I really like using Caustic 3. It's an extremely powerful production app and considering it's on a mobile device the sound quality capability is awesome if you have the Caustic Mastering app. For 16$ for both of them, it's definitely worth it considering even a cheap keyboard from a pawn shop would be over $30 in my area

Great vid man. I think I am in love with caustic. I have plenty of apps I like the look of better, plenty that I like the sound of better. Some that I even enjoy more. But this just has some kind of magic that allows me to get so much more done. The caustic muse
Great sounds. One feature which could be useful on a multi-layer production like this is the ability to rename the tracks. Go to the machine and press and hold down on the name at the top left.
This is really a good app and so powerful.

AMAZING TRACK, just subscribed too..... I have a question though.... What would you recommend as far as a ( TABLET ) to use Caustic 3 on. I have been using caustic since the first version and shortly after tried using my Akai MPK mini for controller use and does work, BUT.... too much latency. Tablets have better processors so I know it would be a bit better. Any suggestions are helpful. thanks

Once I have concluded a project on caustic 3 and saved it on my SD card and starts a new project I find it difficult to reload the previous caustic file back to caustic 3 for adjustments, it keeps saying "can't preview this file type". Any advice please. I didn't encounter this challenge with my former Android phone.

Do you ever have issues recording from the in app keyboard? I’m getting notes coming in that I never pressed. Almost feels like there’s a chord mode on half of the time or I’m recording on top of another pattern. Very odd. It’s ruining my ability to use the app it’s so prevalent. I’m concerned it’s user error. I should be able to click a new pattern (A1, A2, etc), click record, play on the keyboard, then edit in the piano roll - yeah?
One thing I did this time I couldn’t figure out in the past was I finally found where the pre-roll/count in is hiding. I turned that on - any known glitches there for anyone?
i made all my beats in my channel using nothing but caustic 3 mobile, its the best music production app for Android for making professional instrumentals 4sure
It's quite some total package, you can't add vast synth to it's rack but what is provided esp modular synth you can do most things you need to, it can be clunky at times ie automation and cut edit paste is clumsy but just work at it and it will come, being a single app, every setting is compatible with anything else, simple yet powerful, i wish all machines could reverse spin as modular to wire up module to module as adv routing and triggering control, but what do you expect for free eh?

I've been saving loops as presets in one time signature and then using a different time signature for the next...just thought I'd share
Do you know the status of development for Caustic? I am under the impression that it's no longer in development, and Single Cell Software's seems to redirect to some spammy sites now. Damn shame, as I love and use Caustic and really hope it continues!
How do we extend da piano roll??
Caustic needs more sample pack developers. Also needs to implement time stretching. It's almost there but I feel like single cell lost their momentum. Like they just came to a sudden halt with no warning.

I've been enjoying Caustic, but don't know if there are any tips or tricks to make sure I'm getting the best quality sound out of it compared to other software packages like ableton, etc. Curious if you or others have hit audio quality limits with this software as compared with your favorite goto production setup. Keep up the great videos!
It's 16 or 24 bit audio, so you're definitely not limited by that... You're mostly limited by the synth engines and your sound design skills.
We need, er rather I need really basic tutorial on how to create music within Caustic... Like laying down your first track ie:Beatbox (percussion) then add an instrument layer then another instrument, then mixing etc... A tutorial that takes a beginner that's new to music creation and helps them create their first song, loop etc in Caustic...

so how do you get to the song panel? when i press song its silent even though i have patterns. a lot of patterns
Go to the sequencer 👇
Click on the empty spaces to lay out your patterns on the sequencer
Keep scrolling brother. Once you click song, just scroll, you'll hit it. And then you can arrange the patterns however you want. Its a brilliant work flow

How do you play all the sections at once? when put the sound on for one, the other section mutes itself, so I can't hear my full song but only part of it
In case you haven't figured it out. In the mixer, press ANY ONE channel so it turns green. Then just tap that green button again.
I got a redmi note 8 pro. Android 10. But caustic 3 don't work on Android 10. Help me

Caustic 3 actually links to a pretty comprehensive youtube tutorial stock, just selevt tutorial in the settings dialogue panel where you set bpm, quantisations, loop at track end options, it should give you the basics at least one video per panel plus, not fully comprehensive tutorials but they do get the basic concept explained for beginners and a few Easter eggs thrown in such as hidden functionality

Is there a way to make Caustic fit the entire screen of a phone on Android? The piano key range really is just too small for me haha.
Or do people use it as a sort of step sequencer where people more of input notes via piano roll?
I pretty much only use the piano roll... The screen and latency are just too small for anything else to work for me.

You must really like Caustic! :D I am actually still deciding whether to get Caustic on Android since I already have FL Studio Mobile (or to trade in my phone for an iPhone to get Korg Gadget lol). Anyway, upon exploring the demo version earlier, setting the "Latency" setting to "lowest" helped me out earlier 😅 just in case you don't know about it yet (which I think you probably already do).

either unmute your tracks or dont use the initial preset you're given when you open the beatbox/pcmsynth/modular/vocoder, since those need samples and the modular needs modules to be inserted in a correcr way
how to record voice in it and import export ?
The only way that I know is recording inside the vocoder and make ir dry to soubd your voice natural without efx of the vocoder, also you can add some reverb and delay

Hello, using beatbox(caustic), how do you add effect to a single sample__like If you need to add reverb to snare alone without adding reverb to the whole beatbox?
I don't think you can, I think you'd have to add a separate beatbox

Tap the gear at the top of the beatbox, then the icon that looks like a waveform. It takes you to a sample editor where you can then apply an effect and do all sorts of stuff like cropping, time stretching, repitching, etc

EZ bro, just go to singlecellsoftware.com/caustic and the bottom of the page has all the downloader options. Fairly straightforward from there, just like any other installer.

I make most of my music with Caustic. You can check out my stuff on my Chanel. Been using Virtual DJ to make my songs into music videos with cool visualizations.. I use vocality and bones to make voices for lots of my songs. Some are my voice and some are my girls voice. I love Caustic!

This video shows the many options and windows of the software, but it doesn't teach realistically how to make any music. It doesn't show any kind of method to get started or where to start; It's like a labyrinth.
Everything I produce is made with caustic 3.2..xheck my instrumentals out 💯
