he´s still SO BEAUTIFUL
Yeah he is... and he's 56 in this video!!!
Calvin's the BEST
I love Calvin Johnson. Great interview!
Cheers! We just managed to squeek in this interview right before we had to leave for the airport. Calvin was very generous with his time and totally ready to give even more than we asked! The man still loves music with his full being.
i talked to him a little bit before a show last year (2017). i had so many questions bc, u know, the guys been around. but i didn't want to be annoying so i just told him Jamboree changed my life.
Calvin is the best!
Calvin you are too cool and i own that hoodie
I own a demo tape you made. Rare songs that im not sharing Songs like Root beer floats / Break the chains.
sorry folKS A proud album from K One foot in the grave BECK
Beck should come back to K and stop selling out
I owned the guitar Beck played on One Foot.. the one Beck is holding on the front cover while sitting in the tree swing, which was in (and still is iinm) Cal's front yard. It was my first guitar ever: a half size Silvertone acoustic.. Calvin gave it to me when I was about 12 years old (around 1996 or so). But I smashed it against a wall and into pieces while "performing" once for like three people. It felt good at the time but I do regret it now :/
Calvin is Lord Core
Selector dub narcotic in our new spring bonnets
The cool rays with calvin 81 Root beer floats break the chains and more.
I own it
Could someone please tell me the record he's referring to that he calls "middle wave" at rainy day?
Would have been cool to remaster the tape Young Pioneers made! Prob done on a Tascam 4-track, tho.
This guy could be 20 or could be 50
yup. He's... 59 this year (~56 in this video..). He also lives a very healthy lifestyle as he's vegetarian, doesn't smoke or drink (never has) and just generally tries to live pretty well. He also walks a lot as he's somewhat of an "anti technology" type dude (he just got a cell phone- non smart- last year or so? Doesn't drive if he can help it, and doesn't even have a laptop or a TV at the house.)

K(aos) Records
its funny how these guys dont want to promote other peoples music hehehe
Love the channel. Hate Calvin and his self obsessiveness. Only seven inches.... >>>>>
"self obsessiveness??" wut??
I've known Calvin Johnson my entire life, well, because he is my maternal Uncle. He is one of the most thoughtful people ever. Even though he is, obviously, a very busy man, he still has always taken the time to send xmas gifts for us almost every year (even when he was in Japan one year); he is an incredibly caring person. Yes he is rather aloof, especially with peeps he doesn't know, but, so what? Evryone who has this opinion of Cal simply is projecting their own insecurities, fears, and own issues onto the man; because the Calvin Johnson I know is awesome.
@@taylorj6177 my band played with Calvin and he was so cool. Really nice guy and watched everyone’s sets in full and shut down his merch during them. What a legend
I actually own a t-shirt that reads "Calvin Johnson has ruined rock for an entire generation".
