- Installing a injen short ram air intake on the 2.0L corolla hatchback, hope you like this video. the before and after with this intake is amazing and definitely a difference in noise throttle response and the car just feels more alive already! Let me know what you guys think!

great video man, taught me a lot of new things!!
Thats great!
Dude I've been watching all of your modding vids for your hatch, I dont even have one yet and I'm already super excited to work on it. Haven't actually modded a car ever (or driven stick before) but I tell you what your vids make me confident that I can build it how I want and enjoy it. Keep it up bro
Dide thats great to hear! Im excited for you! Its so worth it!
Nice video mate!
Thanks!
Looks good, get a blue Injen sticker, it deserves it!
Good point!
At least that throttle body, Intake is in an easy spot to get too.
Most definitely!
Car is looking / sounding great. I would have gotten a intake with a box because the style you have is going to take in all the hot air from the engine compartment.
Thank you, i just wasnt sure how i felt about box ones cause i wanted a bit more noise
Dope I got a 6 speed sedan se i think im gonna go with the aem intake i like the looks better
Hell yeah! Love it!
Bro you are doing all of the things I wanna do to my rolla, did you get yours in a manual or auto? From Oklahoma 🤙🏼
I got mine with the 6 speed manual!
How about u?
sweet mods and like your content. how you like the injen intake so far? what made you go with Injen instead of other brands? how is the throttle spacer working out? better performance?
Thanks man! The injen i went with because I liked the ease of installation and how the sound was i few the throttle spacer wasnt much of a difference tbh I wouldn’t miss it if it wasnt on. Hard to say for sure the performance gains if any are so little.
What brand of spacer ? Product code ?
@@joerebelo106 its just grocery getter performance space look on there website!😃
Are you still able to remove the air filter easily when it’s time to replace it without having to take off the entire intake? It kind of seems stuck in the bottom corner
Yeah, to be honest, I think he would have to take quite a bit of parts or replace it, but I doubt it hast to be replaced too often
I also have corolla the only thing I hate about the car is it has cvt trans I can trust on engine but have some trust issue with transmission
Yeah! Thats a bummer i hear ya!
Me too😢
Love my ‘rolla, but I’m not gonna turbo the rubber band😅
If it helps alleviate some worries, the transmission is kinda hybrid. It is a CVT but has a real first gear. A lot of wear on a cvt happens on launch and generally low speeds. The real first gear is designed to prevent or diminish that wear. And I think I heard that from testing, it seems to do a really good job.
Nice one man. How do you feel about it later now, would you still go with this kit today? And is the spacer necessary?
Bro save your money, I just went back to my stock intake. I feel like I lost power in 2nd and 3rd gear with it in. It loud and sounds nice but that's about it. Oh I forgot to add that I lost fuel economy, with it for about a month 30 mpg. I put stock back on and it's about 32 mpg. The stock air vents from grill works better as a cold air intake than this open element Injen does. The Injen intake is honestly a short ram intake, don't know why they label like that.
@@Lala-cd2pk Yeeesh, heard that. I'm thinking I'll just stick with the stock intake now, or just go for a TRD intake to keep it "OEM+"
I would go with the 2jracing intake tbh and not the spacer
@@Lala-cd2pkthanks glad I came across yout comment. Would stock work with an upgraded throttle body?
Dude, there’s no way you felt this modification. I really like the mod and you make me want to do it to my car but come on that’s in your head.😅
Its possible lol
@@ricevlogs_ thanks for your content very inspirational!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just bought e210 and was looking into getting this cold air intake, do you have any CEL's after installing this and driving it for 8 months?
No sir! No check engine lights from the intake
Hey bro.
Did you disconnect battery prior to installation?
Any codes so far?
no throttle body reset type deal?
No none! All was good
I live in California, and apparently I can't purchase one or have one in my car due to carb regulations... Do you know if people still run them even though the restrictions by any chance?
Not too sure but i wonder if the tune would help u to trick things for carb testing?
Carb testing I don't think so. Great content btw,. Made me want to get one sooo bad from looking at your whole intake to mid pipe to exhaust combo!
@@retsamtih yeah! Much more to come too!!
You didn't run the zip tie through the provided slot for tensioning chief.
Thats fair
Awesome, does it fit to Corolla hybrid as well?
Considering the corolla hybrid has the 1.8L and not the 2.0 L you would just need to find a injen intake designed for the 1.8L im sure they have em!
Did you get better throttle response from that throttle spacer?🤔
Just read the description 😅 I guess is it still feeling the same?
Its very hard to say its such a slight change
hey man can u provide the link to the that exact intake and the other blue piece?
Yes i can!

@@ricevlogs_ thanks a lot man
Did your mpg change after installing these parts?
No not really but once i tuned the car it has decreased a bit
@@ricevlogs_ What tuner did you go with? Looking to tune mine as well!
Nice video but like most of “modding Corolla” videos begs the question: why? Why would I do any of those things on a Corolla…😅
Because its a good looking car that could be driven daily with slight mods to someone’s liking and not break the bank
Hello brother, I need to contact you. I have the same car but I want the exhaust to explode
Amt tuning will do it for ya!
I have the amt stage 2 p&B but the pops are not that loud, could you help me?
Was about to get this till I realized how much heat soak it was then prone too
Ohhh I suppose thats a possibility
Would this work in a 2024 SE?
Yes sir!
@@ricevlogs_ thank you man definitely getting it.
This guy sounds like brad pitt
?? 😅😂
What happen if water get suck into it
Probably not too likely in the engine bay like it is but it probably wouldn’t be good
@@ricevlogs_ I have a stock intake and I drive to floods all the time, but my car still runs if I put aftermarket intake I don’t know what’s gonna happen
Is the spacer needed?
No its not
Any issues with the intake?
No none
That fit the sedan?
Yes
@@ricevlogs_ we’re did you buy it bro? 🥺
These things are the biggest gimmick. The stock one was pulling in fresh air. That injen junk is now pulling from a hot engine bay… I can’t believe people fall for these things!
The best one arguably is the TRD one. Still pulls fresh air but the filter allows for more airflow and it is a bigger filter than stock.
You just robbed HP for some extra noise is all you did…
Thats fair
TRD filter is same size as stock - but the airbox top is bigger than stock. Bottom of airbox is same for both.
I installed an Injen then changed to the TRD. Injen sounded raspy to my ears. It was a 2020 SE 6MT. Now I have a 2024 SE CVT - not as fun but still a great car!
Go get your 2020 back.
If you've done this mod by now, youd have realized he did alot of extra shit off camera.
Sorry if i missed alot
You're all doing it wrong, you need to hook up a window AC unit to blast freezing air into your intake.
😂🤫
You voided your warranty a while back. LOL..
Yup!
I know how easy it is to do.. I have spent about 3K with 2J on my Juke too.. So I get it..
Definitely
Gas
the horn is terrible indeed
Yes!
Is the spacer needed?
Nah I wouldn’t say so it was just something I wanted to try out, no huge difference
