fish is... right? Right!?
Fish actually does 'Kayleigh' during this concert. They kind of had to twist his arm to do it, though. He was bit reluctant at first, but it's such a classic tune.
@@one-eye1721 CZcams took it down on the playlist. The playlist has only 15 songs on it grrrr
@@NeeceLoneWolf Marillion's record company must have given it a copyright strike.
@@one-eye1721 I know, I was there ;-)
@@one-eye1721 glad I have the DVD!!
Was that Q (from ST TNG) doing the intro?!?
Yes, that's Q !
He is the narrator for the whole show and did a fantastic job.
Hello Wolf Hunterz.....please react to this awesome vid...it will blow your mindz...Nine Inch Nails 'Disappointed' (VEVO PRESENTS)
