Disasi had one of his best matches and Chelsea had their chances too. But like Haaland couldn’t finish them.
The fact that he is worth half as much as Caicedo is even more surprising.
That's literally the whole game summed up
@@dataflick6582
'Akanji would still be the free man. However of the 4, he's clearly the worst on the ball. So Chelsea would not mind him getting onto it.' 💀
😂😂
Though I’ve noticed if you have a quick transition from defense to attack, City struggle. But I wonder why Poch can’t always tell his team to have such quick transitions. Today every move into City box seemed dangerous. Honestly, they created more open chances than City, only for their attackers to do their usual. I also can’t fail to notice that Walker is always a beast of a Right back and does well against many good attackers but seems Sterling always has a way past him
You are right ✅️
Sterling has personal beef against Walker lmao If the last game didn’t prove it this one did 😂😅 ur right Walker is a Great right back one of the best in the prem ever but Sterling has literally Sent him to the ice Hockey rink multiple times now 😂😅 if they play each other next season and the same happens it’d be crazy
Well Walker is overrated as a defender. His positioning was absolutely all over the place, especially for the goal, but he almost made up for it by being the fastest defender of all time and closing the gap.
Kyle Walker should Resign. He is Prime of His Form.😮😮
Kyle Walker,Foden you Both Disappointed English Fans in World Cup 2022 & Euro 2020. Better Luck Next Life 😁😁
The subs ruined the momentum. Nkunku not pressing enough when he came on, which made us defend too deep. Kudos to our players though, they were immense 👏🏽👏🏽
Only immense against City blehhhhh
Ankaji in the midfield is painfull to watch, wtf pep doing, let rico lewis invert. Stones is the only CB who can play in the midfielder effectively on man city
Ake too
Without john stones , this tactics have to be scrapped
2 pivots with akanji is a disaster
Having your fullback invert means space on his flank for the opposition to transition into of they win the ball. Having one of your CBs do it means you get the double pivot without sacrificing that space; and considering most teams play with one CF, you're not actually sacrificing much (that is apart from the fact that CBs are not midfielders, and won't be anywhere near as useful in those positions as actual midfielders. But if you have John stones or Lisandro Martinez (even though EtH is not good enough to utilize him like this) you're good.)
@@user-zc2sz1os3j Don't bring Lisandro Martinez to this discussion because he has not really played there. That role is among the most difficult roles on the pitch, so only those who have excelled in it can be mentioned.
Yea akanji in the pivot role is honestly egregious to watch Rico Lewis or even gvaridol would be better in the role even though he’s left footed…also Alvarez should never start in the midfield over Bernardo ever😤😤😤
Not a Chelsea fan.
But Gusto was very good yesterday, and Chelsea's back 5 kept their composure well
Gusto is highly underrated. I think he’s 20 too.. one of the best in prems in RB/RM position
Back 4*
@@Blok_23_ which becomes a back 5 when opposition has the ball
Poch got scared for the last 30 mins. Keep Palmer on for ball retention and even try the speedy Madueke/Mudryk against City's high line, could have gave us more of a chance. Towards the end Chelsea players were just booting the ball up the pitch, kinda embarrassing tbh
I guess you should continue watching football not only city or Chelsea but to know football and why poch is playing like this
We have been playing like this since mourinho was took over the first time haha
@@umarmars47 your comment doesn't make any relevant point.
True , he started to defend too early.
@@umarmars47How is that even true?
Mourinho was the first to really play 3 in midfield. Chelsea dominated the ball 90% of the time. Ancelotti had us scoring 103 goals in a season, we played a fast counter attack with a back 5 with conte and with sarri we played possession football.
Stop commenting on Chelsea ya muppet.
Chelsea essentially minimised threats from the wings which was crucial for city as they could not penetrate from the side to make deadly passes inside the box
Ederson playing cb just makes me feel weird so much bro why is pep such a weird human
(Y'all stop getting mad at me for calling daddy pep weird please)
Cause this season Pep has sold his defense so that they can break down low blocks
Its nothing weird at all. I tried that since the past 17 years as an u10 coach. But the kids unfortunately dont understand it. Quite an embarassing shame.
You are calling Pep weird? Lol who the tf are you to criticize Pep as if you know football better than him?
relax bob@@thuo1000
I have seen the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal do it as well... its not as if only Pep does this...😅
Today angry rantman neighbours can sleep in peace 😂✌
Nobody cares about "angry rantman"
@@obese6190shut up
@@obese6190a lot more people care about him than those caring about you apparently
Nothing will please Manchester United more than City lost
In bed, rantman turns to the left and sees a Champions League trophy, turns to the right, same thing. Let me not ask the crucial question, 0 UCL neighbours ;)
pep needs to stop this akanji midfield gimmick and alvarez midfield
he won the cl with that and remember , city didnt lose today , they drew , they're just so dominant at this stage of the season , a draw is a surprising result
@@abhikalpshekhar Come on. In winning the champions league it was Stones for Akanji, Gundogan for Alvarez and Grealish for Doku all who are much much better midfielders.
@@abhikalpshekharthat was stones
Stones injured?
Yeh with John Stones and not Akanji. JS was a midfielder himself so he is no stranger to playing in the central area. And Gundogan was as much a midfielder as possible whereas Alvarez is an out and out striker. Last season Pep utilized the players to the natural strength but now he is forcing his players out of their comfort zone just to suit his tactics.
If you take a look at Arsenal, Arteta tried to do the same thing earlier in the season, forcing Partey to play IRB and Havertz as 1 to 1 replacement to Xhaka and we knew how that went@@abhikalpshekhar
This game really is about the personal, Gundo would have played in Akanji place today, and he has the abilty to break through pressing lines. Foden would have been playing the 10 role instead of Alvarez as foden has much comfort in tight spaces turning past defenders, and Mahrez would have been on the RW, rmb last season, it was Mahrez that tore chilwell apart scoring against chelsea, and assisting as well. I think this season is still transitioning for Pep and he needs a wirtz or kimmich type player to be a double pivot with rodri.
Wirtz is more similar to De Bruyne than he is to Gundogan
Guardiola would just destroy Wirtz's natural game
@@WilcorankingGuardiola needs robots (machines) not artists (magicians.)
Agreed but why Wirtz? Working under Pep could take time and Akanji can still adapt. People easily forget that he joined last season. Instead they quick to mention Gundo, Stone, and Mahrez who have/had been with Pep for a long time.
Hes a defender@@hafolahbi
Disasi was Marcel desailly in his prime today he was a ROCK Poch threw win away by going defensive way too early
Akanji in the Midfield was a Pain to Watch. He is incapable of fulfilling that role. If Stones played the game would have been different
Really it is a tactical battle.
Had it been halaand performed well the result would entirely different from this ine
(Caps on) I LOVE THIS CHANNEL❤❤❤
Please keep it up. I wonder if you have more analysers as a team, i was hoping ypu could cover all of the most important/key matches of each league on the continent.
Great stuff 🔥 Top Analysis
This explanation is very simple and to the point, so cool💯🙂
Thanks for this. I read somewhere Akanji is City weak link but I dont understand it until this video.
Great analysis 👍
Jackson missed chances pissed me off.
haaland and jackson were competing to see who can miss more
He can look fancy all he wants but he can't finish for shit. Chelsea needs finishers.
@@jsnalva5417 what about raheem? he missed too
Chelsea have good quality players, they excel especially on the counter with Sterling and Jackson (I know he gets ripped into as a finisher but as a player in the channels with his dribbling, hold up and passing, he's good at that). They are poor when it comes to facing a low block team hence why they're struggling in the league. Apart from Enzo they don't really have much to unlock a low block that keep the spaces tight. But pit them against attacking teams like City, Liverpool, Arsenal who will inevitably leave more space at the back, they come to life.
Excellent analysis as always.
Super analysis bro✍👏
Is triple miss by Haland is also part of the Poch tactics?
Or if he scored at least one of those three, you’d be explaining us how did Pep beat Poch? 😂
what if chelsea scored one of thier easier tap in chances ? then it would be posh masterclass 😂
@@sigfigronathChelsea missed two clear chances , city missed clear 4 chances . Difference is there . And got robbed of the pen too .
@@c.w.z3295one could argue cases for both the teams. Draw was deserved for both the teams
@@c.w.z3295btw which four clear chances ? I think Jackson’s and sterlings chances were more clear.
@@Anonymous_384 agreed
much respect for Disasi
Superb!👏🏼🔥
Nice job!
Didn't watch the second half but you didn't talk about Jackson's movement in the first one, was very effective
Sometimes available players dictate the outcome of tactics. Akanjii wasn't that comfortable against Chelsea in that role. Also Foden wasn't that effective in that wing. Imagine Foden could be like Doku and draw two or more players to himself and even take them on sometimes, there would be more room for KDB to operate
I'm starting to believe that doku needs to tidy himself more......especially in that leftvwing..he is really doing alot of unnecessary things..even when there is a clear chance of crossing into the box. He is holding the ball abit too much. The other thing is that pep needs to stop playing alvarez in the midfield. If we play like this against liverpool and arsenal, we are in for a very long day.
Gallagher is a workhorse. He is full of energy
porch nice one
What app do you use for this
Akanji can't play in that position and Alvares can't play in midfield!!Simply they can't!!In the postion on Akanji can play well Stones not Akanji and in the position of Alvarez can play well Foden or Kovacic or also Bernardo Silva but non Alvarez!!It's very simple! Then the big problem of this Man city is that they can't play with their best formation 4 3 3 because they lack a true worldclass left back!!This is the big problem of this team and for sure the little bit lack of motivation because they won everything for many many years!
Pep probably underestimated Chelsea and thought City would have all the territory. Otherwise why not play Stones or Bernando from the start. He thought that they will probably be camped in Chelsea's half most of the time so have as many attack minded players as possible to gain the edge. Alvarez in midfield is not the thought of a man that thought Chelsea would do damage. Unless it's injury related or load management, one of Stones of Silva should have started.
Overthinking Pep, sometimes he need to trill, otherwise it's too simple for him. He needs some stop, especially before the Champions league ( the real City owner target)
Maybe want to rest Stones and Bernardo who was injured last game ??
Could you make an analysis of the match between Athletic Bilbao and Girona? It was a very good game
When city was dominating us for a good while in 2nd half desperately trying to score , poch chose to try and close up but putting on casadei.. too soon I think as they scored straight after then we never ever looked threatening from them on..
But these games like these where’s its battle all together helps so much with moral as they all go to war no matter the result .. there’s a positive in this and helps the unity of the team .. they are coming together and the quality is there to be unraveled
Pep's extra pass tactics, Poch used the time while defending, Chelsea within those extra passes of city solidifies their defence back in line. Those extra pass gave city possession but didn't gave the chance to counter. Doku was only way up for city for quick counter but his passing and vision is not that good, for that Grealish is needed as he has good ability to provide low cross. Haaland is good in his feet rather his head. He missed a lot of headers. The way Chelsea broke city's defence through quick counter by gusto and sterling from the wings and created many good chances. Chelsea could have gone forward just Ederson did very good goalkeeping to save city. I am a city fan but I really appreciate how Chelsea stopped city am also sad city couldn't win.
Poch switched to a back 5 cause city starting to have more men in the final third after the introduction of bernardo silva. But that is where the problem started. Chelsea started to play passive and the pressing had gone gradually until city take full control of the game. Plus chalobah are just back from a long injury definitely not a good choice but yeah what choice do poch had?
He had a choice mate, he could have brought in Either of Mudryk or Madueke to press city’s high line and hit them on counters when we get the chance! That’s one of Poch’s biggest flaws as a manger, he’s not one of the best tactically, if you want to defend against city after scoring them, and you want to do that well, you have to have pacey players upfront, to hit them on counters when you get the chance, that’s how we were able to win them in the UCL final!
I know most fellow Chelsea fans are fairly happy with the result but I am not one of them. With City down 0-1 and them desperate to win, we had a real opportunity to keep playing and pick them off in a counter once they committed too many bodies forward. But what does SuperCoach Pochettino do? Parks the bus with 30 minutes to play. His gutless decision handed City the opportunity to level the score and almost cost us the match - but for some good fortune in the form of uncharacteristic misses by Haaland.
Haaland was shocking today ,
But we need john stones as a pivot with a back 3 protected
Back 3,all 3against Jackson? C'mon Pep😂
Two problems to city line up was alvarez and akanji...akanji is not good in the midfield same to alvarez
Disasi celebrates everything like a win/goal
The thumnail is actually so powerfull
I’ve only listened to the intro yet and I disagree that it was pep’s tactical change that made the difference. I think it was more of Chelsea changing to a back 5 and going ultra defensive that made the difference
👌🏽👌🏽 Analysis
First here, waiting all day from Ghana 🇬🇭… Great Job 👏
The was no much tactical improvement by pep in the second half. It was Pochetinoz poor substitutions. He rushed to defend the game.
2:48 "However Haaland's build up play is not the best." Wish you had Kane instead yet?
"Was not the best TODAY".
Usually he is decent🙂👍🏻
@@hanantkm Not really in my opinion.
Chelsea best match in this season for me as Chelsea fan
Did you not watch the Aston villa game? Today’s parking the bus made for a shit 30 minutes. They blew it, should have won this match instead of letting city hammer away at goal to tie. Garbage game management by ppoch.
Nice work bro, really like the breakdown.... From the match as explained by you, i think to beat Man City {which Chelsea almost did if not for poch) be clinical with goal chances as Chelsea could have been 3 or 2 up before HT (man city have started this pattern of conceding and pressing to win in the 2nd) and in the 2nd make like for like changes to maintain squad freshness... Knowing Chelsea can counter and score will have man City press cautiously, also cleverly drawing fouls from Man City can frustrate their play. Finally, with a high scoreline of say 3-2😂, 4-2😂 or 4-4... I enjoyed the game and thanks FMS.. Chelsea proved their point again as a team to watchout for in a season or two... Up blues (Oops😅)
I respect poch for this❤
A wonderful match, a pity that Pochettino first put Nkunku on the playground, when Jackson is more defensive and then added a third cb. I didn't understand his idea at all. I was hoping he would want to kill City with breaks and therefore came a lot and Mudryk/Maduke will come against high line.
As if at the last minute after the alternation of Nkunku decided to change his decision.
Poch should have subbed Jackson and use Madueke to breakthrough
This game showed how much Chelsea players underperformed quite all season ( except against Newcastle in Carabao). Thiago Silva an ex player in the last 2 season. Finally Colwill plays
Football was like Playing Chess in this match!!!!! Beautiful
City remains my favourite
Personnel was a reason y the drew last night
Parking the bus and those subs were horrible decisions. Gave time for city to keep pounding away at goal. When Chelsea played the aggressive high press and quick counters against villa they were a beast. This game was giving too much space and too much respect to city in the 2nd half. Chelsea should have won this game. A fail imo by poch.
Chelsea Should have won especially in the first half, if we had an Osimhen type of finisher. Too many goal scoring opportunities squandered in the forst half by chelsea. Interestingly PEP said it post match that it was going to be a long day for City and it actually was. In all, i think a draw was the fairest result.
Osimhen misses alot too
@@johnsonaning7666 his conversion rate is far far better than Jackson's. At the least, a striker should take the shot and hope to score rather than trapping often in the penalty box.
Osimhen is far better in this, he will strike the ball and force the save from the keeper. This is something Jackson often find difficult to do.
@@diepriyekpokiri1217 You maybe right but the EPL is something different. Let's not forget of Crespo and Shevchenko who were all on top of their game in Seria A but flopped in EPL.
Osimhen ( or a similar player) is what Chelsea needs. And, possibly, a more brave manager ( Poch on the wheel)
City needs to play Atletico Madrid at some point this season and hopefully Atletico gets an early lead and we see how it pens out
I really think that Inter could also eliminate this city side there style of play is Anti-Man City
Thats why u need a CM beside rodri. Akanji not too good enough at this game. Also alvarez & kdb not too energetic in this game.
Poch defense ruined it! He should have brought in an extra midfielder rather than a defender. Pep tactics has its flaws, Arsenal and Liverpool to exploit it further
Liverpool already did it. But City barely miss 2 games...
FOOTBALL MADE SIMPLE, PLEASE WHICH TEAM DO YOU SUPPORT IN REAL LIFE.
I ALWAYS LOVE YOUR ANALYSIS.🎉🎉
I’m not sure Poch “stopped” City as much as City didn’t score at least one more of the 31 shots taken.
either way city needed a deflected shot to score
you obviously know nothing about football, did you not see their deflected goal, you talking about shots taken
City were not as clinical as they have been. Haaland missed some easy headers that would have put City ahead.
“how poch stopped pep” - proceed to show city xG 2.8 against chel 1.8 👀
i’d say it’s lucky chel got away with 1pts this time, but they actually did a better job in their last meeting ended in 4-4
but chelsea also got enough chances on counter to burry the game but attackers were not that clinical. I wont say that a lucky escape for Chelsea, they played well.
Man city where lucky to get way with a point, imagine if Chelsea took there chances 😂🤷♂️
yeah chel got “chances” to finish the game but city have more “chances” to finish it off - proof is the xG difference
ofc u can have less xG yet still win, that when it comes to brilliance of the player or sometimes just luck
but overall, xG should tell u the quality of chances that each team got
my point is, chel didn’t manage to “stop” city like the video claims, if they really did city wouldn’t manage to achieve such eventual xG
if u wanna know what “stop” is like, see the recent 3-0 leverkusen win vs bayern
City took 31 shots all together which in turn spread the xg. The more shots you take the more xg you'll have. City literally took shots from every part of the field and one managed to sneak in via deflection. But Chelsea had 9 shots total where most of them were clear cut chances.
sure 31 spread shots vs 9 clear cut chances - just search for this match xG shot map to see how wrong you are (somehow i cannot share the links here, those replies just got deleted automatically)
I just don’t get it sometimes when doku runs like a headless chicken and the entire city defense more or less are pushing up all the way no wonder they will get caught in transition. Moreover the John stones Libero was used because they lacked fullbacks. So why did city not go for reinforcements in that area? Instead walker is the only actual right back and Gvardiol is a left back who’s much better in the center. It sometimes seems that pep forgets that the reason city face low blocks is because city themselves are so dangerous in transition. Now though, they are denying all the space to such extreme that players like haaland and doku, and even kdb and Foden in a way, are unable to do what they do best
Poch folded too early, can see why but wished he was more brave
I don’t think tactics had anything to do with this one 😂 it was all down to Haaland missing all his good chances
first half should've been 3-0 to Chelsea
Same can be said about Chelsea as well
You don't understand tactical nuance bro
So aren't you gonna respond to the replies?
You see how stupid you sound?
Cover Porto vs Arsenal match plss 😢
i cant believe you Diss my boy Asi like that
chelsea could have won if not for nkunku change. When city score its Nkunku fault he fail in marking, clearing and blocking the ball and was out of the intended position as what sterling and jackson did the whole time city takes a corner and give the little space for rodri to score.
Please make more analysis about different teams, I personally hope for real Madrid ones but maybe just not always city,Liv, Chelsea
Because Haaland couldn’t score what a great tactic well done poch you made Haaland miss 5 big opportunities because of your fantastic tactics
Chelsea swallowed City's attack, they were out numbered in the final 3rdand Chelsea had 4 midfielders vs City's 2 coz Akanji is a natural defender so the midfield got swallowed by Chelsea
Liverpool has the slight advantage and it's up to them to keep it.
I'm pissed because Chelsea could have gone 2 up in the first half and scored one more in the 2nd half. This should have been a big victory instead of a stale 1-1 draw
nico jackson and raheem both should have scored before the first goal
How long has Poch been at the helm? Coz I’ve yet to see Chelsea’s identity of play.
Poch stopped Pep? It's Haaland that stopped City from winning yesterday. If he scored at least one of the three big chances, you wouldn't be saying this shit.
Okay. Chelsea also lost open chances too. Shots on target will tell you how City struggled today. Chelsea had more. If Chelsea Fronline was clinical, the match would be well beyond City. I don’t rate Poch highly, but today he got it right apart from his subs.
agree lol, ppl keep saying Chel may finish the game but apparently just biased, City has their fair share of clear cut chances
I was waiting for us to get slapped i even predicted a 4-0 win city but yet again Chelsea doing the opposite of what we expect great performance disasi locked up haaland he resulted to diving
Poch didn’t “stop” City; City just shot really badly. They got the ball to great goalscoring positions (City won the xG battle 2.69:1.44) and just shot poorly. That’s really all there was to it. Don’t overanalyse anything from that game. Simulate it and City would win eight or nine times out of ten.
Haaland actually had a bad day😮. City were not clinical like other days.
Poch didn't stop pep lol their GK was in the right place at the right time everytime people who think Chelsea won by playing gd it's not true coz they Drew don't take that as a victory lol ur not even mid table yet. Man city completely destroyed Chelsea with 34 shots 😭on a different day it's a 6-1 Victory for city
bernardo should play from start
Tactics: Caicedo commits 4 yellow card fouls doesn't get sent off and Haaland misses 3 good chances. MOTM: Ref.
Poch:
Yeah, that's exactly what I planned.
I don't see 115 charges FC winning the league this time. They haven't beaten a top six team in the league this season. That's very unlike 115 charges FC. I see Liverpool or Arsenal winning the league, but Arsenal is more likely because Liverpool's injuries will slow them down, and they will start losing points.
What does pep see in doku
Pep just Made his keeper as ball playing centre back goalkeeper 😂
Thanks Poch !! 😊
rare bad day for city in front of goal, typical chelsea not being clinical, could've been 2-0 up at half time.
31 attempts at goal yes you heard right 31 , on a normal they would have scored 7 . And we get this 😮
If only Haaland had converted the 2 "all alone in the box" headers from DeBruyne's and Alvarez's passes. We wouldnt be praising Chealsea's tactics this much...
well Nico Jaco jackson and raheem both had two clear chances. Technically Nkunku as well
This game made simple is simply City not converting their chances. Chelsea didn’t stop shjt! 💁🏽♂️
Chelsea got more chances
All I can say is the ref and var really tried for Chelsea 😂
All I heard is "however"
and also the miss from Halland
Na, He invited Pep to win by subbing away counter attacks. Not a single shot after minute 70? So he blew it.
Alvarez was a ghost in this game, never saw him doing something. If he started with Bernardo instead of Alvarez City will win.
After gettin a draw w city, Chelsea will drop mpre point onward😂the cycle begin
😂
Only when City draws or loses that u see these analysts covering their games.
