Sequel to Persona 2 Innocent Sin, first time playing through the game. Interesting going through the previous stages and getting to know more back story about other characters. - Hry
Fun Fact: Sudou is also actually the reaper from persona 3-5. The reaper only has 1 eye, and that was the eye that Sudou still has before his death. The garments on the Reaper are also like those from Sudou's.
So when he died, his shadow actually became a security system for Tartarus, Midnight Channel and Mementos.

They're implied to be related somewhat, not outright confirmed.

Tatsuya is distancing himself from his brother so he will be safe. He's trying to carry the burden by himself.
Tbf, Tatsuya knew they won't get harmed by jumping out since he obviously saw the sea below them.
Fun Fact I learned recently: If you're able to import an Innocent Sin save (its possible now if you have a patched EP Rom and use the debug mode feature to do so) Tatsuya will join the fight exactly as you left him in the Nyarlathotep fight in the previous game. If he was unconscious he starts with 1 HP, if he was poisoned he joins the fight poisoned, and he joins you with the level and stats he had in Innocent Sin as well as the rank of his Persona carries over.

I imported Tatsuya and he had 999 hp and mana but had 300 something hp and 500 mana
The Reaper's garments bear some resemblance to Tatsuya Sudou's clothes, from the Persona 2 duology. Additionally, considering Sudou eventually loses his right eye during the events that take place during the duology, and the Reaper itself is missing that eye as well, one can speculate the two of them are somehow connected.
I remember purposely dragging this fight on with Tatsuya because he was such a high level. It also made for a cool looking fight
I don't know you can cancel turns by pushing button ... Since sudou has fire resistance i have to wait until tatsuya mp run out and spamming attacks, oh yeah the party was annihilated through

I played the ps1 fan translation of innocent sin and imagined tatsuya sudou to have a deep voice, so when I heard how high pitched his voice was in this game I was shocked.
Well in the PSP version of Innocent Sin, he finally gets a deep voice. Also Fun Fact: Sudou’s Japanese VA is Ryusei Nakao, who is known for voicing as Frieza from the Dragon Ball series.

just played the psp ver and was hyped when tatsuya joined the battle. like my man was level 65 lmao. but apparently the punishment just began when he left the party lol.

I'm pretty sure Tatsuya can solo this fight, with right RNG (aka, enemies not ganking up on him, but spreading the dmg through the party)
I don't think it takes much RNG, just not making dumb decisions. He can on-shot the Shax, after the minotaurs are down Sudou wont do too much damage to him with fire spells. You could probably get unlucky and have Sudous's physical attacks do a lot of damage though.
Considering all of Sudou’s attacks inflict single digit damage, you have to actually try really hard to lose this battle.
It’s actually much easier to end up losing all your other party members than to have Tatsuya die.

This right here is my favorite battle in the Persona series. Tatsuya joins the party for this single battle and you get to go ham on Sudou with him and Apollo. Feels great after coming off of Innocent Sin.

When I first played eternal punishment I didn’t revive anyone because of the Old Maid so I have to use Tatsuya through out the fight
I love how the enemies dropping down next to sudou shakes the arena
Also I wish we had more of his plot line in EP he was a good joker

No, at least I don't think lol. I'm still at the beginning of Eternal Punishment and am planning on playing Innocent Sin afterwards, so maybe they'll explain it their? Maybe it has something to do with the "other world"?

ive never played this game before but is there a reason why tatsuya is stronger then everyone else in this battle
This is because if you inport save file from innocent sin, Tatsuya will have stats from innocent sin, in my case he was at 52 lvl while others was MUCH less lvl
