Pra Nakorn Overture : Tales from Bangkok’s Old Town composed by Rung-Radis Chanchampa

เมื่อลมหนาวพัดมาเยือนในช่วงปลายปี ย่านเมืองเก่าใจกลางกรุงเทพมหานครอย่างเขตพระนคร มักเป็นตัวเลือกยอดนิยมที่ผู้คนจะพากันไปพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ สนามหลวง แม่นํ้าเจ้าพระยา วัดวาอาราม พระราชวัง โบราณสถานและสถานที่สําคัญต่าง ๆ เหล่านี้จึงได้เกิดเป็นแรงบันดาลใจในการประพันธ์เพลงขึ้นมา โดยได้นําความรู้สึกเมื่อครั้งไปเยือนสถานที่เหล่านั้นมาถ่ายทอดเป็นท่วงทํานอง ความรื่นรมย์ ความประทับใจ ความเงียบสงบ ความเหงาและความเศร้า ประพันธ์สําหรับวงคอนเสิร์ตแบนด์ขนาดกลาง มีความยาก-ง่าย อยู่ในระดับกลาง

“Phra Nakorn Overture : Tales from Bangkok’s Old Town” was inspired by an atmosphere of Bangkok Downtown Winter. An architecture in this old city has own style with unique characteristics, such as the landscape of Chao Phraya River, many old temples along the River banks, palaces and historic buildings. All materials in the music showed how the composer felt deeply impressed by Bangkok’s old Town. He presented his playing technics in level of middle size concert band.
