Thanks for reacting to my song suggestion, glad you enjoyed it. I liked the Universe DVD so much I wrote to Arjen to tell him that, Amazingly he wrote me a nice message back a few days later! A very humble and nice man who writes great music.
Arjen Lucassen is a genius. Everything he does. Ayreon is a project, different singers, different musicians.
The female in the leather is Magy Luyten from Nighmare. The male singer is the one and only Damian Wilson.
Wilson has so much a smooth voice.
Damian is one my favorite singers of all times. Such a powerful and sweet voice!

Peter Vink was base player of the sixties band Q65.
The middle singer of the backing group is Lisette van den Berg from the recent band Scarlet Stories. You really should listen to them.

The right one is Marcela Bovio, ex Stream of Passion singer. Current band MaYaN. Both interesting bands too.

Joost was Knighted by the King of the Netherlands. So, he is Sir Joost!
Peter Vink, born in 1949, adds a load of experience to Knight Area. Already at young age occupied with making music, he achieved great successes with various bands. He obtained the degree “pop music teacher” at the Rotterdam Conservatory and became music history and pop music teacher at the Fontys College in Tilburg. Peter is also producer/studio engineer and teaches bass guitar.
Peter’s musical career starts in 1960 with North Stars and continues in 1965 with Q65. Both bands achieve great success. Several songs, among them “The Life I Live”, remained in the charts for weeks. The band lead a restless life, but nevertheless sold out frequently.
As of 1969, Peter plays for three years with the formation Big Wheels, and manages to reach the charts also with this group. In 1974, Peter becomes one of the co-founders of Finch. Also this formation achieves successes, both with record sales and live concerts. Finch has a brief successor with Livin’ Blues. In 1982, Peter starts a new band with Mirjam van Doorn: The Boxx. The single “I Need A Love” becomes a big hit and band plays with Joe Cocker, Meatloaf and Vandenberg. After nearly 10 years, Peter commits himself to the tribute band The Renegades. The band doesn’t last long and with some other people he starts the band Veralin. With this band he releases one album, at which Arjan Lucassen plays the guitar parts. After having been briefly active with Omsk, Peter is asked to join Arjan Lucassen’s Star One as bass player. With this band he tours the whole of Europe, and Peter cooperates on a total of 5 albums by Ayreon and Star One. After a short period in Thin Lizzy Tribute Band (2005) and HDK (2007), Peter joins Knight Area in January 2013.
Peter’s gear: Hevos and Sansamp, ADA , Moog Minitaur, Yamaha, Mike Lull, Fender basses.

Since I don't see it mentioned in other comments: this song is based on the UK 1978-81 TV series 'Blake's 7', in which freedom fighter (or terrorist?) Roj Blake (sung here by Magali 'Maggy' Luyten) leads a band of escaped criminals (and rogue AI computers) including fraudster Kerr Avon (Damian Wilson) aboard the spaceship _Liberator_ in a struggle against The Federation, a repressive dictatorship headed by the lovely but murderous Servalan.
Arjen must have been a big fan, because his performing band Star One (several regular members featured here) is named after the Federation's secret computer control HQ.
The name Ayreon, came about, i think, because English speaking people would pronounce his name this way........ His name is Arjen.
Ayreon is Dutch, but guys, it isn’t necessary to smoke our weed before doing this reaction..... jeeeezzzzz, you guys 😜

Synergistic- Yesterday, I was thinking that this was a cool word. I still think that it is. But, intergalactic probably beats it.
again I like that you do not pick "the usual Ayreon stuff everyone reacts to" and I gave a like for that. I want to point out that the "original" live version with "Ayreon-Star One Live" with Damian and Russel Allen is on youtube and it is AWESOME. Even if you do not react to it, go listen to it, you will like it :)
