There are many versions of sweet and sour chicken. This easy sweet and sour chicken recipe of mine is so delicious and easy to follow. Sweet and sour chicken is one of the most popular Chinese recipes. To make a great sweet and sour sauce, the ketchup, sugar, and vinegar must be the same amount. I did not add pineapples in this recipe, you may add it if you wish.
COOKING TIPS:
0:43 - The baking powder makes the batter light and airy and the chicken will be extra crispy.
2:07 - The heated oil must be hot enough to fry the chickens. If the oil is not hot enough, the chicken will absorb oil and will become soggy (refer to the video for tips)
2:37 - Fry the chicken in batches. Do not fry all at one time.
2:59 - 1 Cup = 250 ml
TSP = Teaspoon
TBSP = Tablespoon

So delicious!! Made this recipe twice, came out perfect each time as it is now a family favorite. Very versatile as you can use any vegetable or fruit tehe. First time I used bell peppers as instructed and the second time i tried pineapple chunks yum!!😇

No that's not a good idea. It makes the fried chicken soggy and defeats the purpose. Dry batter is better.
