Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) activates the power within his ring and speaks the oath of the Green Lantern Corps. Meanwhile, Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard) inspects the alien corpse of Abin Sur.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. THIS should have been the start of the DCEU. Although I can't imagine a world where Ryan never played Deadpool.

RYAN REYNOLDS MIGHT!
There is nothing like that on any superhero movie, comic or animation. It is just like a prayer only meant to shine the darkest hours. Even saw him doing it without the ring so powerful it is.
The oath in any type of cinema gives me chills.
Hell yea. And one day soon we'll get a great Green Lantern movie so we all can cheer in the theaters

I have it on blue ray and 3D
It also came in the normal DVD format. The blue ray is extended and the 3D one has a Behind the effects but in 3D. It also came with a code to get Sinestro Corps Batman for PS3. God I wish there was a sequel. I actually enjoyed this movie.

I saw it at the cinema. It’s a pretty good movie, Ryan Reynolds is a superb actor and Blake Lively is hotter than a Lantern battery.

G.L. was introduced in the 1940's...almost 80 years ago.
I am impressed by the superhero culture today with the expansion of universes,
And multiple story lines.
Remember back in the 40's to almost the mid 50's no television ....or cable or internet.
I do enjoy the newer superheroes.
Fantastic 4 and Spider Man, Thor and so on.
A friend of mine's son offered a ride home to his grandfather's friend.
He accepted, he was quietly overwhelmed.
The shock was on his face, when the grandfather said at a stop sign...I never thought I would see the day...A man on a bicycle talking on the phone...

An Underrated Favorite & Superhero Movie. His suit was Great! (People forgot a Lanterns Suit is comprised entirely of Energy from the Ring)
I like Green Lantern better then the Dead Pool movies.
I believe Ryan Reynolds personality fit Dead Pool better but I wish they made him more serious like Cap or CWs Arrow for the movie but overall a great Hal Jordan/Green Lantern.
*Also, making fun of the Green Lantern movie in Dead Pool was petty and corny, in my opinion

1:52 is the part you are looking for. I didn't like how the movie was done, but I liked most of this scene. (remove some comedy) If anyone were to get a ring, you'd end up pissed wondering what the oath was, you'd eventually touch the Lantern. Then you'd learn it and say it in a special way as it is important and the first time. Just like in the scene here. It was well done and saying it, he did it well.
he looks like a good green lantern, it's just his acting comes off as trying comedy at every turn
