10:17 people aren’t appreciating enough you guessing the card right
That was so poggers
You made a brilliant guess, but really Tennant should have pulled out a 10.
8 that enough?
the best "put me in the writers room" to date
@@FionaLovecraft But games don't remember, they start from scratch
If this was a game, it was won by Donna Noble. Her memory restored, her family, her best friend and a job with UNIT.
CORRECT. Donna with the Dub
I love it, she was always my favorite and still is and she so deserves this brilliant ending!
Yes I always thought that she deserved closure.
So happy for her character. She deserves itttt
Its not a game its a tv show.
i love how the both of us thought Kate was gonna slap the Doctor😂
😂😂😂 swear it was coming
I thought the same
That’s what I thought was gonna happen
I think everyone was thinking it 😅
Yuuup
Honestly RTD said "fuck it..wholesome conclusion we all wanted and i can do what I want" and i respect it wildly 🤣🤣🤣

@@Jackie-McCannmy favourite type of episode!!
it has been done in sense. Toymaker breaks the universe rules cause its beyond universe
The fact the Toymaker took 3 minutes out just to style on UNIT reminds me why i love this wonderful goofy show.
He went for MAXIMUM STYLE points
I think the regeneration was a time loop. At some point, 14 properly regenerates into 15 and is sent back across his own timestream to help his younger self beat the Toymaker.
on disney plus, in the subtitles, the 14th doctor (david tennant) is renamed the 10th doctor, so i think he might have his own new cycle of regeneration
@@GlacierGolfthats a good way to easily bring back david tennant, matt smith, and peter capaldi eventually if they wanna go with the same order of doctors for this new one
@@AdventuringwithTrevorcapaldi and Smith return would be a god tier episode
you guys have got the complete wrong idea about this. An erroneous Disney Plus subtitle isn’t opening the door for Smith and Capaldi to return, and this Tennant Doctor didn’t magically become the 10th again after the bigeneration. He’s the 14th, and one day (likely offscreen) he’ll turn into the 15th. it really is that simple
@@orangut4ngsadly capaldi has been very vocal about not wanting to come back to the show he says his time is done and he's happy with it
When asked about the 60th Catherine said Donna’s ending felt right to her, she’d also said tho she never wants anyone else to play Donna so people assumed she’d die in this but the fact 10/14 gets to live a happy life on earth with his best friend, she was right, this is the correct and most BEAUTIFUL ending to The Doctor/Donna
They deserve it innit
Obviously Russell T Davies confirmed that the Toymaker was not the Boss the meep was referring to and the fact the meep mentioned how rare a creature with two hearts is - my belief and other whovians believe that the person who picked up the ring, the BIG Boss is The Rani (if u haven’t seen classic who she’s a renegade time lord) and since her casting announcement everyone is convinced that Jinkx Monsoon is playing her!
Turlough and Liz Shaw would like a word with Mel about “being the first red-headed companion.”
Lol Mel was the first absolutely flaming orange-head.
Ncuti got the tie and undies so David is going commando! :D
RTD wrote this whole episode that said "i know how the internet is gonna be and I'm gonna do what I want anyway👍" good for him 🤣
Not exactly a flex, that's been happening with Star Wars for years and it's shit now. I enjoyed the episode but disagree with the bi-generation (I shall continue to watch) doesn't mean I agree with every choice. I would have preferred to let David go and focus on Nchuti but it is what it is.
Bloody right
If the Doctor really is an infinite salamander, _then let's do some infinite salamander shit!_
I love Gatwa already but based on what they set up here it looks like he’s gonna have quite a rogues gallery to face.
The perfect way to soft reboot a 60 year old series.
A little bow on the 1-14 eras & then new fresh adventures going forward!
Yessirb
Fourteen having the TARDIS, short trips established = explanation why Fifteen is taking care of Earth things when things happen in his series.
This episode was honestly crazy. We've got the return of the Toymaker & the bi-regenartion. Wow. David Tennant, Neil Patrick Harris & Ncuti Gatwa were great in this scene. 🙌 The table scene with the 14th, Donna & the family made me tear up a little. They are finally happy. 🥹
Bigeneration was genuinely an amazing idea cuz on a meta level it means that all the stuff from the past is with 14, which he’s working through with Donna and fam, and now Ncuti’s doctor gets to have adventures unburdened by the past
That explains the reset of the series. Ncuti’s run begins the Whoniverse era with a “Season 1”
it was such a clever way to reset the series, plus david tennent loves the franchise, this gives him a way to come back someday,
Doesn’t reset anything, a Ncuti is the original doctor the older doctor and 14th is the younger something that came out of the 15th. So nothing has been reset. The 15th still has all that baggage.
@@qs4177 thats the best bit, its been reset for a new era, but of course we still have all of the past we can explore with ncuti, he is still the same doctor, but it feels like the old doctor we grew up watching has retired and his son has taken over the family business, drawing a line between old dr who and new dr who, i know that can be said for all regenerations, but i think RTD did it this particular way deliberately to reset dr who
@@qs4177 he still has all gis past, but he gets time to work through the baggage of it. Like he said, he is a time lord, they do mental recovery out of oder.
Have you thought that this version of the doctor could be Curator the one that is visiting the old favorites?
I think this is one of the few episodes of Doctor Who that has left me speechless, the bi-regeneration thing was totally a massive surprise and i have no words for it. Weird but good episode.
Ballsy
I was so happy with the ending!
You must be an editing whiz kid to get this episode out so fast! I loved how 15 treated 10/14. Self love, respect, genuine concern. No barrier, no sarcasm, no tension; just two people being good to each other. I’m interested to see where the season goes. These 3 episodes had some stumbles, but the relationship between the Doctor and Donna was a joy to see. And I’m glad to see that the Doctor finally got his reward.
Interesting choice with 15/14 but makes sense given his story and the doctor in general. And ty! Tried my best to get a good edit and as quick as possible :)
Between Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder and this, there are SO many references to the past. We even technically got a multi-doctor story!
Good eye!
Honestly the Toymaker's Musical number was the best moment! and Ncuti!
2:42 The TARDIS is actually pretty light!
Rose got her own doctor, Donna got her own doctor. Poor Martha’s stuck with Micky 😂😂
I wouldn't be sure about that
LMAOOOOOOOOO
Mickey's brilliant, he never gets enough love.
damn, I'll take him !! I love mickey 🤲
I definitely didn't cry multiple times when I watched this episode 😶🥲
😢
LOVED it. Fabulous, bonkers and full of fun and love. And Ncuti looks AMAZING!!
I guarantee the ramp on the TARDIS was going to be so they could have a scene with wilf in the new TARDIS
The classic companion made a cameo in Graham's support group
Good eye!
I was dreading watching this episode because I didn’t want to see David Tennant leave again. I’m so happy I watched it and I loved this episode! I can’t wait to watch the 15th Doctor and I’m pleased there’s a chance we might see Fourteen again down the road. I can’t wait to watch the new episodes with you!
on disney plus, in the subtitles, the 14th doctor (david tennant) is renamed the 10th doctor, so i think he might have his own new cycle of regeneration
I had the same reaction - as last week's episode ended it suddenly struck me that we were going to lose David again and I was reminded of how sorry I was to see him go last time. No disrespect to Matt Smith - I was totally sold on him well before the end of his first episode, but I thought it was going to hurt to see the regeneration. RTD gives us a happy ending, a tantalising thread to play with in the future, and nice clean start for the new Doctor (there'll be no need to keep referencing the traumas of his previous lives).
This episode really spiced up my life
I was one of the people that saw the regeneration leaked and thought i was going to hate it. But after giving it some though i like it.
Loved Neil Patrick Harris as the toymaker. Looks like he had a fun time playing him especially during that musical number.
Especially that number
No recency bias but this is genuinely one of the best episodes in years!! Let’s gooo!
Let’s go! Glad you enjoyed it
this feels like a fanfic haha wdym best ep? everyone their own opinion ig

Man- I’m grabbing a lotto that was so sick hahaah
I was absolute blown away by the conclusion of the 60th anniversary. I was screaming and crying through the whole duration. I love the idea of the Bi-generation adds a layer of mystery and complexity to the show. I love the relationship between 14 and 15, such an awesome bromance, the way 15 comforted 14 and assured him it's ok to rest was heartbreaking ...💔
9.5-10 Amazing conclusion to 60 years of WHO

Ncuti is absolutely perfect for the role as the Doctor, it was a huge shock twist that Doctor 14 is still around and that I am happy for as David is my doctor that I first knew. Wow though I just cannot wait for Ncuti to show us his new Doctor, I am already excited for the upcoming special and the new series. ❤
I’m excited for him too!
They just couldn't make us lose 1014 again- it is a gift really.
This ending just makes me so freaking happy. I just loved it. The more I've thought about the more I love it.
The Toymaker was such a fantastic returning villain and absolutely terrifying and ruthless. Neil absolutely stole the show and he should do more villain roles.
Also when David didn’t fully regenerate and copied the next Doctor I was like “WHAT! WTF!” I already love Ncuti as The Doctor, he’s gonna be fantastic.
This was absolutely the best special and actually felt like a Doctor Who episode, the set up was perfect, the villain was perfect and the ending perfect. Also The Master is loose so that’s gonna be interesting to see how he fully comes back
I love this. Its took a little while after the episode for me to get it but the doctor we've been watching for 60 years finally gets to take a break with his new family. The 15th doctor gets to carry on with the adventures in time and space.
Also it gives us an excuse to have a Doctor and Donna spin off lol.
I loved it the fact Dona and everyone on unit roof and the 14th doctor didn't realise the 15th doctor had no pants on talk about awkward regeneration 😂😂😂
Technically speaking 14th and 15th split the clothes they were wearing....so 14th has no nickers on!
This was an amazing episode. One of my favorites ever. The Celestial Toymaker was a top tier villain. NPH did outstanding. The funhouse was proper creepy. The play with the puppets he put on to catch Donna up on what’s happened with The Doctor since he left her was 👌. Digs deep into his tortured psyche and how he copes with leading them to death. Oh, well that’s alright!
I know it’s gonna be contreversal but the bi-reneregation is such a fun direction for the franchise. I was so happy to see this face get to be part of Donna’s family and be totally content at the end. David Tennant’s Doctor was the most “human” of all The Doctors after all. We paid off that line he gave Rose ages ago about her getting to live the one adventure he never can. Just living normal life day-after-day. But he has a Tardis of his own, so he could merge back with Ncuti’s Doctor in the future. We could see a spin off. This is WILD!
bi generation is for confused trans people
Yeah it was objectively bd
"Bitter" One word to describe all the new Episodes
Who-CZcamsr: Im blind for Faults, integrityless and will not call out any b.s. IF i even noticed it which isnt certain and oh my god, i will most definetly not show Spine and recognize openly the giant Middlefinger
that is it make-canon and extra-mention the TImeless-Child, a Storyline the vast majority of Fans did not like
The Doctor who didnt want to go, got to stay 🥺
😭
19:35 . The Toymaker making himself massive reminded me of the Arkham games when Scarecrow would be huge and you’d have to sneak around him.
From my understanding 14 will have his therapy and go on to be 15 so they eventually become one again. The toymaker was an amazing choice instead of the usual Master finale and I hope we get more classic villians making their long deserved return. I feel like bi regeneration is a concept that could have been done so badly like the timless child but RTD still pulled through in the end.
The Doctor lied - bi-regeneration has happened before, and to the Doctor no less. See classic Who episode "Logopolis" (although we see the other end, the two returning to one, in that episode).
11: I could retire and become The Curator
The Curator: I really think you might
👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
People are going to complain about the bi-generation, but if they take a moment it makes sense. The whole planet has become a realm of the Toymaker, in which it is stated that all normal rules are suspended. By default, this has to apply to the Doctor as well, meaning that one of the least understood events in the universe, a Time Lord regeneration, would be allowed to go totally bonkers. Of course, the only question left is whether Tennant will be included in any of the spin offs Davies has planned, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Good point!
Wow, that something I hadn't considered. If the rules Toymaker had established was in effect when the regeneration happened. He didn't even know what was going on when Doctor had to split.
My favourite episode since, I can't even remember when. It's at least on par with Listen, and The Doctor Falls.
The bi-regen is probably controversial. But it needn't be. Nothing's really changed except that the previous incarnation didn't die this time, he lived happily ever after. The new incarnation is identical to what he would be. All the same memories, knowledge, and came from the previous one's body.
When it said destination Christmas I immediately thought about the town called Christmas
parts of this episode were setups for the UNIT spinoff that's being developed.
0:38 That's Soho, Central London... not Soho, Manhattan. In case you were wondering!
Doctor who is fun again
Make who fun again. Accomplished
The actress who plays the new companion played a smackhead teenager in one of our most popular soaps “coronation street”
I loved this episode. I'm happy the doctors both survived and 10/14 got the ending he deserved. 10/10. Excited for ncuti to begin his run. Love the energy he brings
RTD gets mad respect for even *attempting* to put a satisfying, happy bow on 60 years of stories AND letting the adventure continue. Honestly my biggest issue with this episode is I didn’t find the Toymaker stuff all that engaging.
Filtering the entirety of human interaction through games is a cool idea, thematically, but the whole plot just didn’t hold my attention.
I felt like it wasn't very well patched. The Toymaker was a very posing threat, but he didn't feel that way while playing against the Doctors, I felt like he lacked the engagement in the game, and the commitment to not lose. Sure, he would never break the rules, but I honestly didn't expect him to just give up after seeing the ball fall off the building, at least have him jump off the building to catch the ball, 'cause if he did, in theory he would win since it never bounced on the ground, then have the Doctors try to figure a way out to catch it in time. That would make the last game more climatic, 'cause the way they just threw a bunch of cuts of them throwing the ball around until the Toymaker let it slip felt VERY anticlimatic and honestly... not worthy of the character at all
@@Koraki0000 So true but that the joys of only making 3 episode's definitely needed more episodes to make the toy maker part more worthy.
This Toymaker character was a mess. Was the Toymaker a showman, a puppetmaster behind the scenes, or a participant in games? Those don't really fit together. Why does a compulsive game player set a trap for a peerless rival just to play the most trivial games possible? There might be reasons for the Doctor to pick the most trivial games but they were not explained either.
the fact that 9's regeneration music was playing when Melanie said "fantastic".... *chef's kiss*
so now the valeyard mystery is solved it is bi-generation, hope we get the doctor vs valeyard again that will be entertatining
How did you release this so quickly. Are you a time lord?

I remember finding your reactions to Who a while back, it's been quite the journey. Almost feels just as unreal to still be here with your reactions after all this time as it does with the show!
Surprisingly really loved this episode. Ncuti won my heart almost instantly. I'm interested to see what they do with the changes. Idk if it'll end up amazing, but I hope it does.
It's pretty easy for this type of move to fall flat. It's ludicrous, joyous, a happy ending of miracles and then some... but I think they managed to pull it off. Who has always been just a goofy and miraculous as it can be heavy and tragic.
Love your reactions, this journey has been fantastic, and here's to looking forward to the show's future! Good luck Ncuti!
you were fast on this one. 10/10 for me personally
Tyty
Complete aside: You don't EVEN know how hard I squealed when I heard you mention Farscape. I love that show but it seems so few people have seen it. You have a big fan now!
Ayy! Thank you :) fellow Farscape fan. We reacted to most of S1 here and finished it on patreon
Yeah the music is a touch of Matt Smith's "Mad Man With a Blue Box." Because he's definitely got a touch of that Madman!
I loved that they left it so David could "guest" when required, or even do the odd "special" with Donna. Ncuti Gatwa's Dr. was full of fun and engergy, just like David was. That' what was missing with the last two Whos.
Or... 10/14 has ALREADY guested ;-) Who knows? Who... knows?
The 14th must be a special kind of Doctor. They usually don't hug when they meet themselves.
Failwhale: "I wonder who the shadow writer was for this episode"
Also Failwhale: "The Doctor's gonna draw an eight"
Love this! Also the windex giggle joke made my day.
😂❤
I love that the Doctor is still the president of the world.
I wish Tennant had said, at the table with the Nobles, that "I didnt think I'd ever want to stay in one place. But now that I'm here, with you, I don't wanna go."
"He's gonna grab an eight... OMG!!!" That was just perfect dude. :D
This episode was outstanding. Tennant, Tate, Harris, Ncut, everyone shined. Harris looked like he was having a blast doing the dance. Really looking forward to seeing what comes next.
Also, if I had a nickel for every time Tennant's doctor is split in two & one goes on to live a domestic life with a former companion, I'd have two nickels. "Which isn't a lot, but it's strange it happened twice."
The ending with the gold tooth, Maybe it's a hint that The Master may return at some point?
on disney plus, in the subtitles, the 14th doctor (david tennant) is renamed the 10th doctor, so i think he might have his own new cycle of regeneration

I'm so happy that the Saturday episodes and Christmas specials are back.
Same. Hoping we have more regular who over the next few years
Yeah Donna is a pretty fast typewriter. She mentioned it in journeys end
3:31 This whole scene just called out the entire planet in a way that I could only ever DREAM of accomplishing. Simply beautiful.
The new Doctor was also in Sex Education, on Netflix. Which I enjoyed and recommend. Although it's pretty... raunchy. So it depends on your sensibilities, I guess. Let's just say it lives up to its title. Lol.
"We shitting the bed here, what are we doing?" Best response ever. that look on Tennant's face lol
How do you edit these so fast to such great quality? Great as always man
You just do it
Great reaction as always man
Cheers mate 🎉
I love the fact that the mad man in a blue box has the most authority in the earth.
It’s hilarious, but at the same time it reminds me of the situation this planet is in right now.
I have a feeling Ncuti Gatwa is going to be an amazing doctor. This was my first time seeing him in anything and I really love his energy.
"im genuinly trying to figure out how I feel about this" same, same
15:00 If Doctor Who is gonna do crazy shit, they may as well do fun crazy shit.
The daleks are gonna loose their shit when they learn there are now two doctors.
This is getting out of hand, now there's two of them!
11:42 Bonnie Langford (who plays Mel) is actually only 7 years older than David Tennant! She is 59 and he is 52.
""Best temp in Chiswick! 100 words per minute!"
Since they separated, Doctor 14 taking a rest to recoup will have no affect on Doctor 15. They are now in parallel regenerations.
It would have worked better if the 14th Doctor HADEN’T regenerated, but the 15th Doctor TARDISes in from the future, gives the same speech about rest, then we follow him off into the universe.
That way, there’s no parallel regenerations, only an unseen 14/15 regeneration somewhere in the future that we may, or may not, see.
“Stooky Bill” was an actual thing. The very first television picture.
I like the idea of 14 still being able to regenerate and thats the doctor who's the curator of the museum.
THE DOUBLE BUBBLE!
What'd **YOU** think of this one?
Melanie Bush - companion of the 6th (Baker) & 7th (McCoy) Doctors - a computer programmer who never touvhed a computer in the series until this episode.
Ncuti Gatwa is an actor I know bugger all about, like Tennant and Smith when they started, so I'm really excited to see where we go from here!!
Apparently the BBC iPlayer had extra notations from RTD during the episode that said the bigeneration caused split timelines where all the past doctors revived too so now they're all free to continue doing their own thing as well
Remember in the 50th anniversary, you had the curator of the museum. I wonder
That was my reaction too I was like two doctors awesome 😂❤it I watched the regeneration on CZcams
What a surprise.....RTD manages to get the word "BI" to be a main part of the doctor's regeneration.....
I wonder how many others have caught on that the woman's hand who picks up the tooth where the Master was trapped, looks exactly like the woman's hand who picks up the ring that came from the Master's finger. From the Cult of Saxon?
I think if we see tennant again hes going to have become the Valeyard. To quote capaldi "every story ever told ends in death if you tell it long enough." If he sticks around hes going to see wilf, sylvia, shaun, donna and rose all die one by one from old age or bad luck and theres nothing he can do about it, and as a trans woman i can confirm rose isnt having kids any time soon. Doctor Noble is going to see his entire family die and it is going to break him. Maybe he cant regenerate, maybe Ncuti took that with him. The Valeyard did always want to steal the Doctors regenerations back in the day.
I really hope im right because seeing an embittered tennant become Ncutis endgame boss would be sick and poetic given how he was born.
I do think the Valeyard is The One Who Waits.
Now there two doctors
