Man, this season was simply fantastic. Even the lesser episodes were average at worst, and the best ones are among the greatest in the show’s history!
If this is really the end for Death Battle, then they went out with a bang.
If worst comes to worst, and season 10 is the ending of the series. I think we can all find solace in knowing they ended on a high note.

This season really felt like the culmination of years of work. I couldn't be happier that I got to experience it happen in real-time.
A common take, but while I have hope for the show to continue, I mainly just want the talented and passionate people behind it to be able to find work. Warner Bros throwing them under the bus really sucks and I can only hope that they all bounce back from this somehow.
If this is the end, I'm happy we ended on a note this high. Again, wishing the Death Battle team the absolute best. They deserve it.
The thing that people always say about The Doctor that isn't true is that he's a pacifist. He isn't. He isn't exactly against throwing punches or wielding weapons. He just doesn't like to be the aggressor, and wants to find another way before relying on that. And I think it's that aspect that Death Battle nailed. From what he's seen, Rick is only a threat to him for a petty reason, so The Doctor has no reason to fight. That is, until he finds Rick in the TARDIS, a machine so powerful that its destruction once caused every timeline to collapse. It is at this point that The Doctor realises that not only will Rick not give up, but he could do some serious damage with the TARDIS. He brings out his weapon, but hesitates: he hasn't given Rick the choice to surrender yet. But Rick appears from his back, and makes The Doctor regenerate. The Doctor is about to be vulnerable, and if given the chance, Rick could cause untold damage with the TARDIS, and seems to show no desire to give up his assault. So, the Doctor does what he always does: use a weapon, from his enemy's hands.
The key difference between a pacifist and The Doctor is that a pacifist would be distraught at the loss of Rick's life. But The Doctor just continues, seemingly unaffected by what he just did. And that kind of reaction to taking someone out is the exact reaction The Doctor has.
I love how most of us agree this is the best season of death battle

Season 10 is probably the season that made me happier to be in this community overall than any other season and that’s partially do to how many of my dream series and matchups finally happened a fucking lot this year. Dark Souls, ToAru, Guardians rep, Vader VS Obito, Fire Emblem, Gravity Falls, Freeza VS Megatron, Chainsaw Man, Rick and Morty, all were series or ideas I’ve wanted to see for so long. And all of that in the same season?
Easily my favorite season, that feeling of serotonin has not died down for me

22:56 as a fan of both series, I can answer that question. The opening piano sequence of the song is reminiscent of Alex Mercer’s theme from Prototype 1. And the Violin section is reminiscent of one of the boss themes from Infamous 2. I’m not sure if there was a name drop of the boss, but you’ll know which one I’m talking about once you play it. And I don’t think the vocals take any sort of inspiration. I heard someone say that the vocals were thrown in there in reference to popular music of the 2000s, like Linkin Park. Would make sense to because of the Kirby joke

Season 10 destroyed every Season of Death they ever made! Season 10 fight animation is awesome, the analysis is a lot of fun, and the voice actors are having a lot of fun.
Definitely agree on Jean vs Raven. Easily the bottom of my list for s10, has a good few issues but it wasn't *bad.* Plus it did something that no X-Men material has ever done before, made me actually kind of give a shit about Jean as a character! So that's a win!
Gojo vs makima is my favorite episode from this season because it made me realize how I love anime fights on death battle and made me appreciate Gojo as character I get it that bill versus Discord or Scooby vs courage might be a better episode in general but I can't ignore my personal reasons why I can't ignore my personal reasons for loving Gojo versus makima

Personally I gotta say I'm not usually too fond of the anime episodes, but this season they had some really great ones, including GvsM, and even the one I didn't really like that much (killua vs makima) had my favourite track. Hopefully next season can pick up the pace on the Marvel vs DC episodes too
I feel like the ending of Gojo vs Makima is only disliked by people who actually understand Makima as a character. You said you prefer it to her not reacting at all, but her not reacting is synonymous with her character. It would have been way more impactful if Purple overwhelms her and we just see her eyes pierce through it until they are erased. Also unlimited void wouldn’t make her scream anyway cause the whole point is to stun the person. And she can’t mentally scream either cause her mind is to busy to everything else humanly possible. I’m sorry but defending an ending like that just justifies DB doing more out of character endings if the show does continue
I can't forgive ClassicMandD for calling Courage vs Scooby as and I quote "filler". I wish he could enjoy that episode as it should be, please pray for him🙏.

Ah season 10… My favourite season of Death Battle aka the most original comment of the century. Having some of my favourite episodes ever with Scooby-Doo vs Courage being my favourite due to nostalgia (Though Xeno Trunks vs Archie Silver’s still my favourite once again nostalgia towards Sonic and Xenoverse 2), my favourite song with Discordant Decipher and lastly getting to experience every single episode with a close friend of mine and making Bill vs Discord one of my favourite 1st views of a episode ever dispute not seeing Gravity Falls or being a MLP fan.
I’d like to thank you, Nem and Galaxy for the fun reviews, my friend for watching every episode making the 1st viewings more enjoyable and I’d like to thank everyone on the death battle team for putting their best into this legendary season.
Courage vs Scooby is so overwhelmingly Godlike that Bought a Funko pop of Courage
Killua vs Misaka was a sleeper hit for me. I wasn’t aware of the characters but, I came out of it loving the episode. Honestly It’s one of my favorites of the show for that reason alone
I'm still in disbelief this season is real. If this is the note the show ends on, then what a damn good way to go out!
Fantastic work on this ranking! I echo a lot of the sentiments and points brought up in here, especially those for eps like Friezatron, Killua/Misaka and Billcord. This is still easily my favorite season of the whole show, hands down. Praying the best for the DB team, if this is their last season (hoping it won't be but I'm mentally preparing for this to age like milk in the worst case scenario), they went out on a hell of a line-up. I'll always appreciate the show for how it retroactively got me in contact with so many cool people I can consider close friends, and bringing us all hours of entertainment as well as reason to love these characters and the passion we put into projects like these that celebrate them.

39:37 Oh yeah, this wasn’t him talking to a stranger. This line was actually written with Rick knowing about the Doctors Regeneration in mind. Hence why he shoot him in both hearts and said
“Hurry up and make this quick”
Meaning he’s telling him to hurry up and regenerate because he knows the Doctor can’t stay dead till he starts the process and then gets killed. Which is why he doesn’t fire during the Doctors whole speech. He knows he won’t accomplish anything other then killing him more so he waits till it starts but the Doctor had a trick up his sleeve. Literally
Which lead to the pay off at the end
All confirmed in the Death Battle Commentary going into great detail on what’s narratively intentional here
Rick knowing what a timelord and how the regen works is fine, it helps for him to feel on top of things. But nothing indicates he knows Doctor personally, and having him say “I’ve got a grandson waiting who won’t die an idiot like you” feels like a level of care and respect for Morty that he wouldn’t express to someone he doesn’t know without any prompting. It’d feel more in line for him to berate him with something like “hurry up, I gotta go make sure my dipshit grandson doesn’t crash my car again.”
My feelings on the line itself are the same as the delivery, starts really good but trails off a bit towards the end.

And yes we don’t know how much he knows about the Doctor considering he calls him “Doctor Who”. For the animation the death battle team just assumed and gave him the benefit of the doubt he knows all of this and is aware of the Doctors regeneration rule
But as they said in the tabs: we don’t know how much he actually knows so it’s extremely likely he isn’t aware of almost everything major the Doctor possesses

Btw, my favorite episode this season is Goku vs Superman followed by Scooby Doo vs Courage by a close second.
Ouside of the placement of Rocket vs Stitch (I would've probably placed it 5 or 6 spots lower), and swapping the order of the top five due to my own experiences with said series (1. Courage Dooby Doo, 2. Billcord, 3.GutsMitri and 4. Vaderbito) I agree with most of what you've said

Even if we don't get more Death Battle, at least we can be happy with the fact that they went out with this absolute masterpiece of a season.
With the uncertainty of the future of Death Battle, I’m happy with Season 10 being the finale if that’s how things pan out. I’d call it the Perfect Season that truly showed why so many love the show, and even if some people don’t like Galactus vs Unicron much I still believe it’s a fitting Series Finale if there is no Season 11. I thank Death Battle for the over decade of entertainment and I hope we get more of it.

I love season 10 man, it's so good.
Goku vs Superman (2023) is my favorite Death Battle of all time! My reasoning is because it does everything perfectly, from analysis segments, to character writing, to editing, music, voice acting, conclusion, you get the idea. The only thing I wish they did was use more of their arsenals, but that’s to be expected. And the reason I think people don’t rate it high is because of its simple combat, which I think that works for the fight. I think if the fight had incredibly outstanding combat, the fight would feel completely overwhelming with all the stuff they were able to squeeze in. Plus, this might be my Murder Drones bias talking, but Michael Kovach might be my favorite voice for Goku, I’m glad Death Battle made him their official VA for him since Goku Black vs Reverse Flash.

This season was the first season I got to watch some episodes with some other DB fans. Bill Cord was especially such a fun ride since it was the first episode I watched with others. My FE bias is still clashing with it for my favorite episode of the season, but in terms of quality… yeah. Really hope we get more Death Battle in the future
Not talking more about Michael Kovach and Xander Mobus as Goku and Superman is *CRIMINAL*.
I still can't get Mobus' "World made of cardboard" out of my head, MONTHS LATER.
In my opinion, Superman VS Goku would definitely be on par with Bill VS Discord in terms of voice acting.
Guts VS Dimitri would probably be a close second.
As much as I would've liked to heap further praise, that was the absolute last segment that needed to be any longer lol

I kinda like the end of Galactus vs Unicron the “I have won” could’ve been replaced with something better but the swelling of the music combined Galactus basically saying “You’re impressive lil guy but you ain’t shit compared to me” and the “For all mighty Galactus must now feed” make it really hit for me

Rick vs The Doctor is my personal favorite, mainly because that was the thing that got me in Death Battle, I already watched Frieza vs Megatron as a break in a Fortnite stream of all things.
Rick vs The Doctor however had my favorite character in fiction, The Doctor, seeing how he was portrayed made me hyped, I loved it.
Many have said it, but I'll say it too.
Fuck WB, they used to be cool and respected.
Now their no better than any other greedy corporation now.
For Death Battle.
While we can disagree on results of fights or even disagree on match ups.
We can agree that this season had massive fire episodes with the animators for each episode going hard on them.
Personally for style I think Galactus vs Unicron, ,Megatron vs Freeza, Goku vs Superman, Bill Cipher vs Discord, Courage vs Scooby Doo, The Doctor vs Rick and many others of this season were great and if this is the end, it was a a great swan song.
If not, I cannot wait to see what they do next as while i do get annoyed at some results (like ben10 vs Green Lanturn) I'm not going to do anything about it besides maybe argue my side.
I hope everyone who worked on that season of death battle or works for them is well looked after, since clearly WB doesn't care.
Maybe Megatron should've called Frieza a Moran the first time.
Having this season beat my favorite episode (Trunks vs Silver cause, as you said, Favorite character getting a perfect adaptation go brrrr) 3 times over (Billcord, Gutsmitri, and Gokuman 3) but im not complaining
If I write a second one, you can criticize me as much as you want.
You know a season is a banger when the worst episode is not only not bad, but also better than a lot of bottom picks from other seasons and would probably crack the top half in a few of them. It helps that Season 10 has what is objectively the best episode of the show, even if it’s not my personal favorite (it’s still my 2nd favorite)
I hope Season 11 comes out and that DB can continue just to see what bangers the team has cooked up.

Season 10 just might objectively be the best season of the show. The amount of care, love, and passion that's put into each episode is clear, even if it isn't conveyed well (looking at you Colex). Which makes their current situation suck even more (eat $#!+ WB).
I hope everyone affected by this this can bounce back in some form or fashion and Death Battle can still continue. But of this is truly the end, then it's an end of en era, not just the show but for alot of people like you, me, and everyone reading this probably have been watching Death Battle since they were kids, it's practically been a part of our lives up to this point and now for it to be suddenly over fraggen sucks to say the least. But hey, if this is truly the end, then atleast they went out on their magnum opus. And if by some cosmic coincidence someone who worked on Death Battle is reading this, Thank you, for everything, and good luck to whatever endeavors hold for in the future.

I'm hopeful for Death Battle's future since they recently announced they accepted a sponsorship so I believe they'll be fine, but if not then at least this season would be an excellent finale to the series
damn near flawless season this time around. the marvel vs dc fights I really just did not bother investing in cause I am starting to get tired of them like many others so it was nice seeing the marvel and DC fights that was not against either other (Rocket vs stitch and Goku vs superman) I enjoyed most of what we got out of this season for many reasons, most of the returner fighters got done so well to point of nigh on perfection, seeing 2 transformers episodes a month apart from each other was perfect, seeing all the new fighters appearing in this season made me smile something fierce, scooby doo vs courage just in general, bill cypher vs discord still being in my top 3 cause while bill got the win we have never seen a death battle where a character wins but the big twist is their win coming from being heavily screwed over and I love it to pieces, Goku vs superman getting the justice it deserved was super (hehe), seeing Galactus vs Unicron made clashing made my jaw drop and Frieza vs Megatron being something I wanted but left feeling unsatisfied (mainly with how Frieza did not even need to use black cause he was winning without it) and an extra to that is why are people begging for Nemesis to watch the episode, he made a video on why he hated that match up years ago and I fully understand why he did not bother watching it now and it is perfectly fine that he didn't. season 10 of death battle is my most watched season cause of just how stunning most of the run time was and I do hope that if and when season 11 can come out it''ll be another banger since the last few seasons have been 9/10's for me. OH and yet another perfect video :3 I enjoyed hearing about your views and how they changed or not it is always a fun time

Any season with guts vs dimitri and rick vs the doctor is an automatic 10/10
My problem with Guts vs Dimitri is not with the conclusion, but how it was handled. We are expected to believe that Guts lost 100% of his blood from a few stab wounds? I would believe 75-90% maybe. But 100%? The wounds he received would take much longer to bleed him out completely, and he did receive worse wounds without bleeding out. It breaks the immersion just a little.
Am I the only one who doesn't get what people like about killua vs Misaka that isn't just the sand titan?

The time has come, the PEAK season's episodes are being ranked! Always enjoyed seeing your rankings, Biff. I'm gonna leave my rankings, now granted it has been a while since I've sat down to watch the full season, so my opinions can change. But I'm confident that this is basically what they'll still be. I say the bottom three are interchangeable along with a couple in the upper middle portion. But the main takeaway is that any season would kill to have any of my least favorites of the season as their "worst" episode. One last thing, I'm mainly gonna be talking about the fights since that's what I mainly come back to in Death Battle Episodes
