I thought this would make a good tutorial seeing I wasn't sure on a few things and I wanted people to know how it can all change up in a New York minute. 🤣🤣 I wish I could have used more DD images but felt the spools of thread were perfect for this. Great collage Barbie. I am so glad you used the ornament as the torch light. When you laid it up there earlier in the video I said YES! The thread spools make excellent “vases”. And tucking the skyline back behind the spools, perfection. I really love this one. That is a beautiful photo of Lady Liberty too. Have a great week. 🥰

You’ve done another lovely, unique collage! Using the ornamental item for the torch was brilliant! I looked into Marguerite Miller, a little more because all I knew of her was your collages and purchased the prompts for this year. Maybe I’ll do a video this week instead of a short.

Thank you very much for your lovely comment. I really enjoy using DD images and can usually find what I'm looking for. Obviously, I substitute if I can't and I'm now changing up a prompt or two if they don't work out. In the later weeks, some of the prompts don't excite me so I'm giving myself creative liscense for a more enjoyable video and lesson for my viewers. Have a wonderful week and thank you again. 💞💚💞

Thank you for showing is your proces! Last week I was lost in my magazines, could not find, could not decide, it just wasn't what I wanted. And sometimes things like ornate couldn't be translate properly into a dutch word. so this was very helpful. Blessings from the Netherlands.
You are very welcome and I'm so happy you found this video helpful. Sometimes you have to step away for a while, let your mind wander and go back to the prompts. This doesn't happen quickly........sometimes I'm sitting at my table for hours looking through magazines, changing my mind, putting new meaning to the prompts. There are days where I have felt I've wasted so much time on 4 or 5 little words, I question myself as to why I do it. 😱🤣😱 I'm always up for a challenge, however, remember this........... the prompts are there for you to get started and a guide (that's my belief) if you need to change out 1 or 2 words, then do it. Collages are suppose to be fun, relaxing and enjoyable. When collaging becomes work and filled with frustration, move on ............. do not let it get the better of you. I've recently put MM collages together only using 2 of the prompts, they just don't excite me ........... I want to have fun and I want my viewers to be empowered and encouraged.......not discouraged. Blessings from the States and thank you so much for your comment. Sometimes, people don't know where to star and don't think they can change it up or go in a different direction, they cant wrap their mind around it. You are such a blessing to me and my channel, thank you so much for your support and wonderful, kind comments. I believe it's Unsplash. I usually use The Commons on Flicker. I love your channel. I am new to collage and I don’t know what Daphne‘s diary is. I googled it and it looks like there are calendars and journals etc. But your featuring the magazine. I’m in California is this a magazine subscription that you get a new one monthly?
Good morning! I'm so glad you left a wonderful comment and asked your question. DD magazine has beautiful images in it and I've been wanting to wrk with them for along time. I have 4 or 5 issues, not too many due to the expense. In the states they are $17.95 🙊 You can get a subscription, but I'm not sure how fast you would receive them, I beleive they are a UK published magazine. My Barnes and Nobel Bookshop carries them, so when someone has a flip through of the new book, I'll watch and see if there are enough images for me to use. Then, I head to the book store and take a look in person. If I can use 3/4 of the book, I'll make the purchase. The books do not come out every month. I think they come out every other month ....... but I'm not sure. They go by number 1, 2, 3 etc. If you could get a hold of a past years calendar, I'm sure the images in that would be wonderful too. 🌼💞🌼 I hope I explained it well to you.
