  • The poster boys for Australia's deadly reputation are, of course, its big predators. Yet even these killing machines, which have evolved their skills over millions of years, may hold the key to medical breakthroughs.
Dr. Kelly Strzepek lifts the lid on the secrets of Australia's deadliest predators as she swims with great white sharks, milks funnel web spiders and goes snorkelling with some bizarre underwater predators, famed for their deadly venom.

No, not just of serious crimes. The worst of the worst were taken to small islands in the bays and ports once they were semi established and not often mixed in with those who committed less violent crimes.
The records of the passengers, convicts, and crew of the prison ships are available online per the respective states (as they're currently named). Those records include names, crime they're convicted of and duration of their sentence, age, dates of arrival, country of birth and where they committed their crimes and where it applied date of death and cause, as well as the name of the ship they arrived on and where.
There were teens who stole bread that were sent here to carry out their sentence. Hardly a 'serious' crime.

I love it when scientists/reporters say we shouldn’t associate fear with sharks. Even though they witness these predators behind cages and screens. I’m out surfing on the water, by myself almost everyday. Even though I tell myself the worst thing to do is panic. Whenever I spot a large shark stalking behind me, I panic and head for the sand as quickly as possible. I guarantee you that these same reporters/scientists would react the same and would be constantly scanning the water in fear of being attacked, next they go in. To experience being stalked and considered pray gives you a new perspective of fear. These predators aka sharks, should be feared, and only those who have experienced being prey will understand.

    • @gooddreams8495
      @gooddreams8495 Před 3 lety +2

Even if sharks are not as "evil" as we made them out to be, like they don't attack humans cause we are not their choice of food, they are still predators and even if they hurt us by accident or whatever, they do not feel bad. Better safe then sorry, if they do attack us, the consequence will be severe, regardless of whether the possibility is high or not.
So we should still be cautious around them.

@@martynohara8101Bears, wolves, and mountain lions only live in very remote wilderness areas, and even then only in certain regions. Even where I live in southern California (where we have rattlesnakes), you have to really go out to the middle of nowhere in the desert to encounter a rattlesnake. I have NEVER seen any anywhere near the city. But I have heard of highly venomous spiders in Sydney, and people getting body slammed by kangaroos at golf courses 😂

    • @martynohara8101

@ct92404 spiders and snakes are easy to live with when using common sense we have red bellied black snakes ocassional in our back yard so we just tap the bushes around the pool to make sure there are no surprises. Australia is safe, I have seen videos with bears and mountain lions in people's backyards in the USA. I get our some of our animals extremely venomous but it is easy to be a little wary and avoid them. Nothing on land ( away from Northern rivers) is going to hunt you down and eat you. It is a very safe and beautiful country - leave the roos alone and they will leave you alone.

I m convinced that science's future is in Australia: less contaminated by political, Hierarchical, and economic contaminations than the USA and European Academies, its researchers could be much freer to pursue the reality of Phenomena. I remember very meaningful examples: the Homo Florensis controversy, which made American Professors turn red with rage and making fool of themselves insulting the Australian founder. I have also the controversy of Nanobacteria, with the same polemical and insulting corollary as the Hobbit: The Australian ladies were absolutely right, but I didn't hear much anymore.I have to take a look at the topic again.....

God is definitely the ultimate designer. Therefore, he has also created systems which can also design and evolve on their own. Like us.

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. It's not about following the law - perfectly, as it's impossible - it's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER

Hell doesn't exist. The Bible tells us that God despises the idea of making people suffer, especially in fire. He also says the soul is not immortal. You are teaching pagan beliefs, masquerading as a Christian...
